Yesterday I posted a newslink about a rumored coffee date in Brooklyn, NY shared by Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift … a date that I tried not to think about too much despite all the reported details of the encounter. THEN … ugh … then, a new photo made its way to Twitter that showed Jake and Taylor on another coffee date, this time in Nashville, TN! Blah … not only are Jake and Taylor happily grabbing coffee together but they are doing so IN DIFFERENT STATES! UGH! Here is the offending photo and the new deets of this new coffee date:
Two days after enjoying maple lattes together in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Thanksgiving, Swift and Gyllenhaal popped up in the singer’s hometown of Nashville. On Saturday afternoon, the couple were spotted getting a late breakfast at Fido, a coffeehouse and café near Vanderbilt University and Music Row. “They were smiling and laughing. They were talking a lot and enjoying each other’s company,” fellow diner Elaina Mishu tells PEOPLE. “They didn’t look like [just] friends.” Customer Emma Rice, who snapped a photo of the pair, calls the duo “very cute” and says, “They seemed close.”
What.The.Effing.EFF?!?!? You may recall that we first saw Jake and Taylor together last month when they went apple picking together in NY with friends. Now they’ve moved on to coffee dates? FML! I’m hearing reports that the couple, who refuse to talk about this new “relationship” in interviews, are not at all shy about hiding their affection for one another when they are out together in public. I can’t even … I just don’t get it. I mean, I totally get what she sees in him … but really Jake? Are you kidding me here? OY! I’m not sure how much more of this my frail little heart (and stomach) can take.

He always has fair insight on things not to mention he is entitled to his opinion… which I have to admit I agree with a good 99% of the time…And I agree with him on the Jake and Taylor coupling…it is just NOT RIGHT!!!! It makes Jake seem soooo desparate.
I don’t know, this is just such a weird pairing. The age difference doesn’t even matter to me, there just seems to be an ocean between them in terms of maturity. Taylor seems like a nice enough girl but for those of you who say she only writes about unicorns and butterflies for her fanbase, what do you say about her writing blatant songs about every guy she’s had some kind of relationship with? I dunno, I get that it’s her prerogative as an artist to write about what she knows, but obviously calling out your ex or some guy you had some random fling with in her music just says a lot to me about her maturity when it comes to relationships.
people need to grow up and be happy for 2 people who are hanging out. maybe if you invested a little more time with LOVING people…instead of two people who don’t deserve this hatred.

I don’t see anything strange with their relationship if Taylor stops acting like she’s still a teenager. My friend started dating a 30-year old when she was about a same age as Taylor and three years later they are still together and just bought a house. But Taylor + Jake, over by Christmas I’m guessing. And then Taylor can write a song about all this.
I don’t get the “hate” for this. It’s obvious he’s just going polar opposite. Reese was older, divorced, mom & Taylor is young, and beyond the bad “woe is me he done me wrong songs” is naive it seems. It won’t last… he’ll get it right the next time.

@SuzieB — “In this day & age seriously why wouldn’t he just come out or it actually come out??” It is still not at all easy to just “come out”. First, coming out is a very personal issue. Second, actors STILL lose work if they come out as gay. We’ve come a long way but not nearly far enough.

Why the hate on Taylor Swift? I really couldn’t tell ya the exact reason, but perhaps people feel the same was as I do. She just…bothers me! Something about her personality, or the way she acts, etc… I really can’t pinpoint it, but she annoys me for some reason. So yeah, maybe we’re being mean, but sometimes you just can’t explain why you are revolted by someone, or something, as in this whole “relationship” right here. :)
