It was a Happy Xmas for Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner and his 24 year old girlfriend Crystal Harris … because the couple got themselves engaged to be married yesterday on Xmas day!! Hugh casually broke the news of the couple’s engagement on his official Twitter profile when he tweeted about the ring that he gave to Crystal on the “happiest Christmas weekend in memory”.
Hugh Hefner rang in the holidays with an engagement ring. The Playboy founder is engaged to girlfriend Crystal Harris, 24, he announced on Twitter … This will be the third marriage for Hefner. In 2009 he filed for divorce from his second wife, former Playmate Kimberly Conrad, after the two separated in 1998. He was previously married to Mildred Williams; their marriage ended in divorced in 1959. Harris was December 2009′s Playboy Playmate.

And there you have it, just like that … the world’s most famous playboy is off the market. I had always thought that Hugh would end up getting engaged and then married to his ex-longtime girlfriend Holly Madison. When those two broke up, I was certain that Hugh Hefner would live out the rest of his days as a single bachelor … guess I was wrong. Despite the 60 years age difference, I’m sure that Hugh and Crystal have enough in common for the couple to have a very happy marriage together … right? Holly Madison was cool, but she didn’t split with Hugh because he didn’t want kids with her, she split because he became too controlling and she grew tired of his “rules”. She met Chris Angel while still living in the Playboy Mansion and relationships with other men weren’t allowed (yeah, even though Hef had several other girlfriends!)
now see…this just ticks me off. holly did love him. you could tell. if he didn’t want to marry holly, then he shouldn’t have told her he wasn’t interested in marriage period. he’s lost respect in my book. this blonde rubs me the wrong way. with holly, there was love. this one seems just like the typical airhead blonde.

I looked at Holly side-ways when they first got together but after a while you could tell that she really did love him and had his best interest at heart. This new blonde, not so much in my book. I loved Holly and Hef together though, you could tell she really loved him. I mean hell, look at that crazy ass replica of his original home in Chicago it took her 2 years to have finished and still gave it to him even after they split. She seemed to genuinely care for Hef.

Wooow…I bet Holly Madison is fuming! It reminds me of a When Harry Met Sally quote…”All this time I thought he didn’t want to get married. But, the truth is, he didn’t want to marry me.” So fitting.
There is no way that these two have anything of significance in common. But I guess that neither of them care. Hef likes to be thought of as the ultimate playboy, so marrying this girl certainly strengthens that image, plus, he gets to sleep with a hot young chick (but he can do that without getting married – so I’m confused about that). She on the other hand gets access to his money. Although I’m sure they will have a prenup, she will still be taken care of in case of a divorce, and if there’s no divorce, he will not live forever, so she’ll still inherit lots of money. She stands to gain much more than he in this marriage.
Amanda – oftentimes, a man is in a relationship with a woman, and she wants to get married and he doesn’t, or is unsure, not ready, etc. She keeps the pressure up, but he never pops the question, so eventually, she goes away. But the whole time the guy is in the relationship, he’s slowly getting used to the idea of marriage, and by the time the relationship is over and he starts a new one, he’s finally open to marriage, and he proposes to the “new” woman. It really isn’t so much that the other woman wasn’t the right one, it’s more like he’s accepted the concept of marriage, and once he does that, he acts quickly.

Look at it this way harris only needs to be faithfull for another 10 years at the most. She will still be young enough to marry a guy 10 years younger than her and be the sugar momma!
