Great news, Dexter fans!! The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Showtime is ready to announce that they will renew the series for another season!! It’s almost definitely certain that Dexter and the gang will be back for a sixth season next year!!
This won’t surprise anybody: Showtime is getting ready to announce a renewal for Dexter. The show just had its second highest ratings ever on Sunday night, delivering 2.5 million viewers, up 43% from the fifth season premiere. That almost certainly means the upcoming finale on Dec. 12 is going to set a new viewership record. In 2008, Showtime confidently renewed Dexter for two seasons. That’s not likely to happen this time, since key talent deals will need to be renegotiated before the show’s seventh season. Expect the offical Dexter renewal within the next week or so.

Now this is GREAT news. I love Dexter and I am really loving Lumen! I feel Dexter has finally met his mate. Was’nt that last episode craziness!
Yay!! I am loving this season too! Was worried they wouldn’t be able to follow up after last season. The first ep was a little slow, but its been great since then and I really like the Lumen character too! I actually read the books the series was based off of, and I think the TV show is so much better, which is uncommon. Love Dexter!

wow shouldnt they have decided this before they finished wrapping season 5 just in case? yikes! but YAY!! This season has been good. Not as good as 2nd and 1st but good!
wow… it’s amazing how this show it’s getting better with time… that’s not usual on american tv… bravo for Dexter and all the fantastic job that the whole crew is doing to do a quality show
I’m so excited! I love this season, even though I think Julia Stiles is a horrible actress..
I love Dexter! He is truely a dynamic character. He has evloved so much. I feel like he has been very sloppy this season but that kind of makes it more thrilling. Not sure whats going to happen to Lumen. His gf’s tend to have a short shelf life. We’ll see. Yaaaaaay!
