We are just DAYS away from Lindsay Lohan‘s release from the Betty Ford Center (brace yourselves) and today we are learning of Lindsay‘s post-rehab plans. The troubled starlet is lookin’ to get right back to work as soon as she is sprung from rehab and the first thing on her agenda will be to launch her very own line of shoes. Yes, her 6126 brand — which is, thus far, made up of leggings and a full clothing line — is now being expanded to include Lindsay Lohan shoes.
E! News has exclusively learned that, upon her release from rehab next week, Lindsay is going to get cracking on expanding her 6126 fashion brand into footwear … “She’ll finalize everything when she’s out,” says a rep for 6126, who describes the shoes Lindsay has in mind as “classic, glamorous, timeless with a sexy flair.” An official announcement is expected early next year and, if all goes according to plan, the line will debut next fall.
Firstly, I think getting back to work is a great idea for post-rehab Lindsay. If she is preoccupied with a constructive project that will keep her too bizzy to party, then she has a much better chance at success with her sobriety. That being said, I’m not sure how successful Lindsay will be at selling shoes. As you may horridly recall, her mother Dina Lohan attempted last year to launch her own line of shoes called Shoe-Han (yes, seriously) … but the demand for the footwear was so embarrassingly low, the line got canceled before it even got off the ground. It’s entirely possible that Lindsay will have more luck with her line of shoes but … I wouldn’t really bet on it. I understand Lindsay‘s 6126 leggings line sells moderately well but I haven’t really heard much of the success of the 6126 clothing line. Still, I applaud L. Lo for trying to stay productive as soon as she gets out of rehab. I wish her all the success in the world … but … c’mon … do YOU think anyone would want to seriously wear Lindsay Lohan shoes?

Umm shoe-han?!?! How did that fail?!? She needs to def focus on something, I’m thinking she should get into some serious acting classes and get back to acting. She was(is?) so talented and a shame her life derailed her.

I feel like Lilo has spent more time in rehab than out this year! Has anyone done a tally? ;) I truly hope she finds something constructive to dive into and that she gets better.
People, It truly should not matter if Lindsay is involved or not. If the styling and prices are right, they WILL sell. Do you really think people wear Jessica Simpsons shoes because they have her name in it, NO they don’t at all. They buy them because the styling is right on and so is the price and yes Jessica sells A LOT of shoes but not because of her.
@biznitch…I think you’re wrong there. I don’t know anyone famous or otherwise who has worn anything from her line of fashion. I think people will also veto her line of shoes. There aren’t too many people around who want to be associated with this wreck of a girl. It’s a little like bad friends by association…you hang out with the wrong people, you get a bad name. Jessica’s line does well because even though she’s a bit of a ditz, she’s not seen in a bad light, therefore there’s no bad conotation with her name. Also, it’s a little like the celebrity perfumes…true fans will buy it, others not so much. I can’t stand Beyonce, so there’s no way I’d like to smell like her. Or Paris Hilton for that matter. It has nothing to do with styling or price, but all about the person themselves.
