Earlier this month Glee actress Jane Lynch spilled the beans that her character Sue Sylvester would be gettin’ hitched on the extremely popular FOX TV series. Last night, we got to see Sue Sylvester get married to … Sue Sylvester:

I had erroneously guessed that Sue would walk down the aisle in a white track suit wedding dress but she actually wore a blue one. Pink reader cmc correctly guessed that Sue would be marrying herself. Last night’s episode was pretty damn good but not because of Sue‘s wedding to herself but because of the other wedding that took place … that of Kurt‘s dad and Finn‘s mother. Finn‘s declaration and show of love for his new brother Kurt was so damn sweet, Glee damn near made me cry last night!
The ep ended with a bit of a surprise. In order to keep that ending unspoiled for those of you who have yet to watch the ep, you’ll have to go behind the cut to find out what happened and to watch a video preview of next week’s Glee performance of the Train song Hey, Soul Sister by actor Darren Criss (Blaine) and The Warblers …
Because Chris Colfer‘s character Kurt has been living in fear of constant bullying, he decided to transfer to Dalton Academy at the end of last night’s ep … that means that Kurt will be singing with The Warblers glee club, going up against his former New Directions glee club at sectionals. Dun. Dun. Duuuuuuuuuuun. Here is video of the Dalton Academy Warblers performing Hey, Soul Sister on next week’s ep of Glee:
I really enjoyed last night’s ep of Glee … all the heartfelt sweetness really made the show feel like the good ol’ days. It remains to be seen how long Kurt will stay at Dalton Academy (cuz you know he won’t be staying there for long) but his leaving is sure to have a big impact on SECTIONALS!!!
So … what do y’all think of Sue‘s marriage? What do you think of the Glee version of Hey, Soul Sister? What do you think of Kurt‘s decision to transfer schools/glee clubs? Discuss.

Thanks for posting the Soul Sister preview, Trent. The warblers are so awesome! Also, I love it when Rachel tells Kurt to smile, because OF COURSE she is a stage mom-in-training.
The latest episode was good, although to be honest I didn’t really understand WHY Sue was marrying herself… :) She’s truly nuts. The bullying storyline is an important one, even if they aren’t handling it perfectly (NO ONE saw or reported Karofsky???). I liked the episode, even though I was hoping for the Billy Joel “Just the Way You Are.”
I was extremely upset with this episode. Here’s why: There was barely any music. I get that there has to be some plot line buildups and tie-ins, but the essence of the show is their music. There was barely three or four songs worth of music. However, I was impressed with the message and themes of the episode. It was heartwarming to see Finn understand it better, and it was nice to not see Kurt being so freaking rude to people. Anyways, the show is supposed to feature music, and well, it let me down when there wasn’t really any. Yet, it was one of the more powerful episodes as far as messages go. Had me tear up more than once. :-)
I was so afraid of Sue as Principal totally dismissing the whole Kurt being bullied thing but I’m really happy that they played it out the way they did. Bullying is a serious problem and I hope Glee continues to showcase that in efforts to minimize it.
I also agree with @AmandaMarie – not enough music!! I’m loving the number for next week though!
Though I didn’t like Sue calling Kurt “Lady,” I was really happy she was so much on his side in this episode. I totally get why he transferred – and is it bad that I really actually want the Warblers to win sectionals rather than our lovable bunch of misfits in New Directions?
I’m a bit iffy on this episode. While I absolutely *loved* the main Kurt storyline and the parent’s wedding, I felt too much happened in the episode to really enjoy it.
The wedding was overshadowed by Kurt, and might have benefited from having the episodes split in two? I don’t know. It just seemed like time passed too quickly to start with an engagement and end with a full-on perfect wedding/reception. I also thought so much emphasis went to Kurt during the wedding. The wedding vows were great, but there was so much focus on Kurt when it should have been on the couple… Even Finn’s speech was Kurt-heavy!
The other thing I disliked was the Sue wedding – mainly because it seemed silly and didn’t make use of the guest appearance like I’d have liked. Other than that, I really applaud her character for standing up for Kurt and protecting her students.
@amanda marie… you’re right there.. the first song was 23 minutes in and it was that sucky… why did i leave ohio thing. barf. (ftr, i was born in ohio, i’m allowed to have that opinion.)
Hmmm I wonder why Kurt is acting all weird in that clip? I guess we’ll have to see what happens when he transfers…also love how Rachel is giving him tips to smile! :)
Totally late on this convo but…woot woot! I got a Trent mention! Love this blog :)
@cmc — As soon as Sue walked out in her dress I knew you were right! :)
I think bullying is a serious issue especially at school. I’m glad in this episode because it reminds us that we can be a victim, even the stick-in-the-mud Sue, if we have no way/means to stop it. :D Do I really hope Kurt can fight back Karofsky (even without punching his face) in the future episodes.
i loved this ep! i did notice that there weren’t enough songs, but i think there was a lot of plot in it that made up for that fact though. hopefully all this kurt-ness overkill will die down after next week’s episode…he did win an emmy, right?…so they’re trying to capitalize on his talent! has anyone else noticed how odd it was that the past few episodes have been centered around bullying, and yet, there was no guidance counselor in the picture?…because of course there was no story line going on between her and mr. shue at the time..i think that was kind of a plot line flaw..
Is it just me, or did Puck seem super disturbed in that Warblers clip? Forget Sam&Kurt, I think endgame will be Kurt & Puck!
