At long last … Hollywood, CA is finally, actually, most assuredly getting a Chick-Fil-A restaurant … after many years of rumor and conjecture. As you may recall, Ryan Seacrest spilled the beans on this Hollywood Chick-Fil-A back in August … and while I was happy to hear the news, I wasn’t going to start counting my chicks before they hatched. BUT, it would appear, that plans for the Hollywood Chick-Fil-A are actually a go and it is scheduled to open in Summer 2011:

It’s confirmed (now that we’re in the year 2010 and Facebook is a credible journalistic source): fast food chain Chick-fil-A (@CFAhollywood) will open a franchise in Hollywood in summer 2011. Though Chick-fil-A has eateries all over the rest of the country, this will be only the second franchise in Los Angeles proper. (The first is located near USC at 3758 S. Figueroa Street.) Hot rumor of the day: The Hollywood Chick-fil-A will be located at the southeast corner of Highland Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, where Del Taco once stood.
The eatery already has an official Facebook profile HERE. While I am exceedingly happy to hear this latest development, I will not really get happy until I see construction commence on the hallowed ground … or until the Chick-Fil-A sign goes up. Still … I am very encouraged by this happy news ;D

Congrats Trent! I know how much I love the Chick fil a, and just how far one must travel to get there.
Hmm. I have been very excited to try the Chick, my southern friends have been raving about them for years! However…the location is pretty sketchy. At the Del Taco that used to be there, I once saw a squealing drag queen beat a cockroach on the wall with her purse. Hopefully Chick-Fil-A will have better sanitation!
I am so jealous! I live in Seattle and the nearest one (and only one in the entire state of Washington) is two hours away on a college campus! I always go to Chick-fil-A when I head back home to Cleveland but its not enough.
As a girl who was lucky enough to grow up with Chick-Fil-A, I have no idea how one can go through life without it. Congrats to you and all the artery-clogging goodness to come!
@Morgan — I went to college at OU in Norman, OK and I SO took Chick-Fil-A for granted. I vow to never do so again once I get a store in my own city again :D
I am really pissed that they keep opening these freaking Chick Fil A restaurants everywhere in California EXCEPT the Bay Area!!!! There are two or three of them in the Sac area, apparently 8 million of them in the L.A. area, and exactly ZERO of them in the Bay Area. WHY!!??
Why’s everyone so lovin’ on the Chick-Fil-A? It’s a heavily conservative company that has associations with many right wing groups including our good anti-choice, anti-gay, anti-sex ed friends at Focus on the Family. I mean, everyone (corporations included) has the right to associate with whom or what they want, but still. They do make a mean-arse waffle fry, though.
@Mango — If we keep spending our gay money there, we will make them gay … duh!
jelaous. I’m in NYC and the only one we have is a half ass one in the NYU cafeteria. I always feel like a crack head sitting with 19 y/o kids to get my fix.
I’m still plotting and scheming as to how to sneak on to the NYU campus. I’m a Texas gal who misses Chick-Fil-A, don’t judge me ;)))
@Mango – swear to god – the food’s sooooo good it makes you forget the conservativeness!! mmmm I’m cravin some now!
I still can’t believe that I live in Oxnard and we have one. I’ve had one in every city I’ve lived in except Washington DC.
My favorite! I am a polynesian sauce princess, and I bow to the home of the Trans-Chick-ual Cow!!!
@Lydia – aww! 2 hours!? I will never complain about my 35 min trip again!
