Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Shares His Family Situation

MTV is sharing an amazingly entertaining photo of Jersey Shore star Mike The Situation Sorrentino and his siblings … which I present to you here:

I mean, this is a situation right here. Clearly, good looks run in the family. Don’t all of these Sorrentinos look exactly the same? Like, exactly? LOL.

First Look: Natalie Portman In ‘Black Swan’

Director Darren Aronofsky, who found success with his brilliant films Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler, has set his sights on the world of ballet for his next film. Black Swan stars Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis in a “dark” “psychological” tale about 2 ballet dancers in NYC. To be honest, I’ve heard very little about this film but what I’ve heard is pretty impressive. Here is our first look at Portman in Black Swan and some deets about the film itself:

The Venice International Film Festival apparently can’t get enough of Darren Aronofsky, even if he has switched his focus from muscle-bound men to dainty dancers. The director took home a Golden Lion, the event’s top prize, for The Wrestler in 2008. Now he has been given the honor of opening this year’s 11-day event on Sept. 1 with Black Swan, a ballet-themed thriller due in late fall. “The cast and crew of Black Swan are both excited and humbled by the selection committee’s invitation,” Aronofsky said in a press announcement. “It is an honor to walk the great red carpet on the Lido, and we are excited to premiere our film to the wonderful audiences in Venice.” The dark tale with psychological twists stars Natalie Portman as Nina, a technically brilliant ballerina whose life takes some strange turns after being picked as the lead in a New York City production of Swan Lake. Pressures mount as her overbearing mother (Barbara Hershey) pushes her to succeed and her manipulative dance master (Vincent Cassel) commands her to be more seductive and loose in her performance. Complicating matters is the arrival of Lily (Mila Kunis), a sultry dancer who exhibits all the innate ease and sexuality that Nina lacks. Nina begins to fixate on the newcomer as the two forge an unusual relationship. “The worldwide attention given to the Venice film festival provides an exciting launch for Black Swan,” says Nancy Utley, president of Fox Searchlight. “We are very proud of our collaboration with Darren.” After its premiere in Venice, The Wrestler went on to awards season glory, earning actor Mickey Rourke his first Oscar nomination and a chance at a career comeback. Fox Searchlight, which bought The Wrestler at the Toronto film festival after its Venice success, has similar hopes for Black Swan— and especially for Portman, who was nominated for an Oscar for her supporting part in 2004′s Closer. As the actress tells USA TODAY about her troubled Nina: “The character was very interesting to play, always challenging and surprising. The fact that I had spent so much time with the idea — Darren and I started discussing doing the film in 2000 — allowed it to marinate a little before we shot.”

Altho this article is light on actual deets about the film, I’ve heard from a few people who have seen an early version of the film that it is an amazing film. I am a huge Aronofsky fan — ever since Requiem for a Dream (which remains one of my all-time fave films) — so I’m really curious to see what he can do with a ballet story. I’m guessing the “usual relationship” between Portman‘s character and Kunis‘s character will be where the crux of the “dark tale” will lie. After the jump, check out another photo of Portman in her Black Swan role as well as a photo of Portman and Kunis together …

Badd boy
Bryan Abrams Of Color Me Badd Busted . . . Again!

Ace of Base, who have just released their new single All For You, aren’t the only ones bringing back a bit of 90′s nostalgia today … Color Me Badd singer Bryan Abrams was arrested in Honolulu, HI last night for allegedly throwing his wife against the wall during an argument they were having. Some of you may recall that Abrams got busted back in 2008 for allegedly threatening to kill his then-girlfriend … clearly, Bryan Abrams has a problem controlling his temper. Here is homie’s new mugshot along with deets of his latest arrest:

Bryan Abrams from the 90s R&B group Color Me Badd was arrested after a fight with his wife. It all went down Tuesday, when Honolulu police say Abrams got into an argument with his wife and threw her across the room. The singer — who actually performed with the old group Sunday in Hawaii — was arrested on suspicion of harassment and released. Abrams was also arrested back in 2008 on charges of domestic abuse and assault and battery after allegedly threatening to kill his girlfriend.

