Last night Bravo TV aired part 1 of the reunion special of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills … and while the ep was juicy fun to watch, it appears that the real dirt is being saved for part 2 of the reunion special scheduled to air next Tuesday. The show has been teasing the possibility that castmember Kim Richards has a substance abuse problem (and it appears that that subject will be discussed on Tuesday’s episode) but today we get to see video provided by TMZ of Kim very obviously so inebriated at an airport this past Summer that she was not allowed to fly.
“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kim Richards was confronted by cops at an airport recently after terminal staff complained she was TOO WASTED to fly … and it was all caught on tape. TMZ obtained footage of a boozy Kim slurring, stammering and popping pills at San Francisco International airport back in July. After repeatedly bothering staff about a flight delay — airport security arrives to the scene to help control the situation … and cops soon discover Kim was in the wrong terminal all along. At one point cops say to Kim, “Have you had anything to drink today … [the staff] is kind of concerned about your sobriety.” We’re told Kim was eventually escorted out of the airport without further incident. Family sources tell us they’ve been dealing with Kim’s “issues” for a long time.
Wow. To be honest, while watching season 1 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills I never suspected that Kim had a substance abuse problem … I thought she was just painfully socially awkward. As soon as Kyle Richards, Kim‘s sister, brought to light on the season finale episode that Kim has a drinking problem, it just all made sense. This video is just sad to see. Not only was Kim drunk but she was also popping pills in that airport. As I understand it, Kim‘s family forced her into rehab shortly after filming ended on RHOBC but she checked herself out a week later. To my knowledge, she has not returned to rehab for treatment. Next Tuesday’s episode of the RHOBC reunion special is bound to shed some light on Kim‘s problems … but, IMHO, this video speaks volumes of what is really going on with her … and it’s really, really sad ;(

So sad. Isn’t she the mother of like 20 kids some of which are really young?? If you don’t want to be sober for yourself do it for your kids.
A few episodes into the season I could tell that there was something going on with Kim. I didn’t realize how bad it was until the last episode of RHOBH. That was really hard for me to watch. Kim has a lot of issues that she obviously hasn’t gotten over or dealt with. I hate that this season is over already. These ladies have really been my favorite cast so far. I started out hating Camille and loving Kyle but I actually kind of like Camille now. As far as Kyle goes, I liked her but now I just find her annoying and catty. Lisa is still my favorite though.
The reunion show was hard to watch last night. I know Kim is a hot mess but Kyle didn’t say a word to Taylor when she was going off on Kim. No one can get under your skin like a sibling but let someone else talk to my family that way and i’ll open a can of TEXAS on your azz.
For Kyle to get mad at Kim for not having her back, but she never defends Kim w/Taylor and that’s why I’m sick of Kyle. I don’t care what kinda problems your sister has, you shouldn’t let your new “bff” talk to her that way. and a can of TEXAS is alot scarier than a can of Oklahoma! (sorry Trent!)
i agree…i have loved kyle this entire season but let out a big WTF when they showed taylor whispering about kim’s “state of mind” or whatever.
i understand exactly what it’s like to have substance abuse issues in your family and what that can do to relationships and the way you speak to or how you treat a family member…but there is no excuse for letting someone else trash talk them. they are still family.
Kim has a lot of issues that she needs to work out. It doesn’t help that she doesn’t talk about it with her sister or with her family. Poor girl lost a fiancee, was a child star, took care of her family at such a young age and is dealing with her children growing up and leaving the nest. I feel for her.
I grew up with my mom addicted to prescription pills. As a kid, it’s so scary to watch. I hope for the sake of her children, if not for anything else, she gets help.
As for last night, loved it. Taylor I just do NOT like. It’s almost as if she has found the easy target to pick on, and that is Kim. Kim had a valid point about being surprised about the going Oklahoma on her ass sounding threatening and how she was suprised someone who works for a charity for domestic violence victims would say something like that. Taylor jumped all over her for it, but it’s true!!! blah. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lisa and Adrienne
How very sad. I hope that the next season will show her getting some kind of treatment for this.
I started out likeing the RHOBH, but in time Lisa,Kyle,and Taylor turned me off.Lisa, was too blame for the mess that Taylor started at her Birthday party.And Kyle,is really stuck on herself.I like Camille,and Adrienne.Kyle takes side with the other ladies against her own sister she knows that her sister needs help.But its all about her and what she is tired of doing for her.Ireally think that Kyle is very selfish.And i love kim she has had a hard time,Thank God for Adrienne who knows how to show compassion she is the voice of reason.

i can totally understands kyle’s frustrations with kim. can’t understand how she’s friends with taylor tho.
