Halle Berry, rockin’ a fabulous short hair’do that rivals the hot new ‘do that Emma Watson has been rockin’ lately, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Vogue magazine. As you may recall, Halle called it quits with her babydaddy Gabriel Aubrey earlier this year but has managed to stay friendly with the male model for the sake of their daughter Nahla Arelia. In her Vogue coverstory, Halle talks about how she is ready to find true love, despite her romantic setback with Aubrey:

Halle Berry is still waiting for her own Hollywood happy ending. After a very public split earlier this year with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, the Monster’s Ball Oscar-winning actress, 43, has not given up on finding Mr. Right. “I’m not done with love, but I refuse to settle,” Berry tells September’s Vogue. “I am a hopeless romantic. And I won’t stop till I get it right.” Berry is not bitter toward her former beau, calling him an “amazing father” and “absolutely the right person” with which to have had her daughter Nahla, 2. “We have always been friends, we’re still friends, we love each other very much, and we both share the love of our lives,” she says. “And we are both 100 percent committed to being the best parents we can be … She will see as she grows that we have a lot of love for each other” … “It’s just that you realize you are not meant to go the distance with everybody,” she says. “We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that’s why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever, all three of us. We are a family until we are not here anymore” … Months after their split, Berry is just as confident in herself (“If the world wouldn’t persecute me, I’d take nude pictures every day of the week”) and ready to take on her career. “I’m so looking forward to getting back to work,” she says. “It’s been good being a mom, and I love it, but Nahla’s gotten to a point where it’s okay for me to get back to what I love, to have that creative outlet.”

I’m relieved to read that Halle is doing well in the wake of her break-up with Gabriel. I really loved them together but it really sounds like it just wasn’t meant to be. I agree with Halle that she and Gabriel were meant to be together long enough to bring little Nahla into the world … I am so thankful that they managed to fulfill that destiny. Wow. Halle Berry is normally a very beautiful woman but these photos really take her beauty to a whole other level. The styling is perfection … and her hair? LOVE IT! The inner geek in me LOVES how Romulan she looks ;) It’s starting to look like shorter hair is really in these days … if woman could look as ravishing as Halle Berry with their hair this short, I’d bet they’d happily chop off all of their hair in a second.
