Watch: 5 Minutes Of ‘Inception’

The new Christopher Nolan film Inception, which stars half of Hollywood and is meant to tide us over until Nolan tackles the next Batman film due to be released in 2012, will not open in theaters until July 19 but right now we get to watch an entire 5 minutes of the film! Isn’t that exciting? Well, not really but if you’re chomping at the bit for any bit of Inception info leading up to the film’s release next week then here you go:

Christopher Nolan’s Inception may not come out in theaters for another week, but it’s already gotten great reviews, and its mysterious plot has generated plenty of buzz. Now you can see some of the film yourself thanks to a five minute segment of clips courtesy of Adictoalfilm … Inception opens July 16th. Get details on its viral campaign at the Inception Viral Page.

To be honest, I’m not really sure what the hell this movie is about … but considering that it is a Christopher Nolan film, I’ll be seeing it for sure. The only drawback for me is that Leonardo DiCaprio is the star and I’m not a huge fan of his. But, I will be seeing this movie nonetheless. After all, this 5 minute clip looks pretty damn good. Check it out in full, after the jump …

‘[REC]’s In Effect

Yesterday afternoon David and I tagged along with Emma and Josh to a pool party at their friend Brian Graden’s home in the Hollywood Hills. As you might imagine from a West Hollywood pool party, there was a plethora of naked man flesh on display in various states of undress. It’s a shame I was too bizzy schmoozing with my friends otherwise I could’ve taken photos of all the speedo-clad hard bodies that were all over the place. Ah, such is life.

After the party, David and I went to the Laemmle Sunset 5 to see the film [REC] 2, the follow-up to the horrifying Spanish thriller [REC] from 2007:

I got to see the original Spanish film [REC] back in the Summer of 2008 and then the American remake Quarantine which came out in Fall ’08. I loved both but much-preferred the original Spanish film. I was really excited to hear that we would be getting the original version of [REC] 2. The film picks up 15 minutes after the end of the first film and the action gets started right away. Just like the first film, [REC] 2 is a frantic, fast-paced thriller that doesn’t really let up very often and is over before you know it. The directors have said that they want these films to be like punk songs … fast, hard and quick. I think that analogy applies. This sequel film explains what exactly the cause of the infection is and the main characters try to keep it from escaping the apartment building. While some may scoff at the true nature of the illness (which I won’t reveal so as not to spoil the film), I thought it was a clever development. The movie is creepy, very scary and a lot of gross fun. If you liked [REC] or the American remake Quarantine then you’ll prolly enjoy [REC] 2 as well. I know I did :D

Toinght, I’m hanging out with a small group of friends for an early birthday celebration. My big day isn’t until tomorrow but we thought it best to convene tonight ;) Happy Sunday!!

Hot Dude Of The Week: Ivan Scannell

‘Tis time again to say hello to the Hot Dude of the Week … who was photographed by David Vance in a provocative nude series of photographs. Of course, Hot Dudes don’t need to be nekkid in order to be hot … but it helps ;) Say hello to Ivan Scannell:

Yes, there are other more revealing photos of Ivan (which are very nice to see, I can assure you) but as you can tell from this photo, Ivan‘s Hot Dudeness is clearly evident without having to show everything. While I can’t argue that seeing everything is fun sometimes, I think more subtle photos are fun too :) Enjoy!!

Ed Westwick Brings The Chuck Bass Charm To Paris, France

Last week we learned that Ed Westwick has made his way to Paris, France to film scenes for the upcoming 4th season of Gossip Girl. Last Tuesday, he was spotted on set with French actress Clémence Poesy (who played Fleur Delacour in 2005′s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and today we see a couple more photos of Ed and Clémence filming what will undoubtedly be drama-filled scenes for GG:

Yes, things don’t seem to be all that dramatic in this photo but there is one other I’d like to share that might prove a bit spoilery. Check it out if you dare, after the jump …

Edward Norton Fired As The Hulk, Will Not Appear In ‘The Avengers’

