Back in May we got our first look at the outrageously awesome movie trailer for the upcoming Robert Rodriguez Mexsploitation film Machete which stars, among others, Lindsay Lohan as a gun-toting nun. Today we get to check out Sister Lohan in a promo photo released for the film:

Following questions surrounding why Lindsay Lohan is not featured in the latest trailer of “Machete”, 20th Century Fox has released the first official picture of the actress in the film. The promo poster sees the depicter of April Benz wearing a nun’s habit. Despite the costume and her character’s alias “The Sister”, Lohan shows a naughty side in the photo as she is seen licking a gun. Prior to this promo poster featuring Lohan, several character posters from the film have also been shared. “Machete” is based on the fake trailer in Rodriguez’s “Grindhouse” … Danny Trejo stars as the titular character, joined by Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Jeff Fahey in addition to Lindsay Lohan. Robert Rodriguez writes the screenplay and teams up with Ethan Maniquis to helm the action film, that will arrive in U.S. cinemas on September 3.

Well, at least we know that Lindsay will getting a paycheck for this film … it would’ve been a shame if she had gotten cut from the film. And who knows, maybe she’ll even be out of jail in time to see this new flick when it opens in theaters in September. It appears that the revival of 90′s nostalgia really has kicked into full swing because The New York Post is reporting today that animator Mike Judge has announced that he will be reviving his very successful series Beavis & Butt-Head for the first time in 13 years. I don’t know about you, but I’m really excited to see what Beavis & Butt-Head have to say about the current state of music and pop culture:

‘Beavis and Butt-head” — the show that celebrated the slacker way of life and helped make MTV into a network that did more than just play music videos — is coming back. The move to resurrect the hugely popular 1990s animated anti-heroes has been rumored for several days. But yesterday, sources at MTV confirmed that a new batch of “Beavis and Butt-head” episodes are in the works. The new series would keep Beavis and Butt-head in their perpetual high-school state, but it would be updated so that the pals — who obsessively watch music videos on a battered TV set — could lob their snarky comments at more current targets like Lady Gaga. The show’s minimalist animated style is also expected to remain intact. The return of “Beavis and Butt-head” will be a backdoor means for MTV to return to showing music videos — something the network was founded upon but abandoned in the last decade to make room for popular reality shows like “Laguna Beach,” “The Hills” and “Jersey Shore.” “Beavis and Butt-head,” which premiered in 1993, began as an animated short called “Frog Baseball,” which aired on MTV’s “Liquid Television” … The duo was so successful they were spun off into a 1996 big-screen movie, “Beavis and Butt-head Do America” and a marketing juggernaut of T-shirts and character trinkets. A recurring character on the show, high-school classmate Daria (whom they called “Diarrhea”), eventually got her own MTV series. After MTV canceled “Beavis and Butt-head” in 1997, Judge went on to create “King of the Hill” for Fox. He also wrote the cult-classic movie comedy “Office Space” and last year’s big-screen movie “Extract.” MTV officials had no comment yesterday. Judge is “not commenting at this time,” his publicist said.

Wow, talk about a blast from the past! I totally LOVED Liquid Television … that series also gave us Aeon Flux. But Beavis & Butt-Head was truly the biggest success … it will be very cool to see the guys on MTV again. With the return of B&B will come music videos … I can’t even tell you how exciting that is for me. Ah … memories. Last week we saw photos of Blake Lively and Leighton Meester filming new scenes for the upcoming 4th season of Gossip Girl in Paris, France and today we get to see pics from the GG set which has returned home to NYC, NY. Apparently, there is Gossip to be had in the Big Apple while rain fall from above:

While I would LOVE to see these two close up their umbrellas and go at it with one another in swordplay, I doubt any such fun thing will actually happen. Ah well, it’s good to see the ladies back to work on their home turf.

On Tuesday we got our first look at the first promo video released for the upcoming 8th season of Project Runway (which begins airing on Lifetime on July 29). Today we get our first look at the cast of 17 contestants who will compete this season for the big PR prize. Say hello to the first 9 contestants:

The cast this year looks like it’s gonna skew a little younger. There are a lot of designers in their 20s, which means they will likely bring the drama to the work room. It’s easy to see from these new faces how they might remind us of past contestants but until we see them in action, we really can’t judge them with any accuracy … but it’s fun to try anyways. OMG, you are SO not ready for the cuteness ahead. Prince Harry of Wales paid a visit to the Canine Partners Training Centre in West Sussex, England which is a charitable organization that helps people with disabilities lead more independent lives with the aid of specially trained dogs. Harry posed for a few photos with one of the pups at the Canine Partners centre … behold:

