Britney Spears: Comic Book Hero
It's about damn time!

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has one, Betty White has one … even the entire cast of Glee has one — now Britney Spears has one, too! Our dear Britney will be featured in her very own comic book from Bluewater Productions in March (the very same month her new album will be released). Here is our first look at Britney‘s soon-to-be-released comic book:

Oops!…Bluewater Productions Did It Again — with another comic book about a famous pop star, “Fame: Britney Spears.” The solicitation copy for the comic, which hits stands in March, describes the story as follows:

“Britney Spears — the most famous superstar of the 21st century. What does it take to reach those heights in the Internet Age? What are the hidden costs when every move makes the headlines? More than an entertainment powerhouse. More than a dancer and musician. Britney Spears is a survivor!”

Will the comic, written by CW Cooke and pencilled by Ricardo Jaime, cover Britney’s days in the Mickey Mouse Club? The infamous head-shaving incident? Her triumphant comeback?

This is fantastic! I know I’ll be buying at least 5 copies. My guess is that, yes, the comic book will cover Britney‘s stellar career but will gloss over (or leave out entirely) the more stickier parts of her life story. To be honest, I could care less if they leave all the bad stuff in or not … I MUST own the Britney Spears comic book. Woot!! How awesome is this?! How many copies will YOU be buying when Fame: Britney Spears is released next year?

  2. Mr. Gyllenhaal says:

OMG…I love it!! Too bad you can’t buy one now. I know a few people would love this for Xmas!! Oh well, I can wait:)

am i the only one who finds the drawing on the cover a little creepy? lol
    it does her no justice

  4. CHASE says:

Queen of Pop, the worlds youngest living legend, doesn’t like womanizuhhhs, better than you, gorgeous, stunning, innovator, classy, if you disagree you’re most likely pressed, the Marilyn Monroe of our generation, shatters records, etc.

  5. Louigi says:

    Well-said @CHASE!

I find these things disgusting. This is obviously unauthorized. I hate it when companies use Britney’s name and image to sell their own products. I wouldn’t touch this with a ten foot pole!

  7. Ama says:

In all honesty, this artwork is not very flattering for her image, I think they should have gotten a different artist to draw her, or at least do it in a different art style. The back is fine, the front picture though, is not very pleasing to the eye.

  8. Kim says:

Wow that is a horrifying drawing of her! What’s with all the marks on her face and what looks like super wrinkly armpit?

  9. Alys says:

I absolutely hate that picture of her on the front cover. It’s unflattering to the extreme — her face and the icky shadows under her armpit just looks so wrong to me! :( Someone as pretty as she is deserves a more talented artist.

  10. Missy says:

The front picture looks like a drag queen…an aging one at that.

Hey, I agree with you Chase, Britney Spears is the Marilyn Monroe of this generation. I would just love to see her get into movies big time, then she truly would be a HUGE STAR. If only others in powerful places can see this. I believe she has it in her. Yea, she went through some difficult times but who is PERFECT?

  12. harley says:

On another note. . . I just can’t believe they have some god awful pictures of Britney cause she is SO BEAUTIFUL. HELLO? If I was her PR man I’d make sure that THAT would never happen. That would be the first step. Anyone can have bad pictures taken of them I don’t care how beautiful or handsome you are. Hope that changes for you Britany in the New Year. God bless you.

  13. harley says:

Now for the last note. . The comic book is bad timing. I’d put that on hold til she was a major movie star.
