How’s this for a surprisingly strange coupling … comedienne and late night talk show host Chelsea Handler and Curtis James Jackson III, better known to the world as 50 Cent, were spotted lookin’ all couplely over the weekend at a jazz club in New Orleans, LA. Because of the intimate nature of the photo, new speculation is that Chelsea and 50 are a hot new item:
Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent have fueled rumours that the couple are dating after a picture surfaced of the two of them looking cosy together in a bar in New Orleans. The two were spotted at the Blue Nile Jazz Bar on Sunday night … and according to the U.S. website [TMZ], 50 and Handler were getting ‘very hot and heavy’. 50 was at the jazz club to perform, doing a freestyle rap set, but it is not known what, other than keeping him company, Handler was doing there … According to another U.S. site, Eonline the relationship isn’t so much about love as it is lust. ‘It’s more of a hookup thing – whenever they are in the same town,’ a source explains to E! Going on to dish: ‘They haven’t hooked up, but she’s open to it.’ Handler, meantime, is staying mum on the subject, promising however to address the rumours on her talk show.
I mean, HMMMMM … I’m not quite sure what to think about this. To be honest, 50 Cent doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy that Chelsea would go for … unless we are talking about a lust sorta thing. As you may know, 50 Cent has invited controversy recently with his string of offensive and homophobic messages on Twitter. He just doesn’t strike me as the kind of man that an intelligent woman would go for … especially when you consider her strong stance on the advocacy of gay rights. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what will come from this odd pairing. IMHO, Chelsea could do much better.

Huge Chelsea Handler fan, I have all her books and I am currently reading Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang. So just reading this post is getting me excited for a possible “My Horizontal Life” part 2 which will include a chapter on 50 cent. LOL I totally get this if it is a “hook up” but for a relationship, I agree she can do better.
Seems like a PR stunt…if it’s not it lowers my opinion of her for hooking up w/a douche like him.
The photo doesn’t look that “intimate” to me. It looks like they are in a loud bar, so she has to talk loudly into his ear, and she is pointing at herself, saying, “I’m Chelsea Handler – I have a tv show and I like the hip hop.”
@Tricia — I should clarify, I meant “intimate” in that they were face to face at a table by themselves … not “intimate intimate” as in knockin’ boots.
She does love black guys according to her book :)
@BriK — His skin color aside, I’d think it would be his personality that would be the turn off especially since she considers herself an advocate for gay rights.
50 is just the guy she would go for lol. but to me its just a PR stunt…he’s tryin to get back out there, and shes hot right now…its win win for both of them.

I could have SWORN I just heard she was dating Dave Salmoni (sp??) from the Discovery channel “Into the Pride”……which I can picture MUCH more than this….
Just a fyi 50 cent’s comment was taken out of context. He had previously been tweeting about oral sex and how you should want to give as well as receive which is where his comment came from ie if you don’t want to give it then you should kill yourself…had nothing to do with being gay whatsoever :)

I am by no means a 50 Cent fan. But his comment had nothing to do with being gay. Obviously he doesn’t hold a thing back…unfortunately.

he didn’t tell gays to die- he meant those that don’t want to give oral sex should die. it was a joke about giving in appreciation of getting. furthermore, do you really think he *meant* it? come on, guys.
look, i’m all for gay rights- but sometimes you gotta just step back and ask yourself if this is really about homosexuality or if it was a JOKE on someone’s twitter account about oral sex. joking about oral sex is maybe not the most tasteful thing in the world- but i don’t think the whole world has to get THAT PC about tasteless jokes they make up off the cuff.
…and by “that PC” i mean making sure you change all your wording around to include everyone every time you say something. i highly doubt he was even thinking “hey, there’s a whole group of people who don’t do cunnilingus, not bc they’re selfish, but because they’re gay” – 50 cent isn’t gay; maybe he doesn’t hang out with gay people all the time, it probably just wasn’t in the front of his mind.
