Longtime lovebirds Nicole Richie and Joel Madden may have gotten hitched here in SoCal a couple of weeks ago but the newlyweds had not been seen together in public … until now. As you may recall, Nicole was spotted out and about doing a bit of Xmas shopping here in LA last week but hubby Joel was nowhere to be seen. All of that changed this weekend when Mr. & Mrs. Nic/Joel were spotted together hittin’ up the gym.

As you can see, Nicole was none too pleased to be photographed after having worked out in just a vigorous way at the gymnasium but I, personally, am very happy to see Nicole and Joel out and about together. Without question, they are among the bizziest celebs in Hollywood so it’s no big surprise that they’ve not been seen together in public since their wedding. I guess it took until after the Xmas holiday for the couple to find some downtime to work on their fitness together.
