Great news, Project Runway fans! A whole new season of the show is nearly upon us and not only do we have 90 min. weekly episodes to look forward … not only do we have the companion show On the Road with Austin & Santino to look forward to … BUT NOW we learn that Selma Blair will be featured on season 8 as one of the latest celeb judges to appear on the show:

When Project Runway returns with its new 90-minute show, Heidi Klum and company will welcome another celebrity guest judge. Actress Selma Blair will join the ranks of Eva Longoria Parker, Lindsay Lohan, Christina Aguilera, Nicole Richie and Faith Hill, who had the honor of guest judging last season’s finale. “We’ve been wanting to have Selma Blair on Project Runway for a while,” executive producer Jane Cha says. “She is so chic and has great individual style.” And Blair will help make a crucial decision for the show. With 17 designers, instead of the typical 16, the first challenge of season 8 will serve as the final part of the show’s audition process. Contestants will have five hours to design a garment, using a signature piece from a competitor’s luggage. “[Blair] ended up being a perfect guest judge for our first challenge — super knowledgeable about fashion and the show, because she’s a fan,” Cha continues. “She had some hilarious observations, including a comparison to Romy and Michelle shopping buddies!” Project Runway‘s new season kicks off July 29 at a new time (9 p.m. EST) on Lifetime.

I LOVE Selma Blair (not so much on the tragic US remake of the brilliant Aussie comedy Kath & Kim) and I think she will make a great addition to the show. I don’t know about you but I still really love Project Runway and I am really excited about the show’s return. I hadn’t even realized that the season 8 premiere is just around the corner. I’m telling you, I need some new TV to watch this Summer already … Project Runway will fit the bill nicely. After the jump, check out the first promo video to be released for PR 8 …

Last weekend we saw photos from the Paris, France set of Gossip Girl which has been filming some of its 4th season in the City of Lights all last week and we got a sneak peek of what kind of drama is in store for BFF/frenemies Serena van der Woodsen (played by Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (played by Leighton Meester). Today we see that Blake has already made her way back home to NYC and was spotted with her GG co-star and real life boyfriend Penn Badgeley lookin’ all hot and heavy together in the Big Apple:

No, the couple were not filming a scene for Gossip Girl … they were just being all gropey in real life. You know, I’m actually surprised that these two are still together. I guess I had forgotten that they broke up on the show, not in real life … cuz I’m really bad at separating fact from fiction. In any event, I kinda love how into one another BlakeLey seem to be. They make a hawt couple, yeah?

GQ is about to release their annual Comedy Issue and they have made the very wise decision to put the very funny Paul Rudd on the cover. As you may recall, I recently got to watch Clueless on the big screen again for the first time since it was originally released in 1995 and altho I’ve seen the movie COUNTLESS times since its initial release, I was reminded again how great an actor Paul Rudd really is. I love GQ for putting him on the cover. The coverstory features interviews with Zach Galifianakis and Tracy Morgan as well as Mr. Coverboy Rudd … here is our first look at Paul‘s GQ cover and some excerpts from the interview with all 3 funny men:

Tracy Morgan on the importance of being uncool in order to be funny: “Cool is the enemy of funny. You can’t be cool and be funny at the same time. Only Eddie Murphy could do that.”

Tracy Morgan on making Obama funny: “Black people joke about it all the time. It’s a black family, so we make fun of it. ‘Michelle, where’s my cigarettes? I had a pack of Kools sitting on the DESTRUCT button!’ I just think that white people don’t want to offend him. Me, I make fun of every fucking body. I don’t care. I never say black humor or white humor. I never put the black race on my back.”

Zach Galifianakis on what is “never not funny”: “I think miscommunication is funny. I will never stop a conversation between two people if I’m the third party. My dad was talking to this Greek guy who was telling him about olive soap, soap made out of olives. But my dad was talking about olive soup. And my dad is like, so you put the olive soup all over your body in the shower? It was just the funniest thing.”

Zach Galifianakis on the correlation between gaining weight and his success:
“I used to be really cute. I could send you earlier photos where I’m stunning. But I’ve gained about twenty pounds over the past two years, and the more weight I’ve put on, the more success I’ve had. If you drew a diagram of weight gain and me getting more work, a mathematician would draw some conclusions from that.”

Paul Rudd on how he’d make Jay Leno’s show funnier: “Hire Conan.”

Paul Rudd on being known as funny: “I’ve never considered myself to be too much of a comedian. I’ve never considered myself to be too much of anything. I just lucked out and got to work with some really funny people, and somehow have been able to parlay it into a lot of comedies.”

Earlier today we got our first look at what is believed to be Cristiano Ronaldo‘s newborn son, whose existence was announced to the world on Facebook about 2 weeks ago, but it turns out that the child may not be Cristiano‘s son. It turns out Cristiano‘s sister gave birth to a baby earlier this year and the baby we saw earlier could be her child. In any event, Ronaldo finally decided to leave NYC and return home to Portugal to see his mother … and presumably his son. His very religious family, it turns out, is mortified that Cristiano has decided to cut the babymama out of the picture — oh the drama! CRISTIANO Ronaldo’s family were “gobsmacked” by his decision to be the sole guardian of his new baby son. The soccer star, 25, recently announced that he has become a father for the first time to a little boy, who he has named after himself. But Ronaldo’s plans to raise the boy without his mother has angered the star’s Catholic family members, according to a report in Britain’s Daily Star Sunday newspaper. “Cristiano’s family uphold very traditional Catholic values and believe firmly in the family structure,” a source said. “For them, a baby should be brought up by his mother and father. So when they found out that he would be the sole guardian, to say eyebrows were raised would be an understatement. They were gobsmacked.” Reports last week claimed Ronaldo shelled out almost $20m to the mother of his child — just so she’d keep her mouth shut. The woman in question is believed to be”a party girl” and not someone Ronaldo would “settle down” with.

