As far as the Arizona immigration law goes…I am baffled why Senators McCain and Kyl complain that the Federal Gov’t hasn’t done its job. Don’t they realize that THEY are a part of the branch of Federal government that is in charge of making those laws? Sorry, but you can’t say the Fed needs to step up while YOU are preventing them from doing so. The GOP wants to focus soley on the border, because it distracts from the biggest illegal immigrant issue: employers.
Krissy; Our Arizona Senate and House passed the law. We were going to enact it into law and then the FEDERAL GOVERMENT sued AZ. If you haven’t read the 14 page law then you don’t understand it is based, almost verbatim, off the FEDERAL LAW that has been a law for years. The Federal Goverment ins’t doing it’s job and it is quite sad. If you don’t live here you don’t understand. I am all for legal immigration but this is way passed that. Something needs to be done and with BS politicans like Nancy Pelosi and a few other I won’t name nothing will ever get done unless it is taking us closer to a socialist state! This isn’t about any ethnicity either. This is simply about legal, tax paying immigration.
My last comment disappeared. Krissy not to be rude or anything but you really don’t know what you are talking about. This issue is bigger than the GOP and the Democrats. This issue is about implementing laws that already exist (federal laws) because the goverment SUCKS right now. And for the sake of not offending anyone I will keep my opinion to myself. This isn’t a racial or ethical issue, this is about BREAKING RULES and being held accountable for them.
