David Beckham, who is still not quite fit enough to play with his soccer team the LA Galaxy just yet (despite being well enough to play soccer with his sons), was forced to endure a torturous match over the weekend where all he could do was watch his team fail without him:

Poor Becks … all he could do was watch in frustration from his luxury VIP skybox … some guys really have it rough. Becks was pacing, grimacing, basically throwing himself onto the floor in desperation as his soccer team languished on the soccer field below. Think I’m exaggerating? Check out the photos after the jump …

David Beckham is obviously itching to get back on the pitch again. The footballer is currently relegated to the sidelines due to a torn Achilles tendon. His injury meant him missing the world cup and it’s thought he will probably be unable to play football for most of this season. But his injury isn’t keeping him home – the Galaxy midfielder was front and central at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California yesterday to cheer on his team. The frustration at being unable to play was evident on Beckham’s heavily bearded face as he watched the game from a private sky box at the stadium. He was on the edge of his seat throughout the game, and at one point he hung his head in his hands – not surprising as his team were beaten 2-0 by the Kansas City Wizards. But Beckham was his usual gracious self when it came to his fans, putting on a brave face and taking time to talk to the crowds and sign autographs.
Awww … well, I hope that Becks is able to heal quickly so that he can show his frustration on the soccer field rather than the skybox when the Galaxy lose in the future ;) Get well soon, Becks. And take a chill pill, will ya?

If Becks really cared about the Galaxy he would be on the bench with the rest of the DL players instead of putting on a show from his luxury box.
Plus he’s been injured this entire season and the team has done just fine without him. Despite losing the previous two matches, the LA GALAXY is still the leader in standings with a 13-5-4 record.
Becks is just a distraction-a mighty good looking distraction-but the media needs to stop making it sound like the team is in dire straights because he’s not playing. The Galaxy was a great team before Becks and will continue to be one once he is gone.
Despite bringing media attention to the Galaxy and MLS, (and of course lots of $$$ with sales of his Jersey and extra tickets when he actually is playing) he has not done much to contribute to the overall betterment of the team or the league.
His seasons with the team have been lackluster and he has probably sent as much time away from the team (on loan or the DL) as on the pitch.
totally unrelated, but does anyone else see a ryan kwanten/jason stackhouse resemblance in the first and second pics?
WHATEVER. He is the biggest disappointment in sports history. Well, not really, but he is definitely on that list. I’m only associating this with his play in the U.S.A., mind you. He just bugs me, really.
I’m with you Chase. I am so tired of hearing about this guy and he never does anything!! Does he ever make it more than like a week without an injury? Just give it up man…
Does he ever do anything?? YES! He ALWAYS looks damn hot! That’s enough!!
@Kendra Hahahah!! Agreed!!
he is just a has been, he could have an amazing carreer if he hasnt prefered to be a star when he was in real madrid he hated it there because he wasnt the star he should dedicate to the movies or something like that because in soccer he is a joke now
Holy crap he looks JUST like Ethan Hawke in the 2nd picture (IMO) – MMM niiiiiiiice : )
Beckam was a good player , NEVER an excellent player, but he´s cute and played in 3 of the most important clubs in the world. He has a lot of experience to share with young players.
Maybe the most important ” has been” in USA is Henry but the purpose of the league is to get new americans players.
In a few years, I ´m sure the USA will be one of the eight best soccer teams in the world.
