OKEE, so I read a lot of your comments and I’m like uber happy you guys like my blog. A lot of you asked me what color I was dying my hair and it’s actually going to be like a kind of cherry blackish thingy bobbie. OH MY DAIZ. I went and saw Shrek n#4 with my brother the other day….Oh my god it was amazing, like you don’t truly understand until you see it. And the donkey is just soooo friggin legendary haaaaaaa. And if you haven’t seen it, get off the computer (after reading this of course), and go see it. So this week I’m listening to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack….don’t laugh – but I’m obsessed with it, ugh so good. Be My Baby is suuuuch a redonculous song. Also Florence + The Machine are amazing!! Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are great…two of the guys from her band look like Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord.LOL. I recently got really interested in the group Muse, which are like reee-heeaally good. They are BLINGING INNIT MATE (British ghetto talk, its air air LOL).

Praise the Lourdes, I love her blogposts. Yes, they might read a bit silly but it’s cute … she’s young and I’m sure she’s having a blast with the whole Material Girl thing. After the jump, read the rest of Miss Lola‘s latest Material Girl missive to fans …

The still mohawk-less Jared Leto was spotted this week lookin’ all hawt and stuff on a beach in Saint Tropez, France wearing much less clothing than we’re normally used to seeing him in. Even tho I’m bummed at him for letting his mohawk grow out, I do appreciate getting to see the lad in as little shirt as possible:

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Jared in shorts before … or maybe I have but I deffo do not remember seeing the big arrow tattoos on the backs of his calves. Ah well, I think I can live without the mohawk if it means we get to see Mr. Leto in skimpy outifts ;)

The temperature has finally soared into the 90s here in SoCal this week which means that actor Ryan Phillippe took every opportunity to strip down as much as possible to deal with the heat. Here are photos of Ryan in a very hot tank top on the LA set of his new film The Lincoln Lawyer:

Yes, folks, it was HOT here in LA yesterday so I’m not surprised that Ryan was wearing as little as possible in between takes. It’s a shame he couldn’t strip down even further but I’m deffo not complaining. When Ryan did get all dressed up to film scenes, he accidentally forgot to button his fly — oh no! As you may be well aware, on Tuesday we learned from Glee creator Ryan Murphy what his plans are for the just-announced Britney Spears episode of Glee (which will air this Fall in the show’s second season) and today we get to see photos of our dear Britney herself making her way in to Conway Recording Studios yesterday to do a bit of work on her upcoming new album:

I should clarify that I’m guessing that Britney was working on her new album yesterday but it’s also possible she was recording something for Glee or maybe some other project we’re not presently aware of. All I know is Britney is hard at work on something and I’m DYING to hear what she’s up to. Sure, our dear Britney may be lookin’ a bit bedraggled but she’s workin’, y’all. I am so excited … wee!!

It would seem that the artistic apple does not fall far from the artistic tree … Frances Bean Cobain, only child born of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain, is currently showing an exhibit of her artwork here in LA under the pseudonym Tim Fiddle (which sounds like an allusion to the Harry Potter character Tom Riddle … who eventually becomes the villain Lord Voldemort). Here is our first look at some of Frances‘s artwork from her current exhibit called Scumfuck on display now at the Luz de Jesus gallery inside the Wackoo novelty shop in Los Feliz, CA:

You wouldn’t expect the first art show by the teenage daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain to be middle of the road. And Frances Bean Cobain does not disappoint. In fact, the images the 17-year-old comes up with in Los Angeles are extremely disturbing. Under the pseudonym Tim Fiddle, Frances Bean’s exhibit of notebook sketches is called Scumfuck. No doubt her parents would be proud of the name. The mostly charcoal drawings depict ghoulish faces and distorted features. Each sketch has accompanying captions, including one that says, ‘Treat Me Like Your Mother Or I’ll Eat the Sun,’ another that reads ‘Goat Shit, and a third that says ‘I Don’t Owe You Shit’ The centrepiece of the exhibit is a portrait of the American punk rock musician G.G. Allin. The singer/songwriter is probably best known for his outlandish antics, including defecating and urinating on stage and performing naked. Allin died of a heroin overdose in 1993 at the age of 36 … Last year, she celebrated her Sweet 16 birthday with a suicide-themed party at The House of Blues in Los Angeles. The teenager will inherit a sizable amount of money from her late father’s estate when she turns 18 next month. In the meantime, all the drawings from her exhibit have apparently been sold. The sketches were listed between $250 and $400 each. The display is on throughout July at the La Luz De Jesus Gallery in East LA.

I’m not at all surprised that Frances is trying her hand at art … it seems pretty evident that this is just the beginning. I seem to recall that a few years ago she voiced interest in fashion and fashion design so I think this is only the tip of the iceberg where her artistic leanings lie. To be honest, I’m not all that impressed with any of these sketches … but they do so potential. If anything, they remind me of Marilyn Manson‘s artwork. I’m not at all surprised that all of her sketches sold, considering Frances‘s famous pedigree you can be sure that any of her art that goes up for sale will be bought up immediately. This is a nice first look at the girl’s artistic talent, I think. I can’t wait to see how her work will mature.

