The Cast Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 11 Has Been Announced
TEAM MARGARET CHO!!!

A couple of weeks ago we learned the somewhat shocking news that Mike The Situation Sorrentino had been cast as a contestant on the upcoming 11th season of Dancing with the Stars. A few days later, we heard that Bristol Palin had also joined the cast. Today we learn that those two casting reports were true as the full cast line-up of DWTS season 11 has been announced:

Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron and co-host Brooke Burke revealed the identities of the celebrity cast live during Monday night’s Bachelor Pad broadcast. Except for Bolton and The Situation, all of the celebrities appeared live on stage with the Dancing with the Stars hosts as they were announced. “[They] couldn’t be here tonight,” Bergeron said as he announced Bolton and The Situation’s participation. With the exception of Massey, all the celebrities had previously been reported to be participating or be in talks to participate in Dancing with the Stars’ eleventh season. Dancing with the Stars’ eleventh season will premiere Monday, September 20 at 8PM ET/PT with a two-hour broadcast. All 12 celebrities will perform a Viennese waltz or cha cha routine with their professional partner during the premiere, and the couple with the lowest combination of the judges’ scores and home viewer votes will be eliminated on the following night’s results show. Dancing with the Stars’ eleventh-season professional partner pairings will be announced Wednesday morning on Good Morning America. However according to Edyta Sliwinska — the only professional dancer to participate in all of the ABC ballroom dancing competition’s first ten seasons — she won’t be among this season’s partners. Earlier today, Sliwinska said she quit Dancing with the Stars due to a disagreement with the show’s producers.

You may recall that I was very excited about the last season of Dancing with the Stars earlier this year when it was announced that Shannen Doherty would be among the contestants. My interest in the show was very short-lived because Shannen was the first contestant voted off the show despite the fact that there were far worse contestants left in the mix. This season I can’t say that I’m all that interested in watching … but I will be rooting for the amazing Margaret Cho to win it all! After the jump, check out a photo of almost the full cast which was posted on the DWTS official Facebook profile

Dancing with the Stars’ six female eleventh-season celebrities will be comedian and actress Margaret Cho, actress Jennifer Grey, actress Florence Henderson, singer and former America’s Got Talent judge Brandy Norwood, former The Hills star Audrina Patridge, and Bristol Palin, the teen mom daughter of former Alaskan governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

The six male celebrities will be singer Michael Bolton, former NBA basketball player Rick Fox, actor and former America’s Got Talent judge David Hasselhoff, rapper and Disney Channel star Kyle Massey, Jersey Shore star Mike The Situation Sorrentino, and recently retired NFL quarterback Kurt Warner.

Not included in the photo above are The Situation and Michael Bolton … in their place, you will find DWTS hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke. So DWTS fans, what do y’all think of this cast? Are you pleased? Is there anyone in particular that YOU are planning to root for?

Definitely pulling for Margaret Cho! I love her on Drop Dead Diva. The rest of the cast doesn’t really seem all that exciting. Please don’t let The Situation make it past the first round! I don’t think I can take anymore of him flashing his abs everywhere. Am I the only one who thinks they look really weird now?

  2. Dianna says:

isn’t it cheating to have Jennifer Grey? She did star in a dancing movie…just like Nicole Sherzinger was cheating. This is not a show for professionals! The whole point is to see them do horribly

  3. nicole says:

    Hasselhoff FTW.

  4. Steph says:

Anyone else amused that they have the 2 ex-judges from America’s Got Talent on there? Guess this is where you go when you can’t find work?
Oh and I agree with Lauren- Love Cho on Drop Dead Diva, I hope she is as amusing on Dancing to keep me interested!

  5. CHASE says:

Team Florence Henderson! I love “The Brady Bunch” with a huge passion! And, um, ew, why is Bristol Palin on there? Shouldn’t she be taking care of her kid and bitching how young girls shouldn’t be pregnant all across schools because they’re poor or whatever because she’s such a “role model”? I can’t stand her and I hope she gets voted off the first week and eats her feelings with the most unhealthiest foods known to man. Yes, I went there.

@Chase. that my friend is the dark side. but dont worry we have cookies. ;)

  7. Amanda G says:

Wow…this list is sooo D list LOL Audrina?!?! I’m curious about the Sitch though. As annoying as he can be, he is also hilarious! If he’s partnered with someone equally as fun then he’ll probably be interesting to watch. And I agree with whoever hopes Palin gets voted off first.

  8. Genevieve says:

Margaret Cho is incredible and I’m rooting for her but nothing stands out of the rest of the cast except maybe the Hoff.

  9. LISA L says:

I am a huge fan of this show, but was SUPER disappointed about this season’s “stars”….. errr, are there any real “stars” this season?

Rooting for Margaret Cho, Rick Fox, and Kurt Warner.

So sad that my favorite prof dancer won’t be on this season =(

  10. If it’s cheating to have Jennifer Grey, it’s probably cheating to have Florence Henderson, too. I realize she’s 76 and also no one remembers, but the woman HAS danced on Broadway.

  11. Bee says:

I think this might be the first season of DWTS I actually watch. Normally there are like Z-listers, at least there are bunch of people on here I recognize. And the mix of them (and watching Palin’s kid fail miserably) might just make it interesting :)

  12. Jenn says:

    lol @ Chase
