Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka & The Twins Take A Family Trip

Neil Patrick Harris, his hubby David Burtka and the couple’s twin babies Harper Grace & Gideon Scott were spotted at LAX Airport ready to embark on what I presume is the family’s first flight together! Neil and the fam are hittin’ the road so they can promote his new film Beastly (which stars Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer). As you can see in the photos below, David was charged with carrying Gideon while the nanny carried Harper … and NPH looked on adoringly.

This time last year he had just performed the opening number at the Academy Awards. But last night Neil Patrick Harris avoided the Hollywood madness and instead jetted out of Los Angeles with partner David Burtka and their children. The couple were spotted at the airport terminal with very precious cargo – their five-month-old twins Harper Grace and Gideon Scott. The 37-year-old How I Met Your Mother star carried the luggage while a nanny helped David with the pair’s son and daughter. ‘Happy Oscar Sunday!’ Harris tweeted earlier in the day exactly one year after he opened the show at the Oscars. ‘I’m grateful that I’ll be watching from my living room this year, and not hyperventilating offstage, about to perform.’ But during the show the family headed to the airport to jet off on the promotional tour for Neil’s new movie Beastly, alongside Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer. Neil and David, 35, who is also an actor, welcomed the fraternal twins in October via a surrogate. Harris recently revealed that the couple have found a playdate partner for their son and daughter in the form of Elton John and David Furnish’s son Zachary. ‘Elton and David came to our house for Zachary’s first play date a couple weeks back,’ Neil said. ‘They’re great guys. They’re super great parents. They’re so fiercely involved in their son’s life and it’s really kind of great to watch them interact with him.’

OMG … will you look at those CHEEKS!! OY! So cute. I can’t even imagine what it must be like to fly with babies … it’s difficult enough to deal with air travel when all you have to do is lug around your luggage. Not only do babies add to the stuff you have to carry but they are also things you have to carry as well. It looks like Neil and David are pros, tho … having a nanny along for the ride can’t hurt either. Isn’t this just the cutest family ever? Love them!!
