Yesterday morning, I was able to finish my day’s work in time to meet up with a group from Marissa and Ryan’s bridal party so that we could go snorkeling off the coast of Maui. I had never snorkeled before so I was VERY excited about the trip. We all piled into a few cars and made our way to the marina for a day of fun I will never forget. Here is a group shot of all of us plus the amazing crew of the Trilogy II, who took very good care of us all day long:

I’m an OK swimmer but being out in the Pacific Ocean for the first time is a bit daunting … so I went the boogie board route to snorkeling and had the best time ever. Humans aren’t meant to see the underwater world up close and personal and, yet, we’ve managed to figure out a way to do so. I saw the most amazing, most colorful fish ever … we even got to see a small octopus! I was just completely amazed by the whole experience. I’m so glad I was able to make the trip, it was just amazing.

The rest of the day was spent sunning ourselves by the resort pool and then we made our way to dinner and drinks afterward. It is just paradise here and I am loving every second of it. I can’t wait to finish work today so I can get my cookies down to the beach for some more relaxation.

As you can see, they pretty much run the island of Maui :) And they are going to become husband and wife tomorrow :D David, who is a bridesmaid in tomorrow’s nuptials, has a lot of duties to take care of today … I, on the other hand, do not … and I can’t wait to get back to maxin’ and relaxin’.
