Despite plans to the contrary, I was NOT able to make my way down to San Diego, CA last night to see the amazing Dresden Dolls live in concert. Without going into the details that will likely enrage me again, I ran into a bit of car trouble last night and ended up staying here in LA instead. While I was very bummed that I missed the show, David went out of his way to cheer me up and make me feel better. And, boy, am I ready to say Goodbye to 2010.

For the most part, 2010 was a pretty OK year … there were a lot of good times and many bad times … but any year that you can enjoy from beginning to end is a good one in my book. As always, I’m thankful that I got to spend another year with David. We are going on 5 years together and we have never been better. I’m really looking forward to what 2011 has in store for us as a couple. I’m thankful that I got to spend time with my family & friends here in LA and back home in Detroit and I’m looking forward to more happy times ahead. I’m thankful that I got to spend another year writing this blog and I’m ready to make it bigger and better in the year to come. To be honest tho, I’m just ready to turn the page and jump feet first into a hopeful new year. I hope 2010 was a good one for you and that 2011 will be the BEST YEAR ever!

I’m ready to leave 2010 behind for sure! I did some great things that I’m really proud of, but there were some devastating deaths in my family and of really close friends..On the other hand, there were also some beautiful new lives started so I’m definately thankful for that! And I’m truly thankful to have gotten the chance to be SO CLOSE to David Beckham on my birthday!! ;)
Thank you Trent for always entertaining me and my fellow readers with this blog. I wish you and David nothing but crazy happiness and continued success in the new year!
Well said Kendra!
I’m glad to see the last of 2010 too. It was the first year without my Dad, so we passed the first milestone year…his birthday, Father’s Day, my parent’s wedding anniversary. But another of our daughters was married to a fabulous bloke, which was great. And we celebrated the birth of our fourth grandchild…who incidently was born on the anniversary of the day we buried my Dad. We’re all certain this is a good omen as he loved all of the grandkids and would be proud that his name was included in the new baby’s name. My 11yo daughter had a great year with her school and dancing, winning a few prestigious awards and trophies along the way. On a personal level, I achieved none of the goals I had set myself. But hey, that’s what new years are for right? To set new goals and begin with new hope.
Thanks Trent for a great read all year…it’s my one constant in an ever changing life. Hope you and David have a happy and healthy 2011. Perhaps a trip down under is in your new year’s plans? lol
Thank Trent and David.I had fun with your blog in 2010 and some times with Queerty but 2011 is a new year and a new beginning.TRy to keep it sober LOL.
