On Saturday we got to see a couple photos of Mariah Carey making her grand arrival in Singapore this weekend ahead of her performance at the LG Live at 2010 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix and today we get to see some photos and video from that performance. As I understand it, Mimi put on a pretty good show … but it was not without it’s problems. Most notably, Mariah took a bit of a tumble during her performance of Make It Happen … but in fine Mimi fashion, she owned the moment and mad it her own:
It’s the moment every singer dreads – falling over while performing on stage. Mariah Carey experienced just that during a concert in Singapore on Saturday. The 40-year-old diva took a tumble as she belted out her song Make It Happen at a Formula 1 event. She ended up sitting on the stage before being helped up by one of her backing dancers. As she was hoisted to her feet, Carey quickly joked: ‘I meant to do that.’ But the Dreamlover singer was taking no chances and luckily an assistant was on hand to remove the vertiginous heels that no doubt contributed to her fall. The female assistant removed her shoes as Carey continued to sing, before finishing the 90-minute performance barefoot. The singer later tweeted: ‘TY SO much to my fans in Singapore!!! Yeah, several hectic moments, (lol!)but I tried to swirl them into festive!.Love+ God Bless!’
Aww … poor Mimi. But, if you’re gonna fall on your bum in front of a sold out crowd of people, you might as well have as much fun doing so as possible. I think what is most important is how little consequence it was that Mariah even fell in the first place … considering all the rumors going on around her allegedly pregnancy, it seems pretty telling that she is not (yet) pregs since her fall raised no eyebrows at all. Additionally, Mimi was seen drinking champagne while on stage … another sign that she’s prolly not pregs:
A few Pink readers have suggested that Mimi‘s weight gain may likely be due to fertility treatments that she may be undergoing … so … it looks like she’s not quite pregs just yet.

To me, this looks less like a fall and more like a lying down … I’m just glad she’s OK. Do your thang, Mariah. You keep doing the damn thang.

It could be colored water in a champagne glass to throw people off her business. Or as speculated, she could just be gaining tons of weight due to fertility treatments. Men have it so easy! ;-)

IDK I feel like the pure fact that Mimi took her shoes off is a sign that she might be preggo, because we all know she loooooooooves her heels. I also have a feeling Mariah drinks everything out of a champagne glass.

I agree about the treatments. She looks puffy and not just like she’s been overeating. Alhough, being preggo makes your feet swell quite a bit. Hence taking the heels off!

im sticking with the fertility treament idea…it doesnt look like weight gain from over eating..it looks more of a bloating gain.
Um, she’s totally pregnant. Mariah is such a diva and is all about her looks and if she wasn’t pregnant then she would not dare to look like that in the press.
Def. not preg. You can tell in the second pic of her falling there is no bump there, just a fat roll. And yes, she is all about her looks, except she has no qualms about wearing extremely unflattering outfits when she puts on a few. That has been apparent for a while now, so I doubt this is any different.
I would put on whole lot of money on her being pregnant. :D
She wasn’t driking champagne. She specifically stated that it was WATER in her champagne glass as she was drinking it.
There is a good part of pregnancy where you just look (and feel) sort of fat. You don’t get the noticeable, shapely bump until you’re quite far along. Also, it appears as though her bosoms have expanded at a greater rate than they would have if she just put on some extra pounds :)
i don’t think she is pregs. i was there at the concert and she didn’t have a baby bump at all. puffy and bloated (especially her face), but NO bump. and yes she mentioned it was water in her champagne glass and wanted to offer it to her fans but said that ‘she was here and they were there’, LOL. anyway she totally rocked the stage!
