Jimmy Fallon, host of the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, was joined by Television Academy President John Shaffner and Emmy Awards Executive Producer Don Mischer at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles just moments ago to officially roll out the red carpet for this weekend’s awards show. I understand that this is the first time an Emmy host has presided over the red carpet unveiling but it’s totally unsurprising that Jimmy would want to be a part of such a fun event. Yesterday we learned that Jimmy is asking YOU to send your tweets so that he can read them live on air and today he’s rolling up his sleeves to roll out the red carpet for the Emmy Awards. I have a feeling that his hosting job this weekend is going to be really fun. While I’m very excited to watch this year, I simply cannot believe we’re already moving into awards season again … can you?
