‘Water For Elephants’ Releases A First Movie Trailer
Circus act
Since last June we got to see photos from the SoCal set of the new film Water for Elephants … including train scenes, horse scenes, elephant scenes and dog scenes. Today, we get our first look at the first movie trailer for the film:

To be honest, I’m still not convinced that this movie is for me. I know I’ve voiced concerns about the film before but so many Pink readers have encouraged me to see the film (or at least read the book it it based on) that I became convinced that I might like the film. I dunno … this trailer doesn’t really wow me, to be honest. Check it out in full after the jump, and judge for yourselves …
So Elephants book fans, does this trailer look like it does the novel justice? For those of you unfamiliar with the book (like me), does this look like a movie that you’d like to see?

hmmmm. Suspicious that in the trailer there’s lots of shots of Pattinson looking brooding, but he only says one line. I really want to see an amazing performance from him, but having seen about 6 or 7 films with him in them, and all of the performances being kinda lame, I wonder if this is the one he knocks out the park or………not? Is he going to be the face that never delivers, or will he blossom like Brad Pitt did? Hope so. But currently, still holding my breath……
Everyone here just convinced me to read the book… Will go buy it once I find a coupon at Borders
@Ashley that was EXACTLY what I thought – Titanic at the circus!!
Lisa L. go online and buy it used. Or get it at the library. It’s not something that begs to be reread.
Read the Book Trent- it’s such a fast paced read, I just read it this summer. I’m not into the circus at all but this story was amazing and the cast of actors they have playing the characters in the book are right on!!
No clue what the book’s about, but I loved that the trailer didn’t give away the movie (at least in my eyes)
All of the comments have me wanting to read the book, though, so I may have to pick that up! :P
Trent – you MUST read the book. I yelped a little when I heard there is a movie coming out. I am so EXCITED.
I reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy loved the book!! i hope the movie delivers, unlike other book-based films (twilight, Percy Jackson, exc.). i think it’s going for more of the romance aspect of the story than the realistic view. when i heard of a movie,i had to tell everyone that i had told to read the book, that they have to see the movie. but im not sure i want to see the movie, it might kill my love for the book.
