Late last month we got to see some screencaps from the failed NBC pilot of the new Wonder Woman TV series, written by David E. Kelley and starring Adrienne Palicki, and today we get to watch some video footage from the pilot. Unfortch, the clip that has made its way to the Internets is only about 30 seconds long … but it does show us Wonder Woman in action in her classic tiny hot pants (as opposed to the terrible blue leggings). “Wonder Woman” may never see the light of the day, yet another sneak peek from the canceled pilot has come out. In the 30-second snippet, superhero fans can catch a glimpse of the titular character in short shorts while she is ready to fight some bad guys. The hot pants were previously reported as part of three costumes which were going to be used on the reboot project. Back in April before NBC axed the project, the network’s president Robert Greenblatt revealed the shorts “are actually used in the final confrontation when she beats Veronica Cale.” Set to portray the superheroine was Adrianne Palicki, with Elizabeth Hurley being cast as villainous Cale. NBC, however, decided not to pick up the show after the pilot reportedly earned mixed reviews at test screenings.
While the clip doesn’t really show us much of Wonder Woman, we do get to see how fantastic she looks in the classic WW costume rather than the horrid new one they came up with for the show. As I said before, I think I’m actually relieved that this new WW series isn’t going to air on TV but I am SO curious to see how the pilot turned out. It must be really, really bad if NBC decided not to air it … but even still, I’m dying to see how Kelley‘s new vision of Wonder Woman turned out. It’s hard to judge the pilot based on this short clip but … my guess is that the full WW pilot is cheesetastic.

The dialogue is rough, but I think it could’ve worked.
I’m curious why it was pitched to NBC instead of the CW. This looks like the perfect replacement for Smallville, and CW is owned by Warner Bros. – who also owns the Wonder Woman character.

I know that was short but I don’t think I could have made it though much more of it! She was walking like she had a big ole stick up her butt. Just didn’t seem very natural.
