Previously we’ve seen promo photos of Jason Momoa in costume as Conan the Barbarian but none of them really showed how gnarly the character will look in the film. Even the original Arnold Schwarzenegger Barbarian films featured a Conan that looked, for the most part, “pretty”. But today we get to see a new photo of Momoa as Conan and as you can see … he actually looks like a barbarian … with facial battle scars and all.
I am really loving the way this new Conan film is starting to shape up. I am always so bothered by fantasy films that feature “barbarian” type characters that have perfect skin, perfect hair, perfect teeth … it’s not believable. Trust me, I get that audiences don’t always go to the movies to see ugly, dirty reality … but I know I really respect realism in film. It’s hard to tell from just this one photo, but it seems as if Momoa‘s Conan will be a grittier, more roughed up barbarian … which I really like. If this photo is a sign of things to come, I’m sold. Um … and can we please, for a moment, take some time to recognize his SICK body? I may have not been a big fan of Jason Moma‘s casting as Conan the Barbarian initially but I’ve certainly changed my opinion based on what I’ve seen of the promo materials thus far. I am really likin’ what I’m seein’ so far.

I’m with you on that one. I would love to be the girl that plays Dary. When I saw the first eps of Game of Thrones I could not sleep… I kept thinking about Jason as Khal Dorgo. O.M.G! He is the only reason I watch that show. If they kill him off I will stop watching it…maybe the story line is pretty good I love Sean Bean too.

I probably would never have been interested in a film like that but after seeing him in Game of Thrones which I love, i think I might have to go & see it at the cinema. He’s sooo hawt!! Lisa Bonet is one lucky lady!
ugh, dunno Arnold has kind of set the bar too high and Momoa is not cutting it for me, but I’ll wait to see the movie before running into any conclusions,
As a Conan fan. Arnold was a good comic book character he never looked look like the Conan for the original book by Robert E Howard. Jason is the prefect Conan. I was not happy that they were doing a remake. But, when I heard the Jason Momoa he the lead part, I was sooo excited. I’m a big fan of Jason’s and I know he will do a great job.
He looks more like Conan though. The real Conan from the graphic novels.
I will most definetly going to see this movie. I’m a fan of Jason Momoa. Someone on here was right. Lisa Bonet is a lucky lady. DAMN!!! :-)
