Chelsea Clinton, the only begotten child of US President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, is about to get hitched to her fiancée and longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky this coming Saturday and was spotted running around NYC taking care of a few last minute things before her big day this weekend. It appears that Chelsea tried to run her errands in disguise but nothing draws attention to someone trying to appear invisible than a long black trench coat and matching black hat:

It’s so strange to think that the former first daughter who we watched grow up in the White House thruout the 90′s is ready to be a bride. I always thought that maybe she might make a run for public office at some point in her life so maybe getting married is the first step towards that goal. Whatever the future holds for her professionally, I sincerely hope her personal life is filled with nothing but bliss and happiness. I also hope she decides to ditch the silly disguise as the week progresses … the media is going to be on her 24/7 until she gets hitched, there’s no sense in trying to disappear now.

Last weekend the attendees at 2010 San Diego Comic-Con got the first look at the first footage from the big screen adaptation of the Marvel Comics film Thor at a screening of the film’s first movie trailer … today we get to check out that movie trailer for ourselves. Somehow the movie trailer that was shown at Comic-Con leaked its way to the Internets, giving the rest of us our FIRST LOOK at the live action version of Thor:

The highly-anticipated trailer for “Thor” which was debuted at San Diego Comic Con has now hit the web. In the five-minute video, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is featured being interrogated by Agent Coulson. Later, it switches to the scene set in the Hall of Asgard where he is cast down to Earth. The rest of the video then follows the powerless warrior as he is juggling with the life on Earth. Thor is a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin and is forced to live among humans. He later learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth. Anthony Hopkins joins the cast as Odin with Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston playing Thor’s love interest Jane Foster and his nemesis Loki respectively. Kenneth Branagh takes the helming duty for this movie adaptation of Marvel comics which is slated for May 6, 2011 release in the U.S.

Ok, yes, I’m impressed. Of the superhero films being released next year, Thor was the one that had me the most worried. Telling the tale of the ancient Norse gods as they interact here with humans on Earth is easy to do in comics but I felt it would be a challenge to make it believable on the big screen … this first trailer has put those fears to rest for me. I’m actually shocked by how much footage they have filmed already. This trailer ends with the introduction of one of Thor‘s villains — The Destroyer (who, you may recall, we first got to see back in April) … wait ’til you get a load of him. Lindsay Lohan, the artist currently known as Inmate #2409752, had her day brightened a bit yesterday as a buttload of snacks and packages were delivered to the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, CA — her current home away from home. As you may recall, yesterday we learned that plans are in the works to prepare for that magic moment when the jailhouse authorities decide to cut her loose and release her early from her jail sentence sometime this weekend but considering the huge delivery she received in jail yesterday … maybe she’ll want to stay in jail a little bit longer:

Lindsay Lohan is passing her time behind bars writing, “creating art” and eating sweet snacks, according to her lawyer. The “Mean Girls” star is currently incarcerated at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, where she is serving part of a 90-day jail sentence for violating her probation relating to a 2007 DUI arrest. And even though she is expected to be released as early as Sunday, August 1, Lohan isn’t idly wasting her time – her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley reveals the actress is being creative behind bars. Holley says, “She’s good. She’s eating some (licorice candy) Twizzlers. She looks gorgeous. She’s writing a lot. She’s creating art. She’s a beautiful, talented, creative woman, and she’s going to come out and surprise you all!”

Awww … that’s precious. Yeah, and now that Inmate #2409752 just had this HUGE load of snacks and packages delivered (no, not by Chaz Bono) I’m certain she isn’t as anxious to get out of jail as we previously may have thought ;) In Touch Weekly commissioned courtroom sketch artist Mona Shafer Edwards — the woman who sketched the only image of Lindsay Lohan being handcuffed in court before she was taken away to jail last week — to imagine what Lindsay‘s life behind bars might look like.