Oh man, here we go. It always seemed to me that Cristiano was always lookin’ to find the level of fame that David Beckham has enjoyed for the past few years … it looks like he’s about to get a taste of what that type of fame is like. This baby story is just so out of left field, it’s no wonder everyone is interested to know more. Until Cristiano is photographed with his baby, the level of attention from the media will not let up. Maybe it would be wise for him to just take Cristiano, Jr. out for a stroll to lessen the scrutiny a bit. Oh and maybe at some point Cristiano can start wearing grown-up boy pants, hmmm?

Last Friday we learned the AMAZING news that Glee has decided to do an all Britney Spears musical episode when the show returns in the Fall with its second season. After the huge success of the Madonna episode that aired last week, fans began to rally for Glee to devote an entire episode to the fun pop music of Britney Spears. Today we get to hear from Glee creator Ryan Murphy, who spoke to TV Guide magazine, about what he’s got planned for the Britney ep. Read on …

Here’s one Glee fans should have seen coming: That upcoming Britney Spears-themed episode? It will revolve around New Directions’ own Brittany (Heather Morris). Of course! Series creator Ryan Murphy tells TVGuide.com exclusively that McKinley High’s deliciously ditzy Cheerio Brittany will be at the center of Season 2′s tribute to Spears. And it gets better. Brittany will be belting out not one, but two of the pop star’s tunes. “Heather’s actually got a terrific voice,” Murphy says. No word yet on which numbers they’ll be, but just imagine the possibilities: Brittany could sing “Boys” (because she’s hooked up with everyone, even Kurt) or “Toxic” (which could be her ode to Kurt!) Would “Oops!…I Did It Again” be too obvious? Hmm… Morris already seems sold on the idea. “I heard there’s a Britney Spears episode coming up and fingers crossed that I get to sing, because I play Brittany and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, it’s insane,’” Morris told E! Online last month.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! I am SO excited at the prospect of an episode of Glee devoted to Britney Spears, I can barely stand it. AND … AND … AND … get this … Ryan Murphy promises that the Britney ep will be the second episode of Season 2!! Brittany doing Britney … it’s beyond perfect! I am really, really excited. Woot!!!

Dina Lohan, mother of troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan (who is due to surrender to authorities by July 20 to begin serving her 90 day sentence in jail), may have rushed to her daughter’s side last week in the wake of her judicial woes but it seems that Dina is actually having the time of her life! Dina didn’t make it to LA to offer her support during her daughter’s court hearing/sentencing but she sure showed up afterward in a flurry of paparazzi flashbulbs to be by her side in the days after. It always seems to me that Dina loves the attention that she gets when she is with her very (in)famous daughter … and now that Lindsay might be going away for a bit of time, I have a feeling Dina is gonna try and step in to fill her daughter’s Hollywood “It” Girl shoes. Here are a few photos of Dina out and about this week lookin’ as happy and carefree as can be:

Mind you, her daughter is about to get her ass thrown in jail … but you wouldn’t know it from the cheeky smile on Dina‘s face. I think any normal mother would be working night and day in any way she could to try and fend for her daughter (and in Lindsay‘s case, she really needs a mother who will work to help her get better). But I suppose there’s always time for a fun trip with friends to boutiques and fast food joints all over town. You can’t tell me that Dina does not love all this attention. I bet you any money she would do just about anything to enjoy this level of attention all the time. I wouldn’t even put it past her to start wearing a SCRAM bracelet … you know, just cuz. Isn’t it sad to think that the best thing to happen to Dina Lohan‘s social life might be her daughter’s incarceration?

Late last year we started to see photos of Brad Pitt out and about with a very scruffy (some say scraggly) beard that I assumed was just the result of some much deserved downtime. But as the months progressed and the beard grew, it became clear that Brad was rockin’ the nasty-looking thing … on purpose. In March of this year, we learned that Brad‘s beard was an integral part of a film he was working on … but that didn’t do much to make the damn thing look any better. Today, it is with great pleasure, I share with all y’all new photos of a clean-shaven and once-again beardless Brad Pitt:

Brad Pitt’s unsightly beard led to speculation that the once ‘sexiest man alive’ had lost his appeal. So fans will be delighted to see that underneath the unkempt greying facial hair Pitt remains as handsome as ever. The newly clean-shaven actor was spotted filming Moneyball in Los Angeles yesterday, the first time he has been spotted since removing his unsightly beard. With his hair neatly trimmed and wearing a smart suit, smiling Pitt looked just like his old self. He plays Billy Beane, who successfully founds a baseball team, the Oakland Athletics, despite a lack of funds.

Thank you dear sweet baby Jebus! No lie, Brad‘s beard was getting so gross-looking, I was beginning to smell it — just from the photos! Don’t get me wrong, I think Brad Pitt can rock a sexy beard like nobody’s biz … but the thing that was growing on his face for the past half year was just very unsightly. He looks much better now that he’s clean-shaven and back to his usual sexy self. This is cause for celebration, y’all. Should we petition the US government for a national holiday?
