Woot!! Great news to pass along today … Glee creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that a Britney Spears episode of Glee is in the works. As you may recall, fans started a push to have Glee devote an entire episode to the music of Britney Spears after the show aired their all Madonna episode this past season. Murphy reveals that he is in the process now of writing the ep, which should be included in the show’s second season:
While there’s no word if the pop princess herself will appear on the hit show, “Glee” creator/writer Ryan Murphy tells ET that the show is currently in the middle of writing a Spears episode. The hit show, earning 19 Emmy noms Thursday, will also air a big tribute episode after next year’s Super Bowl, but Murphy didn’t reveal which star it will be based on, only hinting that we were “close” by guessing Michael Jackson.
Yay!! As much as I loved the all-Madonna ep of Glee (and the fun promo press that came along with it), I am really excited for this CONFIRMED all-Britney episode. It makes total sense that Glee would want to devote an episode to Britney‘s fantastic pop music catalog of songs and I would bet very good money that they will get Britney to appear on the show. Everything about this idea just screams of ratings gold! I didn’t want to get excited about rumors of a Britney ep on Glee until I heard something concrete … hearing the good news from Ryan Murphy himself is all I need. Which Britney songs do YOU want to hear featured on the show?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Suck on that, haters! Britney is Living Legend, so of course it makes sense to dedicate an episode all to her! I don’t watch this piece of crap show because I watched an episode and remained unimpressed, but I’ll have to watch for my dear Britney. ; ) This episode will be the shows HIGHEST rated show and it will break records, etc. etc. I don’t like the idea of Britney being on the show because the show is a dedication to Britney, and her being in the show wouldn’t really be that way…it would make it look less like a tribute when, I think, it should just be a tribute, but that’s just me. All hail Britney! : )
That sounds like a cool idea. I like Britney Spear’s music. However, I would not want to see her on the show. She just seems like a raunchy character, the way she carrys herself in public. Thus, she does not seem like a good addition to an episode of Glee.
Please don’t insult Glee. We can’t all have bad taste like you.