Last night David and I did some errand running around town … I had a few last minute things to take care of before I pack up and leave for Paris tomorrow and he was a doll to accompany me. I managed to find the perfect case for my iPhone 4 which is rugged enough to put my OCD mind to rest about damaging my phone by dropping it. I’m not usually so crazy about protecting my phone but something about the almost all glass iPhone 4 has me particularly worried. A quick visit to our local AT&T Store resulted in my happy purchase of the iPhone 4 Ballistic HC Series Case:

Some folks have been asking me what case I use for my phone and up until now, I was using a Speck CandyShell case … but this Ballistic HC case is so cool! It’s like a tank. I know a case like this defeats the purpose of a streamlined phone but I like the industrial bulky look. This case will surely relieve my anal retentiveness … at least for now ;)

After we were finished errand running, David and I met up with our dear friend Gillian for a birthday dinner. We had the best seafood dinner at Crustacean in Beverly Hills, CA. Midway thru dinner, LL Cool J rolled in lookin’ super hot. We had a blast.

Today is my last day in LA before I fly out to Detroit tomorrow to pick up Sarah for our Paris trip. I’m excited but I still have so much to do. I can’t wait tho … Paris, here we come!

Last month we got our first look at the first teaser ad for Madonna‘s new juniors clothing line called Material Girl. It has been reported then that a series of ads would be released thruout the Summer which would give glimpses of a celebrity spokesmodel who will be the first face of the Material Girl line. A few Pink readers speculated that the celeb spokemodel might be Gossip Girl‘s Taylor Momsen based solely on the first teaser promo ad. It turns out that those readers were correct. Boy Culture blog managed to procure a new Material Girl ad that clearly states that Taylor Momsen is the model:

Based on Taylor‘s style, it’s evident that Madonna wants Material Girl to have a young but very edgy look and feel. It makes perfect sense for Momsen to model the line, she is the exact target age for Material Girl and, really, who wouldn’t want to work with Madonna on any project? What do y’all think. Next week a whole slew of exciting geeky info will be unveiled at 2010 San Diego Comic Con but the LA Times is spilling a bit of news today about 2 much-anticipated superhero films. According to the paper (and which should come as no surprise whatsoever to anyone), the Marvel films Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger will be filmed and presented in 3D. Additionally, we get to check out a new promo photo from Thor which features the God of Thunder himself (played by Chris Hemsworth) with his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and the villainous trickster god Loki (Tom Hiddleston):

It’s official: The hammer of Thor and the shield of Captain America will fly straight at moviegoers in 3-D, which is really no surprise considering the current stereoscopic craze on the studios lots of Hollywood. What is unusual is the eagerness of each film’s director to take his case for 3-D directly to the fans at Comic-Con International.‬‪ On Saturday, July24 , Marvel Studios has the final studio presentation in the expo’s biggest room, Hall H, and “Thor” director Kenneth Branagh will use that climactic slot not just to introduce some of his cast — a cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins, but its unlikely that all three will be in San Diego — but also to persuade skeptical fans that 3-D will add new dimensions to the 2011 blockbuster, and not just in the obvious way. “We came to feel that in our case 3-D could be the very good friend of story and character for a different kind of experience,” Branagh said, taking a break from post-production. The filmmaker said the terminology of the 3-D process initially made him cringe — at first, it was “math and physics and way over my head,” he said with a chuckle — but then he started to pulse with the unexpected artistic opportunities. “It’s another draft of the story that can reveal itself in a different way,” he said. “I had a healthy degree of skepticism up front … I’ve become somebody extremely excited about working with possibilities of doing it this way.”

On Sunday we learned that Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher got hitched on Saturday and on Monday we learned that the newlyweds passed thru LA on their way to their honeymoon destination. Today we get to see the happily married couple on their wedding day on the cover of the new issue of People magazine. This is what what Carrie‘s dress looked like and some deets from her Southern-style nuptials:

For her July 10 wedding to Canadian hockey player Mike Fisher, 30, the country queen, 27, opted for a Chantilly lace and silk organza Monique Lhuillier gown. But after the ceremony, the bride promptly changed into a strapless Lhuillier cocktail dress. “The wedding dress was huge,” Underwood tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue. “I wanted to get my boogie on, so I had to change.” Also looking sharp for the wedding, which was held at Georgia’s Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation resort: Underwood’s beloved pooch Ace, who donned a Swarovski crystal-encrusted pink tuxedo to trot down the aisle. “Mike was like, ‘He’s in pink! What are you doing?’ ” the newlywed singer says of Ace’s tux. “But he looked so handsome.”
