Paris Hilton’s Mugshot Released, Her Lawyer Speaks
Smile, and have a Coke!

Yesterday we learned that socialite Paris Hilton got busted in Las Vegas, NV late Friday night on cocaine possession charges and based on her defense of “It’s not mine” was successfully released from police custody without having to pay bail. Because of the fact that Paris was let go, it seems plainly clear to me that she will likely avoid any and all punishment for the crime. Still, today, we get to see the mugshot that Paris posed for when she was arrested for umpteenth time this weekend:

Additionally, Hilton‘s high-priced and very effective lawyer David Chesnoff has issued an official statement on behalf of his client addressing the matter of her arrest in a way that attempts to deflect all assumption of guilt away from sweet and innocent Paris Hilton:

“Paris Hilton was released this morning on her own recognizance. This matter will be dealt with in the courts not in the media and I encourage people not to rush to judgment until all of the facts have been dealt with in a court of law. There will be no interviews and no more comments at this time.”

While the fact remains that Paris Hilton was the only woman found in the car when the bust was made and that the cocaine that was reportedly found was discovered inside a woman’s purse, Hilton‘s lawyer somehow managed to convince the police that neither the purse nor the coke that was found belonged to Paris Hilton. And now you understand why David Chesnoff is such a high-priced lawyer, he clearly is very good at his job. Still, it’s very possible that some punishment may come Paris‘s way … and there’s always the chance that Paris‘s boyfriend Cy Waits (who himself was arrested Friday night at the same time for drunk driving) might have something to say on the matter (after all, why should he be the only one to be punished for any of this?). I guess we’ll have to wait and see but my guess is that Paris will get off Scott free … she usually tends to get away with pretty much everything, after all.

I’m not coming to Hilton’s defense because damn she’s an idiot but I am going to play devil’s advocate.

It is POSSIBLE that the purse had someone else’s ID in it, proving that it’s not hers. If the previous is true, it’s POSSIBLE that the person it really belonged to came forward and took the blame.

It’s an unlikely scenario but like I said, devil’s advocate.

This is all a publicity stunt! She cleaned up her act and people got tired of her, she stayed out of the spotlight, no one gave her press, etc. However, Lindsay Lohan is getting an immense amount of press due to her being Lindsay Lohan and I bet that pisses Paris off! Plus, Kim Kardashian is now successful and has taken Paris’ spot completely. So what does Paris do? She pulls this stunt. She’s pathetic and gross. So sad.

Wouldn’t there be some ID in the purse? A credit card, driver’s licence? You don’t just cart a purse around with nothing in it but cocaine. lol And if this wasn’t her purse, where was hers? She never goes anywhere without one! I’ve never been a fan, but this has made me like her even less. She is pathetic.

has paris hilton grown up at all in the past 5 years? she and her weird baby voice are ridiculous.

  5. Darcy says:

Wait, didn’t Lindsay make this same claim with the jeans she was wearing when they found coke on her?

Guess we know how to get out of a drug charge – just claim that you borrowed it from a friend!

And why would Paris take lip gloss out of a purse that wasn’t hers?

I’m sorry, but it is pretty bad when her mug shot is prettier than virtually any other picture of her out there…less wonk to the eye, I think.
