It’s been a little over a week now since we first heard that Christina Aguilera has split from her husband Jordan Bratman and it is exactly one week since she officially filed for divorce. Today, for the first time, we are hearing from Xtina herself about the split in a new interview that she gave to Redbook magazine:
The day after news of her separation from husband Jordan Bratman broke last week, Christina Aguilera, who will appear on the December cover of REDBOOK, spoke exclusively to the magazine about how she was coping with the split. “It’s not easy, and there have been a lot of tears and sadness,” she said. “It’s impossible to redefine yourself and your life overnight. Thankfully, I have my mom and a small group of close friends who are there for me 24/7 and whom I can trust and depend on. On days when it feels impossible to even get out of bed, much less function as a mother, their support and encouragement have kept me moving forward.” When asked about the details, rumors (of infidelity on both sides), and whether she and Jordan, whom she married in November 2005, had tried couples therapy to resolve their issues, Christina answered, “Out of respect for my husband, I prefer to keep the specifics private. Right now, I’m just trying to figure out how to make it through each day. Her focus during this rough, emotional time, she said, was her son, who turns three in January. “Thankfully, I have Max to keep me on a sane path. His needs and happiness are my top priorities, and my biggest concern is to protect him and make him feel safe.”
Now, you may recall that Xtina issued a public statement about the split early last week but that came from her publicist, these are Xtina‘s words on the matter. The December issue of Redbook magazine will feature Xtina on the cover and will go in more depth about her take on why her marriage fell apart. I wonder how long, if ever, it’ll take for us to hear from Jordy. My guess is that Xtina will run the show even as the couple’s divorce becomes final. Her side of the story may be the only one we get to hear for a very long time.

I guess the logic is that Jordy isn’t celebrity enough. He’s never run around doing interviews before, so while this is more routine to get her and put her on a cover, its a bolder move to have him do it and therefore I’d imaigne he’s more hesitant to take things to that level. I do find it interesting that she doesn’t deny the idea of infidelities and just says that out of respect she’d keep it private. That’s a generic response one could give to any question about a divorce but still, she talks about other aspects so to revert to privacy on that I say is a but suspicious, unfortunately. . . .
Jordan never used his wife celebrity to get attention or money for himself..He was just a normal Guy with a celebrity wife.

Something fishy is going on here and it isn’t a tuna sandwich, either! I believe she cheated on him or something else like that… I mean, I don’t get it! I think it’s totally her fault and she’s very self-centered, etc. Srsly, bro.

I am hearing from someone who has known her a long time, he hit her and it was the final straw of there struggeling marriage. Thats what I heard. Her team is denying it because, Christina doesn’t want the image of “battered wife”, she comes off as a tough cookie
Wow….now all of a sudden Jordy is abusive and she’s a cheater? Relax people! I personally hope that they can work this out and maybe that’s why she’s not saying much.
Well, if people knew he hit her, they would feel just as about her father- so everybody would be on her side. And if he really hit her the best thing to do was to leave him. She doesnt want the same life as her mother had.
But seriously, these are all speculations yet.
