Film and theater star Daniel Radcliffe is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Out magazine. In his coverstory interview, Daniel talks about a wide range of topics … including his recent singlehood and how much fun he is having running around “chasing girls” despite his troubles with dating. Here is our first look at DanRad‘s Out magazine cover and some excerpts from his coverstory interview:

Daniel Radcliffe has admitted that he gets nervous about taking women out on dates. In an interview with Out magazine, the Harry Potter actor said that after ending a long-term relationship, he found it hard to readjust to being single. “I was in a relationship with somebody for just about three years, and we broke up just shortly before we hit that mark,” he explained. “But [the breakup] was very amicable. At the moment, I’m just being single and running around chasing girls. I’m not getting too many responses, but, yes, I’m having a go.” He continued: “It’s quite nerve-racking because it’s not something I’m used to. Not that I struggle with talking, but I have this incredible anxiety about awkward silences and pauses and all that stuff, which I think everybody worries about. “But I get quite wound up about that beforehand. I do actually manage to get quite chatty in the end – probably too much – and probably a bit boring. I just try to make girls laugh. That’s really the only thing I’m particularly good at on dates.”
Ain’t he just the cutest thing? I love how comfortable DanRad is with talking about the personal aspects of his life. It is confidence like this that impresses me wholeheartedly … not only is the young man extremely talented but he also seems like a genuinely nice guy who is, well, actually genuine. After the jump, check out a few photos from Dan‘s Out photospread and read the press release issued by Out that highlights Radcliffe‘s commitment to the GLBT community …

Radcliffe became a clear ally for the LGBT community by speaking out against homophobia and filming a public service announcement for The Trevor Project, a leading organization dedicated to preventing suicide among LGBT youths. “When I got to have a tour of the New York [Trevor Project] call center, my admiration for the project, but also for the place and the people, tripled,” Radcliffe said of his involvement. “The systems they have in place, the actual way the call center works on a practical level, is so brilliant and efficient. It’s something I’m very proud to be able to be involved with.” Radcliffe allowed Out to sit in on his recent conversation with Our Lady J as the pair talked about the upcoming–and final–Harry Potter film, the thrills and potential hazards of dating when you’re one of the world’s most recognizable bachelors, and why Radcliffe is earning big points from the trans community.
Our Lady J is a fabulous woman, a fabulous performer and — apparently to Daniel Radcliffe — a fabulous friend to have. David and I got to see Our Lady J perform a small cabaret show with Natalie Joy Johnson at home in LA last year and she really turned the mutha out. I’m not surprised at all that she and DanRad are BFFs. Daniel has really become one of the most vocal supporters of the GLBT community which has won him the hearts of more than one fabulous queen. I just love him!

LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!! He is one zexy Brit!
Damn. I wanna date Harry Potter.
