Lindsay Lohan Has Been Sent Back To Jail
Do not pass Go, Do not collect $200

Judge Elden Fox has denied bail to Lindsay Lohan and has just ordered her immediate incarceration.

UPDATE: Despite reports suggesting otherwise, Jude Elden Fox decided to actually punish Lindsay Lohan for failing 2 court-ordered drug tests while out on probation from substance abuse charges dating back to 2007. Despite the fact that her latest infractions are misdemeanors, Judge Fox decided to DENY Lindsay bail and has sent her off to jail TODAY. Here are a couple photos of Lindsay making her arrival at court just about an hour ago, very likely completely unaware that she would be going to jail:

The full deets from today’s hearing are not yet totally available because there were no cameras and no cellphones allowed in the courtroom … but we do know that Judge Fox decided to take the hard approach of sending Lindsay back to jail rather than rehab and without any chance of getting out early. Because her bail has been denied, she cannot pay her way out of jail … nor can she be released early due to jail overcrowding. Because Judge Fox set her next court appearance for October 22, Lindsay Lohan will be forced to remain in jail for the next 30 days until she is brought back to court for her next hearing. At last, someone is seriously making her pay for her crimes … can you believe?

… stay tuned for further updates

    i think this is the best thing that could have happened to her. i hope this is a MAJOR wake up call for her. i mean, you kind of, sort of, have to feel bad for her. yes shes an adult and knows what she’s doing but if all was good in her life, she wouldnt be doing these things. lets truly hope she makes a full recovery and a comeback. we have to root for her guys… too many young people going to jail and/or dying and wasting their talent. i really hope she decides to make a full turn around and gets better!

    Wow! Alll I can say is finally…. This girl has been given chance after chance after chance and STILL she keeps messing up. Hopefully she learns this time around. Its a pity since she was actually a good actress once upon a time.

    A good actress? When and where? Mean Girls? That’s acting?
    Fashion designer? I’m pretty sure there is a little fashion house that may have a thing or two to say about that!
    That whole.. hollyweird messed up tramp freckle hotness?
    She’s got that $@#* down!

    I think if Lindsay does actually clean up her act and proves that she can stay sober, she will eventually be offered better film roles than the ones she’s had as of late. I do think she’s a talented actress – and besides that, she’s gorgeous, but not in a typical, conventional way – she’s not a dime a dozen. She has charisma, stage presence, etc. I think she really has a lot going for her, or else I wouldn’t waste any time making this comment. Paris Hilton? I don’t have anything against her, but the only talent I think she has is posing for the cameras. Well, I guess that counts for something, since it’s helped make her a celebrity. But her star will fade eventually as she ages, whereas Lindsay could have a long, successful career ahead of her – IF she gets her act together.

    This is great news for her future sobriety, but I also hope that a message is being sent to everyday average young people. My main frustration is that some of the young people that I know think that her behavior is normal and excusable. It is important for people to see that you can’t get away with this nonsense forever.

  9. Suz says:

    Well she obviously deserves this.. I can’t believe she was actually allowed behind the wheel of a car after all she’s done.

    But I really do hope that when she gets out she’s forced into a rehab facility that really works this time. And then she should go away for awhile (or forever), out of the public eye.

  10. krissy says:

    Rehab isn’t always the answer. She has been there 3 or 4 times already. Forced rehab doesn’t work, the person has to want to be sober.

    This trip to jail will be her first without Adderall (it was allowed last time). I bet it is going to be a much harsher visit.

  11. Meredith says:

    @Krissy–I agree that people have to WANT to get better and “forced” rehab doesn’t work. However, UCLA (and I would think they would be a well respected facility) should NEVER have let her out after 20something days. That was just retarded.

  12. Tracy says:

    @DJoyful – “She has such natural-looking lips.”
    LMAO I just laughed for a good 5 minutes at that. Hilarious! I am so happy that bitch is in jail. Good riddance.

  13. sarah says:

    Forced rehab wont do anything if she herself wants coke. She has to want to be clean for rehab to ever work. Jail is better bc she is being punished for her awful actions. To think, if she had just complied to her alcohol edu classes like everyone else has to, without making excuses and missing so many, and I mean BEFORE this year. …she was only doing them THIS year bc of her atrocious record LAST year…..she would never be in this boat. Jail for 30 days should help her realize she cant waltz thru life violating court orders as she pleases.

  14. Meredith says:

    @Sarah–AMEN!

  15. ganesh says:

    Wow! I am kind of amazed at the level of hatred aimed her way…she clearly has done wrong, has a major substance abuse problem and needs HELP! I just don’t really get the amount of personal hatred that people have thrown at her…i, for one, can only hope that when the day comes that I need serious help I am not bombarded with such viciousness…glass houses people, glass houses….

    • Trent Trent says:

      @ganesh — I think you are confusing outrage for hatred. If people hate anything it’s that Lindsay has been allowed, to her detriment, to get away with bloody murder … and people are just fed up.

  16. debho says:

    Amen Trent.

  17. ganesh says:

    @trent – i understand the outrage at the system – i really do – but the comments here are way more than that – they are personal and, some of them, just mean, mean, mean….

    I am extremely stressed around my own child that is currently taking Strattera. I recognize there are actually a great number of unwanted side effects. I will be so afraid they results in being hooked on additional pills. Just what exactly else can certainly I implement? What kinds of guidance tips are you able to present myself. I recently came across this Dr. Weathers who does not need to use harmful drugs to combat ADHD kids and even their loved ones. Has anyone done any research on what he does? Have you examined his books ADHD: Path to Success and ADHD: Drug-free & Doin’ Fine
