I Heart Sacre Coeur
The TV Guide

Sarah and I enjoyed a very full Sunday in Montmartre yesterday which involved a lot of sightseeing, a lot of eating and a LOT of walking. We made our way to the area around the Moulin Rouge and just took in the sights on our way to the Montmartre Cemetary … snapping fun pics along the way:

I have become a new fan of the iPhone camera app Hipstamatic. I’ve had the app for a while but never really used it much at home … once I started taking photos yesterday, I couldn’t stop. I cannot share all of the photos that we took yesterday but if you’re interested in checking out some of them, you can do so after the jump …

The highlight of the day was our trip to Sacre Coeur. We hiked up the 300+ steps to circle the dome of the cathedral and spent quite a bit of time once we arrived at the top. The view of Paris from the top of Sacre Coeur is just magical, we had a blast. We managed to get down from the dome in time to sit in a bit in the evening mass. Sarah, recalling her Catholic school upbringing, was able to follow along with the mass even tho it was in French. After our long day, we made our way back home to our hotel and found a fantastic little cafe for late dinner at 11pm. Let me tell you, the escargots was delish!!

Today, Sarah will be visiting the Louvre museum and I’ll be meeting up with her after in the Jardin des Tuileries. Then tonight we will make our way to the Olympia Hall to see Tori Amos LIVE in concert! It’s crazy how fast our time here in Paris has flown by but today is our last full day before we fly back home tomorrow morning. I don’t wanna leave but you best believe I’ll be enjoying my time here as much as I can, while I still can.

That cemetery is so amazing! Unless you have been there you really can’t grasp it. So fun, I prefer the Orsee to the Louvre! Keep the pictures coming, looks like so much fun!

Sacre Cour is beautiful. I saw Palm Sunday mass there and it was so beautiful, and like you I was able to follow the mass even if it was in French! Have fun.

Hipstamitic is the BEST. I’ve only had my iPhone4 a few days and I’m obsessed. What’s great about it is that it turns the most mundane pictures into works of art :)
