Green Lantern Rocks The Milk’Stache For The British ‘Make Mine Milk’ Campaign

Got Milk?

Here in the US we have the Got Milk? campaign … in the UK, they call it the Make Mine Milk campaign. The campaigns to get kids to drink milk may have different names but they have the same goal and the same milk’stache gimmick. In new poster artwork released in the UK this month, Green Lantern (played by Ryan Reynolds) is rockin’ the milk’stache … which you can see below.

Hal Jordan is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Hee hee … I kinda love the silliness of this campaign poster. Yes, the milk’stache looks funny on most people’s lips … but on Green Lantern, it’s just too much. I’m not sure if this kind of stuff actually gets kids to drink milk but … more power to them. What do y’all think of Green Lantern‘s love of cow juice? Are you a fan?

I’ve never understood the push to have children drink milk which is a fatty, hormonal stew. Plus, as a person who is lactose intolerant with offspring the same, there’s no overriding benefits that I can see, except to the milk producers who sponsor these ads. Soda drinks are not the only alternative. Now I see the UK has joined in. I find the whole thing strange.
