Who wants to spend all of 2011 with Betty?
Betty White Is A Hot New Pin-Up Girl

Betty White, Hollywood’s beloved new “It” Girl, is releasing her first-ever calendar and today we get our first look at what’s in store. The 2011 Betty White Calendar will go on sale in September and proceeds from its sale will benefit the The Morris Animal Foundation. Here is our first look at this hot new calendar:

The 88-year-old Betty White will be available all year long with THE BETTY WHITE CALENDAR, a 24/7 tribute to one of America’s most beloved actresses, comediennes, and winner of multiple Emmy Awards. From her new hit television comedy – Hot in Cleveland (TV Land) – to her #1 Super Bowl commercial (Snickers) with the not-dead Abe Vigoda – Betty is classy, earthy and unassuming . She’s also got a fantastic sense of humor about herself – and that’s our idea of a centerfold! The last surviving member of The Golden Girls cast – Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty died between 2008 to 2010 – Betty White has also starred on Life with Elizabeth, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and The Carol Burnett Show as well as Mama’s Family, That 70s Show, Boston Legal and Malcolm in the Middle. Deemed the “First Lady of Game Shows” by the entertainment press, Betty appeared on What’s My Line?, To Tell the Truth, I’ve Got a Secret, Match Game, and Password, among others, in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Earlier this year, Betty hosted Saturday Night Live after a grassroots Facebook campaign called “Betty White to Host SNL (Please)” attracted 500,000 fans and Betty became their oldest host ever. Ratings were SNL’s highest since 2008 and a show hosted by Ben Affleck. The Betty White Calendar 2011 is priced at $12.99 and will go on sale in September. Betty White has dedicated herself to improving the lives of animals and this calendar is no exception: All of Ms. White’s proceeds will benefit The Morris Animal Foundation based in Denver, Colorado. www.morrisanimalfoundation.org

OMG, how much do I love this? A year full of Betty White surrounded by hot, half-nekkid men. Does it even get more perfect than that? After the jump, check out one of the photos that will be featured in The Betty White Calendar

Michael Lohan Cries Then Celebrates After Lindsay Lohan’s Sentencing

Michael Lohan, father of Lindsay Lohan who has sworn to do everything in his power to aid his troubled daughter, was snapped in a tearful state as he left the Beverly Hills courthouse after his daughter was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab. But after he made an appearance on Larry King Live (Daddy Lohan has never met a media outlet interested in giving him the time of day that he doesn’t LOVE), he was spied laughing, celebrating and partying the night away … just the kind of behavior you might expect from Michael Lohan:

He looked suitably tearful outside court after his daughter Lindsay was jailed for 90 days yesterday afternoon. But Michael Lohan’s gloom didn’t last long. Just hours later he was seen laughing and joking while surrounded by a bevy of ladies at one of Los Angeles’ wildest bars. Michael, 50, was spotted at the cowboy-themed Saddle Ranch bar on L.A.’s Sunset Strip where he enjoyed their ‘All-You-Can-Eat Rib Night .’ He told TMZ he was going to call Lindsay from inside the bar, explaining he was there to ‘relax.’ He was later seen mixing with ‘fans’ and posing for photos. Earlier, Michael told Larry King on TV show Larry King Live that he felt ‘dismay’ at the news that his 24-year-old daughter was headed for jail.

I mean … yeah. This is the man who raised Lindsay Lohan to become the tragic mess she’s become. If I feel any true pity for Lindsay, it’s for the parents she’s been saddled with. Yes, she is responsible for her own actions but … can you imagine what her life would be like if she had been blessed with other, less fame-hungry parents?

Jason Momoa Will Get Bloody & Wet In ‘Conan The Barbarian’

Last month we got to feast our eyes on the first official promo photo released of Jason Momoa in the upcoming remake film Conan the Barbarian. Today we get to check out a new promo photo that was published in a Spanish magazine and shows the new Conan in action mode … wet, half-nekkid action mode:

At this point, I don’t even care if this Conan remake will be a good movie or not … I think the promo images we’ve seen thus far have worked their magic on me in such a way that I MUST see the movie when it opens in theaters. I mean, it could be good. Hell, good or not, we know Momoa will be lookin’ like this for most of the film … yeah, I’ll be there for sure.

"I feel sad for someone who has never known love."
Angelina Jolie Does ‘Parade’ Magazine

Angelina Jolie, who appears in the Summer spy thriller Salt, is featured on the cover and in the pages of Parade magazine (the issue included in the July 11 edition of the Sunday newspaper). In her coverstory interview, Ange opens up about her family, her love for Brad Pitt and her happiness being a homebody. Here is our first look at Angelina‘s new Parade cover and some excerpts from the interview:

On knowing love: “I feel sad for someone who has never known love. Love elevates. You know, Brad would joke about me having this conversation about love. Love? It’s such a funny word. Brad can find certain phrases of poetry for it. I’m terrible at it. But I know it means wanting the best for the people you love, putting their interests above your own, always. Love does that. Love is what you live for.”

