Suri Holmes-Cruise, the only begotten child of the union of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, celebrated her 5th birthday in SoCal yesterday with some family and a few of her parents’ closest friends at a backyard party at their Beverly Hills, CA home. Suri, who was the belle of the ball, was seated at the head of the table, carefully opening her presents. Check out some fun photos from her 5th birthday fête below.
While I’m pretty sure that Suri wasn’t opening any boxes of penis-shaped gummi candies, I’m gonna venture a guess that the little princess was gifted with any and everything her heart desired. It’s insane to me to think that it’s been 5 years since Suri was born. She is no longer TomKat‘s little robot baby … she’s a little girl now. Let’s send Suri our warmest birthday wishes for many many more happy birthdays to come. Something tells me that we are going to have an interesting time watching this little one continue to grow up.

I was wondering the same thing! Usually little kids birthdays have loads of other children. I hope she has playmates.
i’ve definitely heard katie talking about suri having sleepovers with her friends. also she and suri plan suri’s birthday parties together and katie talked about suri making namecards for all her friends one year.
Gee. I wonder if they’ll let her walk on her own now?

man you never realize how fast time goes by until you see how fast a child ages. i cant believe shes 5!
@Laura — good one!! I was thinking the same thing!! I wonder if they carry her in order to get away from the constant barrage of camera flashes. It does seem she’s in Katie or Tom’s arms a lot.
If I had grown men/paparazzi running at me, screaming, jostling, pumping and grabbing me, there’s NO WAY I would let my little 5 year old girl walk next to me. I’d TOTALLY carry her everywhere in public. I’m sure inside the security of their home they’re boringly normal. Suri seems very cute!
