Over the weekend Oprah Winfrey made her way to SoCal to pay an in-house visit with the Jackson family for a taped interview set to air on an upcoming episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Oprah chilled with the Jacksons on Saturday and TMZ managed to get their hands on photos snapped of the Big O‘s visit inside the home:
Oprah Winfrey’s production team moved into Katherine Jackson’s Encino, California, home Saturday to tape an interview with Michael Jackson’s mother, a source inside the home said. Winfrey was in the Jackson home to conduct the interview Saturday afternoon, according the source, who asked not to be identified because he was not authorized to speak to the media. Katherine Jackson has not given any interviews since her son’s death last year except for a paid interview for a documentary. Winfrey’s production company did not immediately respond to a CNN request for comment.
As you can see, Oprah met with matriarch Katherine Jackson and her estranged husband Joe Jackson … which seems odd to me considering that the couple have been separated for years and reportedly made the decision to divorce. You can also see that Katherine was pimpin’ out the book that she is selling in memory of her late son Michael Jackson. If memory serves, the Jacksons are also selling a limited edition line of commemorative belts in memory of the late MJ and I’ll bet those belts will show up in the Oprah interview as well. Because this is the first interview that Katherine has given since the interview she gave to The Daily Mirror back in June, I’m certain many will tune in to watch this ep of The Oprah Winfrey Show. Katherine is so cool and calm and has been silent for YEARS about the kids and the marriage, so the book thing I think will be something to get. I don’t see it as pimpin’ but it sucks that her last name being jackson it gets stuck to her. she has been the stronghold of that family no matter what people think of them. because we all damn well it won’t Joe’s ugly ass
I think the interview was a good! That it shows how the investigation into Michaels death went and how the Doctor will probably get away with it because it all goes beyond just the Doctor. Michael was not meant to go on that tour and they made sure of it. There are too many people like Michael who mysteriously die under strange circumstances and it is all hidden by someone higher up. It happens everyday and no one notices. I would want nothing more than to talk to someone in Michaels family about my own thoughts on it all. I personally know of someone going thru the same scenerio, somewhat, and he is constantly followed, illegally serveilanced, and even get some of the people you may know to go against you and work on their end for whatever reason they may say, even if it is not true. Your everymove is watched and you have fears of playing anywhere, eating anywhere, or even just visiting friends, for one day that very friend may be taking info for them against you whether the reasinging is true or not.
Michael was a good father, brother,son, and uncle and he truly cared.
Every body can say whatever they want, but let me tell u guys something! Oprah just wants to make herself look so good that she cares about Jacksons kids when she truly doesnt! All she cares about is herself and wanting to get and remain famous before she leaves the public eye! The rich get richer and the poor stay poorer! I agree with Randy she is tOOOOOOOO NOSEY and should get a life! Go and interview Stedmon!