UGH. It really looks like this dude has got major anger management problems. I’m not sure how an allegation of throwing a woman against a wall becomes a charge of “harassment” but I do hope that Mr. Abrams is punished to the full extent of the law if he his found guilty of his crimes. I’m all for 90′s nostalgia but I’d rather not hear about any of my once fave pop stars assaulting other people. Boo.

"I'm doing it allllll for you"
Listen In Full: Ace Of Base, ‘All For You’

On Monday we got our first taste of the BRAND NEW single from the new version of Ace of Base and today we get to hear the song All For You in full. As I mentioned before, I’m such a sucker for Ace of Base‘s music and — this new song is no exception, I’ve already listened to it about 10 times today:

The track has that same infectious vibe that can be expected from Ace of Base, which gives me hope that their new album will be just as good. All For You reminds me a lot of the Ace of Base song Beautiful Life, another one of my fave songs from the band. I’m not certain it’s a bad thing that the songs sound similar … alls I know is I love it. And so, without further ado, you can listen to All For You by Ace of Base, after the jump …

Rihanna Rocks LA

Last night my good friend Josh and I made our way to the Staples Center in downtown LA to see Rihanna on her Last Girl on Earth Tour. I have been anxiously awaiting this show for months and last night I finally got to see my girl Ri Ri live on stage. Here are a few photos from her performance last night:

Rihanna just KILLED it last night. The show was very big, very fun, very well orchestrated. Rihanna sang beautifully and provided an atmosphere of electric excitement and all out fun. Josh and I were very impressed … and I couldn’t get over how many amazing Rihanna songs there are. I mean, I know the girl has a huge catalog of songs but I had forgotten how many of them were huge hits. One of the show’s highlights for me was the guest appearance on stage by Eminem. Em came out to perform his current #1 single Love the Way you Lie which features Rihanna on vocals. Em came out and the crowd exploded in cheers. My boy Darion managed to get great photos and video from last night’s concert. After the jump, check out some of Darion’s photos of Rihanna & Eminem along with some pretty fantastic video from the show …

DMX splits, Superman's secret? 'Glee' will be "quieter"
'Saw VII' will be the final film
‘SAW 3D’ Releases Motion Poster Artwork, Announces End Of Franchise

Another year, time for another SAW movie … and with 2010 San Diego Comic-Con in full swing, it’s time once again to check in with the horror franchise to see what’s in store this time around. Altho the next SAW film is technically SAW VII, it has been titled SAW 3D because — you guessed it — the film will be presented in eye-popping 3D. Additionally, an announcement will be made at Comic-Con this weekend that SAW 3D will be the final film of the horror franchise. That’s right folks, the end has finally come for SAW. Here is our first look at the first poster released from SAW 3D and deets about the upcoming announcement:

After seven movies, more than $730 million in worldwide box office and 30 million DVDs sold, the grisly horror franchise Saw is hanging it up after the final film, Saw 3-D, out Oct. 29. Producers and star Tobin Bell will make the announcement Friday at Comic-Con during the film’s footage presentation. “It’s time to stop,” says Oren Koules, a producer on all the Saw movies. “We have told the story we wanted to tell, and this is going to be a great farewell.” That’s probably code for “gruesome.” The franchise, about a booby-trap-building psycho, became the titan of horror films with its intricate, deadly devices: a dirty needle pit; a razor box that peels skin like onions; a reverse bear trap that rips open the jaw. But that’s child’s play compared with the final film, which was shot in 3-D and will feature 11 booby traps, nearly double the average for previous films. The film was re-edited and submitted six times to the Motion Picture Association of America to bring it from an NC-17 to an R rating. “I’m surprised we got it,” says producer Mark Burg. “It’s more violent than any of them. But it’s in 3-D, it answers all the questions, it comes full circle. We have the goods on this one” … “You can count on one hand the franchises that lasted seven years — and every year, no less,” says Jason Constantine, Lionsgate’s president of acquisitions and co-productions. “It became part of pop-culture discourse.”

