Congratulations and love goes out to Aussie darling Dannii Minogue (younger sister of Kylie Minogue) because it is being reported today that she gave birth to her first child this past Monday July 5. According to the just released reports, Dannii and babydaddy Kris Smith had a baby boy whom they named Ethan Edward:

The 38-year-old X-Factor judge and her partner, Kris Smith, had a son named Ethan Edward Smith on Monday. The couple were said to be ”thrilled” with the new arrival. Minogue’s spokesman Simon Jones said: ”Kris Smith and Dannii Minogue are thrilled to announce the arrival of Ethan Edward Smith on 5th July 2010. Mother and baby are doing well and Dad is very proud. They request their privacy at this special time to adjust as new parents.” The baby boy is Minogue’s first child and, according to reports, the baby was born in Melbourne … The singer’s elder sister, Kylie, who has been busy promoting her new album Aphrodite, is reported to be flying over to welcome her new nephew in the near future. Minogue’s pregnancy has meant she has been forced to miss the recent X-Factor auditions, with stand-ins including Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. Shortly before giving birth, the star wrote on Twitter that she was pining to see the X-Factor judges. She Tweeted: “Looking forward to catching up on XFactor auditions. Can’t wait to see Simon, Cheryl and Louis again soon – miss them very much. Dx.”

I follow Dannii on Twitter and it didn’t even occur to me that she hasn’t posted any new tweets in days after this last tweet about X Factor. The sneaky little lady was off birthin’ her baby in Melbourne. I am so happy for her … ever since we got official confirmation in January that she was pregs I’ve been counting down the days to the big day. Much love and many congrats goes out to Dannii and Kris on the birth of little Ethan. I imagine he is the cutest little doll. I can’t wait until we get to see him! Woot!
