Rooney Mara Makes Herself At Home In Stockholm, Sweden
The Girl with the Knit Cap

On Sunday we got our first look at Rooney Mara on the Stockholm set of the US version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and today we get to see new photos of Rooney on the streets of Stockholm trying to draw as little attention to herself as possible. Rooney and a male friend were spotted doing a bit of shopping yesterday … behold:

As you can see, Rooney is wearing this knit cap in order to keep her edgy new haircut under wraps … but we already got to see what her new Dragon Tattoo ‘do looks like so the hat really isn’t necessary. It seems pretty clear that she’s none-too-happy that she has been found and is being photographed in Stockholm but considering how big a deal the US version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is, well, she better get used to the attention. I know that many people are angry that a US version of the film is being made but I’m all for it. Not only do I trust that director David Fincher will make a fantastic film but US films will do NOTHING to take away from the fantastic original Swedish films. I’ve seen all 3 Swedish films and I love them entirely … no new film can take that away. But I am curious to see how the stories can be retold with new actors. I’m really looking forward to the release of the US films … and I’m really anxious to see more from the Swedish set of Dragon Tattoo.

Let’s just hope she doesn’t complain when she becomes uber famous like SOME people…

Let’s also hope that journalists ask her about more than said sudden uber-fame…..like some people

  3. Hahaha it looks like she went through Samantha Ronson’s closet and borrowed some clothes!

Not another K. Stew! Why bother being in show biz when you hate being photogged?

@Tiffany — I don’t think this is a matter of Rooney turning into K. Stew, I think she was hoping to lie low for as long as possible while she films The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
