Yesterday turned out to be a totally lazy day for me … I spent much of the day playing video games on my Nintendo DS and not doing pretty much anything else. I did venture out of the house last night to sate my hunger for a plate of Aussie Cheese Fries from Outback:

After my breathing became labored and my arteries had sufficiently hardened, it was time to get back home. David and I received some very sad news of a death in a friend’s family so David booked a flight back East to attend the funeral which will be held tomorrow. I dropped him off at the airport this morning. Since I’ll be flying solo for a couple of days I can get some things taken care of … hopefully I’ll find our Hallowe’en costumes today or tomorrow. The weather heated up considerably here in SoCal, much to my glee. Happy Sunday, y’all.

Lol, I love that the “aussie” cheese fries are something we’d definatly call American down in Australia. Firstly, fries are “chips” here, next, cheese on fries is pretty rare – we’re all about the tomato sauce (not ketchup), or gravy or aioli.
Lazy days are great! Its raining down here, so lots of lazy days.
I love your blog so much!! I check it almost everyday (for a few years now!) for my fix of gossip <3. I'm always in the know whether it be the guest stars on glee, or the goss on the new movies :)
Damnit, every time you post the aussie fries, I want their awesome blossom!
Trent, sorry to hear about your friend. Hope you guys are hanging in there!
@Fi – I still cannot comprehend how this are in any way, shape or form “Aussie” – like you said, put some tomato sauce/gravy/aiolo/chicken salt on it, call it ‘chips’ not ‘fries’, and THEN it can be Aussie. Whenever I finally make it to the US, i’m totally going to go to this steakhouse and tell them to stop mispresenting us!
@mimi some american friends took me to an outback steakhouse when I was on holiday there a few years ago, and when I looked up and down the menu and shook my head and said that this isn’t Aussie food, they laughed, and called the waitress over. I told her the same thing and said she eye rolled and said “yeah…sure”. Tasty but cliche aussie
Those look awesome! I want poutine now. mmmm…..poutine….