Back in April we learned the amazingly FANTASTIC news that director (and god among men) Joss Whedon has been hired to bring the Marvel comic book series The Avengers to the big screen and since that news came out, there has been some behind the scenes action in regards to who will be cast to play which superheroes in the film. Thus far, we know that Robert Downey, Jr. will reprise his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man for the film and he will be joined by Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America. Today we learn the not totally surprising news that Edward Norton, who played Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk will NOT be featured in The Avengers movie — a new actor will be hired for the role. Essentially, the studio decided not to work with him again … hinting that he is too problematic to work with:

As HitFix exclusively reported yesterday, Marvel Studios has now confirmed that it is moving forward on development with their summer 2012 blockbuster “The Avengers,” and they have decided not to cast Edward Norton in the key role of Bruce Banner, aka The Incredible Hulk. In a statement sent in direct response to yesterday’s story from the set of “Captain America” in London, Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige forwarded the following exclusively to HitFix:

“We have made the decision to not bring Ed Norton back to portray the title role of Bruce Banner in the Avengers. Our decision is definitely not one based on monetary factors, but instead rooted in the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members. The Avengers demands players who thrive working as part of an ensemble, as evidenced by Robert, Chris H, Chris E, Sam, Scarlett, and all of our talented casts. We are looking to announce a name actor who fulfills these requirements, and is passionate about the iconic role in the coming weeks.”

And that, as they say, appears to be that.

From what I understand, Edward Norton is notoriously difficult to work with … especially when it comes to the Hulk movies. Earlier this year, Edward put the kibosh on plans for a sequel to The Incredible Hulk … which I’m sure pissed off the studio because another Hulk movie could’ve been tied into The Avengers movie. I suppose it’s possible that the studio could go back and rehire Eric Bana who played The Hulk in the disastrous 2003 Ang Lee film Hulk — at least the audience would get a recognizable actor to play the role. Tho, it seems more likely that they will just hire someone new … someone who would be willing to make a new franchise of Hulk films. Welp, it’s goodbye Ed and hello new guy … we’ll just have to wait and see who the new guy will be.

Lindsay Lohan SCRAMs For A New Lawyer

After attorney Shawn Chapman Holley decided to bail and quit as Lindsay Lohan‘s attorney (just a couple of days after Lindsay was sentenced last Tuesday to spend 90 days in jail plus 90 days in rehab for violating the terms of her probation stemming from her 2007 DUI conviction), L. Lo has been lookin’ for a new attorney to represent her in order to try and get her out of having to actually serve out her jail sentence. TMZ reports that Lindsay has hired a Chicago legal eagle named Stuart V. Goldberg but RadarOnline insists that Goldberg has not yet been hired … and notes that he isn’t even a member of the California Bar Association (which would mean he cannot practice law in the State of California). In any event, Lindsay was snapped making her way into an office building yesterday to meet with Goldberg to discuss the possibility that he might represent her. Here are the reports from TMZ and RadarOnline (respectively) about Lindsay‘s search for a new lawyer:

Lindsay Lohan has a new lawyer on her side and from the sound of things … he plans on kicking butt and taking names. We caught up with Stuart V. Goldberg in Los Angeles this afternoon where he told us he’s “here to help” Lindsay. As for strategy, he told us, “Instead of making her reactive, like a pin cushion, [we're going] to be proactive. We’re gonna go after them.” Goldberg also made it clear he doesn’t like the idea of jail time for Lindsay.

Despite rumors to the contrary, Chicago lawyer Stuart V. Goldberg has not been hired to represent Lindsay Lohan, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report. “Stuart Goldberg is not Lindsay’s new attorney,” Lohan’s New York legal rep Stephanie Ovadia tells us. Ovadia, a highly-regarded New York attorney who is representing Lindsay in her lawsuit against E*Trade, adds that “no attorney has been chosen as of now. “The family is still in the process of interviewing.” The news may come as a surprise to Goldberg, whose rep sent RadarOnline.com a statement that Lindsay and her mother “hired Stuart V. Goldberg as her new attorney” after a meeting Friday night. Goldberg, who is also a screenwriter and fiction-writer, is not a member of the California Bar Association, according to a search of the organization’s website.