Whoa … I am actually very surprised that SAW VII will be the final film. To be honest, I fell out of love with the franchise a few movies ago but I never thought they’d end the run so soon. I figured they’d go at least until the 10th movie. Still, it seems time the end the run … I understand that this last SAW film will answer all the questions and will bring the story full circle. Cary Elwes, who hasn’t been featured in a SAW film since he hacked off his foot and escaped to freedom at the end of the first film will return for SAW VII. I’m actually very excited to see SAW in 3D now that I know it’s the final installment. As if this news wasn’t enough excitement, SAW 3D has released one of those cool motion posters to promote the film. Check it out after the jump …

It has begun
Madonna Puts On Her Director’s Hat

Madonna, who has been bizzy for the past few weeks promoting her new juniors clothing line Material Girl, was spotted leaving the London set of W.E., the new film she is currently directing. Here are a couple photos of Director Maddy exiting the set this week:

Thus far, I’ve been extremely confused about what this W.E. film is supposed to be about. The film’s IMDB page has been updated with a synopsis that seems to finally explain the film more clearly:

A two-tiered romantic drama focusing on the affair between King Edward VIII and American divorcée Wallis Simpson and a contemporary romance between a married woman and a Russian security guard.

Do I have confidence in Maddy‘s directing skills? Not really. But that has more to do with the fact that I am not at all impressed with her acting skills. I’ll reserve judgment until I see this movie for myself. At least we know that W.E. is now in filming production … it shouldn’t be long until we get to see the fruits of Madonna‘s labor.

Is Amy romancing Kelis's ex hubby?
Amy Winehouse Hooks Up With Nas

British trainwreck Amy Winehouse was spotted out on the town last night with rapper (and ex-husband to Kelis) Nas for, apparently, the second night in a row. It’s unclear exactly what is going on betwixt these two but I think it’s safe to say that they make an odd pairing, to say the least. Might they be working together on new music soon? Are they just new BFFs? Or, is there something more substantial going on between them? Inquiring minds want to know:

She had undergone an extraordinary rehabilitation after cleaning up her image. But it was back to business as usual yesterday as Amy Winehouse descended on Soho for a shambolic night which ended at 4am. The singer was with her two new best friends Damian Marley and Nas for the second night in a row. But there was no sign of her new man Reg Traviss who is widely believed to be behind her recent transformation. Amy, 26, began the night with a low key meal at Balans restaurant in Soho before going on to join celebrations for Marley’s 32nd birthday. The youngest son of legend Bob Marley was hosting a private event at The Kayashi Club in Covent Garden, London, before continuing on to The Runaway Club in Holborn at 2am. Amy, in true Winehouse style, didn’t stumble out of the club until 4am. She emerged covered in drink stains and looking more than a little the worse for wear. The woozy Rehab singer was then helped into her car by her security guard to make sure she didn’t stumble over. Amy looked better suited to a beach party than a birthday celebration, showing off her super skinny body in a hot pink spandex bodysuit and micro denim shorts … The previous night Amy attended the Nas and Damian Marley concert at the Hammersmith Apollo, where the pair were performing material from their highly acclaimed Distant Relatives album. Amy’s new boyfriend Reg Traviss let his girl have a night out without him, as he was no where to be seen in the club.

HMMM … to be honest, I don’t believe that anything substantial or romantic is going on here … they pair appear to have bonded while partying together and decided to keep the party going for a second night of revelry. Nas doesn’t get that much attention when he goes out but paired with a stumbling and sloshy Amy Winehouse, well, there’s your attention. Amy still seems happy to cling to her messy ways, tho, thankfully for her she seems to have lessened her need to stumble thru the streets of London in a drunken haze. I’m not sure if we’ll be seeing more of these two out and about together … and maybe that’s a good thing.

Stab-A-Thon
The Ghostface Killer Mask Is Spotted On The Set Of ‘Scream 4’

Last Friday we got to check out a bunch of photos from the Michigan set of Scream 4 which featured stars Courteney Cox-Arquette and Scream newcomer Adam Brody filming scenes for the new movie. You may recall, we also got our first look at the ghostface killer mask on the Scream 4 set. Today we get to see a whole lot more photos of the ghostface killer mask which seems to have invaded the movie set … and how:

I understand that in the film, the city of Woodsboro celebrates a massive Stab-A-Thon festival in honor of the fictional Stab film franchise which exists in the Scream film franchise. I kinda love when all the ghostface killer masks come out into the open because it makes it all the more easier for the film’s killer to get his/her work done. This convention was used very well in the opening scene of Scream 2. After the jump, check out a few more photos snapped on the Scream 4 set which feature some of the stars filming other scenes for the upcoming sequel film …