In just a few hours, I will be flying back to Detroit Rock City to spend the night there before my BFF Sarah and I fly to Paris, France tomorrow to begin our weekend adventure:

As I mentioned before, I decided that Sarah and I needed to spend a few days in Paris to celebrate my birthday and see the AMAZING Tori Amos live in concert on July 19. I love Paris so much, this will be my third visit. Sarah has never traveled internationally anywhere so she is really excited, too! The plan is to enjoy dinner at one of my fave Detroit eateries tonight before we fly out tomorrow.

Soooo, I’ll be reporting to all y’all from Detroit tomorrow and then — Paris! Woot!

On Monday we learned that Lindsay Lohan‘s attempt to hire Stuart V. Goldberg as her new lawyer (in place of Shawn Chapman Holley, who wants desperately to quit as Lindsay‘s lawyer) didn’t quite work out … but today we learn that she successfully hired Robert Shapiro (the man who successfully got OJ Simpson acquitted of the murder of his wife) to be her new attorney. It is being reported that Shapiro is hoping to get Judge Marsha Revel to rescind Lindsay‘s 90 day jail sentence in lieu of serving the same time in a rehab program. Last night, a group of Lindsay‘s family and friends made their way to the Pickford Lofts (which is a sober living rehab facility that was founded by Robert Shapiro, btw) after she secretly checked herself in for treatment Wednesday afternoon. My guess is that Shapiro will try to convince the judge that she should stay in this rehab facility rather than go to jail:

In perhaps a last-minute attempt to avoid jail, troubled actress Lindsay Lohan secretly checked into a sober living home founded by famed Los Angeles attorney Robert Shapiro, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned. Lohan arrived at Pickford Lofts in West Hollywood, California around 3:45 p.m. local time on Wednesday, and managed to slip inside without cameras catching her. Later Wednesday night, RadarOnline.com captured video of Lindsay’s on-again-off-again girlfriend, DJ Samantha Ronson outside the home. She visited with LiLo for about a half an hour before leaving to pick up some groceries and extra pillows for the Mean Girls star. Lindsay’s mother, Dina, arrived at Pickford Lofts around Midnight, and didn’t answer any questions as she entered the home with another woman. Then, around 1 a.m. Thursday, long after Sam had left, Lindsay’s other rumored gal pal, Israeli military vet Eilat Anschel, also visited her at Pickford Lofts. In its website, Pickford Lofts is described as a facility which “strives to offer a safe haven so that those in all stages of recovery can develop skills that will aid them in their journey of sobriety.” It was founded by Shapiro after he lost his son Brent to substance abuse.

This is a brilliant move by Robert Shapiro … but according to the District Attorney, who successfully convinced Judge Revel to jail Lohan in addition to ordering a stint in rehab, it’s all a waste of time. District Attorney Danette Meyers is confident that Judge Revel will not overturn her own sentencing and is sure Lindsay will have to submit to jail next week. I’m sure Meyers would have no problem with Lindsay going back to Pickford Lofts after she completes her jail sentence. I wish I could be happier about Lindsay‘s preemptive move to enter rehab this week but I know it’s merely a ploy to try and keep her out of jail. We’ll see if this attempt to avoid jail will be successful or not. My guess is that it will not … but at least Lindsay is getting herself acquainted with the rehab facility she may end up at AFTER she does her time in jail.

Last Friday we learned that Jessica Simpson and her new (yet still-married) boyfriend Eric Johnson made their way to Capri, Italy in order to celebrate her 30th birthday on July 10th. Last weekend we got to see just how the happy couple celebrated Jessica‘s big day. Today we learn that the couple made their way to Rome (to do a bit more sight-seeing, a bit more smoochin’) before finally returning home to LA yesterday:

And so, the couple’s first whirlwind International vacay has come to a close. I have to say, Jessica and Eric do make a nice-looking couple. It’s clear from all the affection they share that they really dig one another. Now that they’re home in LA, we’ll have to see just how much of that affection they will continue to share in public. To be honest, I’d love to see Jess happily settled down with a man that she loves. Because Johnson‘s divorce has yet to be finalized, the couple can’t really take their relationship to any official next level … but here’s hoping they will be able to stay together long enough for Eric to be single again so that they might get married! Doesn’t that sound like a great idea?

On Monday we saw the cutest photo of mama Sandra Bullock and her baby boy Louis Bardo making their way to LA in order to attend a friend’s funeral. Altho the occasion was not a happy one, I felt it was very nice to have Sandy back in SoCal … even if for only a short while. Today we get to see photos of mother and child as they made their return to New Orleans, LA yesterday afternoon:

I think it’s clear by how short Sandra‘s visit to LA was that she is not quite ready to be back in Tinsel Town just yet. Had it not been for the funeral, I sincerely doubt she would’ve even considered a return visit to LA. I imagine SoCal has been marred with really bad memories thanks to her scumbag of an ex-husband and I can guess that she is really enjoying her new life as a mother in New Orleans. With a precious baby boy like Louis Bardo, I think Sandra Bullock has got everything she needs in NOLA.