On her rebellious past: “I used to cut myself or jump out of airplanes, trying to find something new to push up against because sometimes everything else felt too easy. I was searching for something deeper, something more. I tried everything. I always felt caged, closed in, like I was punching at things that weren’t there. I always had too much energy for the room I was in.”

On the unrelenting media circus, the paparazzi: “We do everything we can to keep our kids away from it. We travel to places where the kids aren’t aware of that kind of thing. We try to give them a full life where they don’t have to come face to face with that world. With the paparazzi present, we’re careful when we leave the house. Other than that…” She laughs at the absurdity of it all. “We don’t stand in the checkout line at the grocery store looking at the magazines. Our friends don’t tell us about it. And our kids don’t know. I feel if we keep looking out for them, they’ll be fine.”

On balancing work and children with Brad: “He takes the kids to school; he visits me on set with the kids. I’m home for dinner, or I’m there for breakfast. We’re together all the time. We plan. Brad and I take time off between films to travel, have big experiences, do things together. That’s how we work it out.”

On being a happy homebody: “There’s never a period when Brad and I are pulled apart. We are not separated for more than three days, ever. We stay really connected. We actually don’t go out much. It’s funny. We’re very homebound. We’re very much Mommy and Daddy in our pajamas.”

It’s crazy how relatively normal the life of Brangelina sounds. They are arguably the most famous family in the world and yet, they really seem to be as down to Earth as possible. Now, of course they enjoy unimaginable wealth and luxury but I believe Angelina when she says that she likes to enjoy the simpler things in life. She seems crazy in love with Brad and really happy in her role as a mother … it’s really great to hear. I’m still on the fence about Salt … I’m not sure if I’ll see it in theaters but I’m sure it’ll be another big hit for Santa Angelina. Are any of y’all planning to see Salt? What do YOU think of this interview?

The new DILF on the block
Cristiano Ronaldo Hits The Pool In Steamy NYC

Yesterday we learned that professional soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo made his way to NYC just days after he announced to the world that he is a new father to a child born of a surrogate mother. Today we get to see what Cristiano has been getting up to during his stay in NYC. Actually, we get to see what he’s stripped down to … here are a few photos of Cristiano cooling down in the roof pool of SoHo House:

Despite the fact that Cristiano is the new celebrity spokesman for Emporio Armani, he stripped down to his teeny Gucci bathing suit for this poolside outing. I mean, I don’t mind what teeny bathing suit he likes to wear … I just think the folks at Armani who pay him millions to promote their clothes might mind a little bit. I find it a bit odd that this proud new father is spending so much time in NYC away from his newborn child who is reportedly back at his home in Portugal. I would think that since he allegedly wanted to become a father so desperately that he paid off a surrogate so that he could have sole custody that he would, oh I dunno, want to be with the child. There are rumors going around that he paid about $20 million in order to get sole custody of the child AND for the mother to keep quiet … for that amount of money, I’d think I’d rather be with my investment child rather than hanging out in NYC. Again, I really have no cause for complaints where these photos are concerned … he does look good all wet and mostly nekkid. I just find his behavior as a new father extremely odd … yet hawt.

The TV Guide
‘Diamonds’ In The Rough

Last night I met up with my friends Ollie and Caleb for a quick bite to eat at Barney’s Beanery in West Hollywood, CA before we made our way to the Troubadour to see Marina and the Diamonds live in concert. Ollie is the one who got me into Marina‘s music so we were all very excited to see her LA debut performance. The show was a pared down version of her normal full band set-up and while Marina‘s performance was a bit green, it was plainly obvious to everyone in the venue that she is a hugely talented young singer with an absolutely stunning voice:

Marina came out on stage wearing day-glo lipstick that prolly sounded like a good idea in theory but didn’t really work under all the blue lights inside the Troubadour. The glowy lips made her look a bit like David Lee Roth, an image I couldn’t get out of my head all night long. Thankfully her singing was more than enough to keep me entertained. I absolutely love her voice and her songs are really smart, really witty. I wish she would’ve had her full band with her because the support players she had with her didn’t really do her songs justice. For a first LA show, she did a great job … but she will be returning to LA in September with her full band and I am really anxious to see her live again. Marina and the Diamonds have a big future ahead of them, this was a nice first step toward that future. After the jump, check out a couple of fan-shot videos from the show last night for a taste of what the show was like …

