Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka Take The Twin Babies For A Stroll

A Couple of Hangers-On Tag Along

Late last month we got our first look at twin babies Harper Grace and Gideon Scott with their proud fathers Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka in the pages of People magazine. Today we get to see the babies (kinda) enjoying a family stroll with their two dads and a couple of friends. The Burtka-Harris family braved the chilly SoCal rain yesterday to enjoy a family stroll … but the babies, bless their little hearts, were safely tucked out of sight inside their fathers’ shirts and jackets.

So cute, right? Adorable family … dogs included. Oh and if those hangers-on in these photos with Neil and David look familiar that’s because they are my BFFs Emma and Josh. As you may recall, Em and Josh got engaged on New Year’s Eve and they are really good friends with Neil and David. Unfortch for them, tho, they are unfamiliar with posing for the paparazzi:

LOL!! So funny, right? Well, here’s hoping that Emma and Josh get better acquainted with the paparazzi … as actors themselves, they are bound to be rich and famous some day :) As much as I LOVE NPH, David and the twins … I’m really most excited about posting the photos of Emma and Josh. Hahahahaha ;)

I LOVE them, NPH is as awesome as it gets, and it’s wonderful to see him so happy. Also, Em and Josh look like pros ;)

Trent, I was waiting for your excitement over Neil’s cap to bubble over but I completely understood upon scrolling down how the BFFs would take precedence ;)

  5. Ella

They are such a handsome couple!

  6. Jennifer Chun

How can they breathe zipped up in those jackets??!

  7. katy

This is a random question, but does anyone know what breed the little dog is? Looks a lot like my dog, which I found as a stray and have always wondered what breed he is.

  8. Sara

HAH that’s awesome that E&J were photographed with them.

  9. Jonathan

I’m sorry but I can’t look at those pictures without gasping for air. I’m surprised the babies made it home alive after this walk. If I were anywhere near them I would have smacked them in the face. Seriously.

    agree w jonathan….WTF?!

Don’t worry Jonathan, the kids are okay. Do you have any kids yourself (not trying to be rude with that comment, just asking)?

This is how babies have been carried around for centuries. They are getting plenty of air. You can loosely hold a thin cloth over your face and still breathe just fine unless you are jogging or something. And it is what babies prefer. They are happy being held. Infants particularly like to be held tightly.

Who wouldn’t feel better snuggled up to the chest of one of those two hotties?

  12. Jonathan

Um, Bucky, no you are wrong. I have two kids and you don’t cover their faces. Their pipes aren’t very large and they need unobstructed air. It’s very nice to have them snuggled up to your chest. Covering their faces with material is a bad idea. Why don’t you cover your face with a cloth and see how good you feel (and you have fully formed lungs and bronchii). My kids are 17 and 20. I’m not so sure these twins are going to make it that far.

    • Neil

Really, Jonathan? You’re not so sure our kids are “going to make it that far”? Really?

The twins are super ok. Breathing fine. We’re very aware of how they breathe, and the difference between keeping them warm and smothering them.

You, however, as a father yourself, might want to rethink wishing death upon our infants.

Very adorable family photos! Don’t know if that’s really NPH, but I’m a long-time fan.
I just wanted to add a little bit of information that I heard about the baby slings. The baby slings are probably ok but there have been some reported deaths & serious injuries. Just wanted to make this information available to any parents who might be reading this so they can take that into consideration. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35838812/ns/health-kids_and_parenting/

  13. OMG!! I AM OBSESSED WITH NPH!! SERIOUSLY.
