After getting engaged to be wed in December of 2008 and then dropping off the face of the planet for the year that followed, news started to spread in June of this year that actors (and alleged lovers) Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen decided to end their engagement. Today we get official confirmation from the couple themselves that they are NO LONGER engaged to be married. It sounds like RayDen have finally decided to end their farce of a relationship and are, at last, dunzo!

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have officially ended their engagement. Reports surfaced a couple months ago that the duo were on a break, but now the split is permanent. “Yes, the engagement is off,” Bilson’s rep tells PEOPLE, but declined to provide details on the breakup. Distance was reportedly one of the main reasons for the split. With Bilson primarily in L.A., and Christensen in Canada, “It just wasn’t working out,” says a pal of the actress. Now Bilson is “focusing on her career, spending time with her family and just moving forward,” adds the friend.

Oh yeah, I SO knew that this was how RayDen was gonna end up. Back in June, when the rumors started that the couple called off their engagement, I wrote about how CERTAIN I was that these two would NEVER get married. It may have taken a couple of months but I knew this official announcement would come. This couple never ever acted like an actual couple and once they got engaged, their weird behavior got even worse. The news of RayDen‘s duznoness should come as no surprise to anyone … that is, if any of y’all even remembered that this odd couple were even engaged to be wed in the first place. IMHO, Bilson should see if former flame Adam Brody is single and available … you know, I’m just sayin’.
