Tony Parker Files For Divorce From Eva Longoria
What's good for the goose ...

On Wednesday Eva Longoria filed for divorce from her husband Tony Parker here in LA after 3 years of marriage. Yesterday, Tony Parker filed divorce papers of his own but in Texas rather than California. While Eva cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for divorce in her paperwork, Tony is claiming a “discord or conflict of personalities” in his divorce papers. Whatever the case may be, the couple are Double Dunzo, y’all!

Now it’s Tony Parker’s turn. After wife Eva Longoria filed divorce papers in Los Angeles, the NBA star did the same in a Texas court, reports E!. Parker’s divorce petition cites the standard legal cause of “discord or conflict of personalities,” according to TMZ. The dueling divorce filings come amid reports Parker, 28, who plays for the San Antonio Spurs, cheated on the 35-year-old Desperate Housewives star. Longoria alleges Parker exchanged hundreds of emails with Erin Barry, the wife of a former teammate.

I’m not entirely sure why Tony feels the need to file divorce papers of his own. I understand there is a prenuptial agreement in place and that Eva is going after spousal support. Clearly Tony has been counseled by his attorneys to file divorce papers of his own in Texas as a means for him to try and get the better end of the deal. You may recall that we heard from Tony yesterday when he publicly commented on his split from EvaTony claims that he knew the divorce was coming but, still, he let her file first and then he decided to file for divorce afterward. Something tells me that this divorce will not be as amicable as I previously thought … my guess is that he said / she said biz is just getting started.

Why would she need spousal support? I don’t get that. If people don’t marry for money, don’t divorce for money. She obviously doesn’t need it. If that’s true, I totally disrespect her for that.

Watching celeb couples crash and burn is such schadenfreude.
More proof that money doesn’t buy happiness!

Apperantly in Texas you can divorce in only 60 days and in LA it takes much longer to spilt offically. So maybe (what I’m hoping) that’s the reason that he filled in Texas and let her file in LA because she has the ‘right’ (because of the reason of the divorce).
I’m really hoping that’s the reason and that this isn’t going to be a nasty split… That would be so horrible for the both of them..
The only thing I’n not really getting is that she says she needs spousal support?? Why?? She still is making money on her own…. This may indicate that it indeed may be a interesting divorce… too bad

    Eesh…this divorce could get messy.

@KellyK My impression of going her going for spousal support is revenge. That is if Tony really did cheat on Eva.

  7. Audrey says:

Like everyone else, I don’t understand her need for spousal support. If it/s because he just signed a multi-million dollar deal with the Spurs, then she was a gold digger in addition to being a media whore. No bueno, Ms. Longoria. I love that girl, but, ew..

  8. LISA L says:

No, it’s probably all for revenge and fairness. Her hubby cheated on her, she gets some of his money… prob already written in the pre-nup. She’s not a golddigger because she didnt go to him looking for money… she is jsut taking what is hers. That is what he gets for cheating on her. I hope this doesnt get messy… I love these two so much. Sadness.

Another couple in crazywood I’m sorry to see didn’t work out. I wish them both the best. I always thought he wasn’t ready for marriage. He was just too young.

  10. Jen says:

I am with @Lisa L, he is a jerk and I would do the same thing. It’s probably not about the money, it’s the principle.

  11. Jbo says:

Kinda always felt he “wasn’t that into her”. She seems clingy and desperate…