Now, it’s possible that Lindsay has decided to hire Goldberg since her other lawyer denied that she did. My guess is that she did hire this new guy to represent her, that is if it turns out he is able to practice law here in California. I bet Lindsay likes Goldberg‘s feisty “let’s go get ‘em” attitude … which I’m sure Judge Marsha Revel will also LOVE. After the jump, check out a photo of Lindsay‘s new lawyer — trust me, you’ll be glad that you did …

They got married in Southern style, y'all!
Carrie Underwood & Mike Fisher Got Hitched!

Congratulations are in order today for singer Carrie Underwood and hockey player Mike Fisher who also got married yesterday afternoon in a fairly quite but not at all secret wedding ceremony in Greensborough, GA. While Emily Blunt and John Krasinski‘s nuptials came as a bit of a surprise yesterday, we all knew that Carrie and Mike were tying the knot this weekend at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge in Greensboro. So, yeah, Carrie and Mike got hitched, too!

Under a tent on a Southern evening, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher shared what their wedding planner called “a spiritual expression of their love” – a special moment for a “very special couple.” The country star, 27, and her hockey player beau, 30, tied the knot at a luxury resort Saturday before 250 friends and family in a ceremony featuring classical music and the couple’s favorite Bible readings. “We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!” the newlyweds told PEOPLE in a statement, signing their names “Mike & Carrie Fisher.” Underwood wore a Chantilly lace dress created for her by Monique Lhuillier, who also designed the bridesmaids’ dresses. Fisher, who plays for the Ottawa Senators, was engaged to Underwood on Dec. 20, after quietly dating for about a year.

Oh yeah, these two sound PERFECT for one another. Ever since Carrie and Mike started dating, you kinda knew that they were on the marriage track. 1 year of dating leads to engagement which leads 7 months later to marriage which will lead to, I’m gonna guess, a baby in about 9ish months. It don’t get more perfect than that. After the jump, if you are so interested, you can check out the massive outdoor party tent that was erected earlier this week for Carrie and Mike‘s wedding …

The couple said their 'I Do's in Italy
Emily Blunt & John Krasinski Got Hitched!

Congratulations are in order for longtime couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski because the pair got themselves married in a secret wedding ceremony at Villa D’este in Como, Italy yesterday afternoon! We knew that the couple were engaged to be wed but there was no hint that they were planning to get married this weekend. But they went and did it … they got hitched, y’all!

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski wed at the Villa D’este in Como, Italy, UsMagazine.com has confirmed. “John and Emily were married on Saturday in a private ceremony,” Krasinski’s rep tells Us. Blunt wore a custom cream chiffon sweetheart draped Marchesa gown with embroidered detail. “It was an outdoor ceremony and absolutely beautiful,” says an insider. George Clooney and Italian girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis were in attendance; Blunt and Krasinski had been staying at Clooney’s nearby Lake Como estate since the July 4th weekend. “It was an official ceremony. They are husband and wife,” adds the source. After about a year of dating, The Office star Krasinski, 30, proposed to British actress Blunt, 27, with a 3-carat Edwardian diamond and platinum ring from Neil Lane, worth $100,000. Krasinski told Access Hollywood that the proposal was “very casual” but very emotional, too. “She did cry after I cried, and we cried and then everyone around us was crying,” he said. “She’s a wonderful girl,” Krasinski gushed at last year’s Emmys of his fiancee.

Sneaky, sneaky … but they did manage to pull off their private nuptials very successfully. Considering how private this couple is, it’s entirely possible that we may not get to see any photos from their wedding ceremony. That being said, they might just as easily join the trend of celebs selling wedding snaps to make a few bucks. But, whether or not we get to see the photos, I’m certain the ceremony was lovely and I wish nothing but the best for the happily wedded couple! May they live a very long and very happy life of married bliss together!