Sony Officially Announces Andrew Garfield As The New Spider-Man

Last weekend we heard the news that relative newcomer Andrew Garfield, who starred in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and will star in the upcoming David Fincher film The Social Network later this year, has been cast as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the upcoming reboot of the Spider-Man movie franchise. Sony Pictures threw a huge event in Mexico City to officially announce Andrew as the new Spidey … here are a couple of photos from the event and the official press release announcement:

After a comprehensive worldwide casting search, Andrew Garfield has been chosen to portray Peter Parker when Spider-Man swings back onto the screen in 3D on July 3, 2012. The new film will begin production in early December directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt. Laura Ziskin and Avi Arad will produce the film from Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios. Today’s confirmation culminates what has been one of the most eagerly anticipated casting announcements in recent memory. Bloggers, pop culture speculators, and everyday fans have pored over and analyzed every conceivable online rumor in an attempt to discover the identity of the next actor to play Peter Parker. Garfield will immediately begin preparing for the coveted role. The Spider-Man franchise is one of the most successful in film history and the three previous motion pictures have collectively grossed more than $2.5 billion in worldwide box office. On selecting Garfield, director Marc Webb said, “Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor’s work understand his extraordinary talents. He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit, and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker.” Commenting on the announcement, Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Matt Tolmach, President of Columbia Pictures said, “Spider-Man is a classic superhero — a young man who balances his responsibility to serve humanity and crush evil with the shyness and normalcy of someone struggling to find himself. The role demands an extraordinary actor. You need someone who can magically transform himself from Peter Parker into Spider-Man. An actor who will depict the vulnerability of youth and the strength and confidence of a legendary figure at the same moment. We have found that actor in Andrew Garfield. From the first time we saw him in the upcoming film The Social Network, to his glorious screen test, which floored all of us, we knew that we had found our new Peter Parker.” Producer Avi Arad added, “I’m incredibly excited about Andrew Garfield. In the Spider-Man tradition, we were looking for a smart, sensitive, and cool new Peter Parker who can inspire us and make us laugh, cry, and cheer. We believe we have found the perfect choice to take on this role and lead us into the future.” Producer Laura Ziskin said, “We are thrilled to have Andrew Garfield for this new incarnation of Spider-Man under Marc Webb’s direction. We were fortunate enough to meet with a group of fantastically talented young men. In the end, we all agreed that in addition to being an extraordinary actor, Andrew had the right mix of humor, youth, and pathos, along with an underlying sense of strength and power necessary to bring Peter Parker and Spider-Man to life on screen.” The selection of Garfield was revealed at a press event in Cancun, Mexico for international journalists attending a media tour promoting upcoming films from Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Again, I personally feel that it is far too soon for Sony to be rebooting the Spider-Man movie franchise. I enjoyed the first 3 films starring Tobey Maguire (some more than others) and still regard him as Spider-Man in my eye. I just don’t understand why Sony feels the need to make a new batch of movies so soon after the last batch of movies were released. To be honest, it sounds like they don’t even have the kind of money to make a new franchise of films. They couldn’t rehire the actors they already had because they couldn’t afford them, they couldn’t rehire the original director because they couldn’t afford him and rumor has it they are only paying Garfield $500,000 for the first Spider-Man movie. Trust me, I know that that is not chump change but half a million sounds like a bargain for Sony when you consider that Tobey was making a few million per Spider-Man movie. Am I excited about these new movies? Not really. Will I see them, probably. I dunno … this just seems like a huge misstep. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Dakota Fanning Does ‘Marie Claire’ Magazine

Dakota Fanning, who currently stars in the sequel film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Marie Claire magazine. In her coverstory interview, Dakota opens up about her work in The Runaways and in Twilight and addresses the way that audiences see her in these films. Here is our first look at Dakota‘s MC coverphoto and some excerpts from the coverstory article:

All in a moment, Fanning went from being an adorable if talented “child star” to the full-fledged genuine article, and critics took notice. Reviewing The Runaways in The New York Times, A.O. Scott gushed: “Ms. Fanning, who has shown herself a remarkably disciplined and self-aware actress almost since toddlerhood, displays heartbreaking vulnerability as well as frightening poise.” The Denver Post called her performance “uncorked.” The message was unmistakable: She had popped … One lasting friendship to emerge from the experience was with Kristen Stewart, the 20-year-old Twilight lead who played Joan Jett to Fanning’s Currie. According to both young women, re-enacting the intimate friendship between Jett and Currie brought them close instantly, and a mutual respect has kept them that way. “Dakota is so unfaultingly steady,” Stewart says. “In most cases, I feel like she’s older than me. It’s only when she starts talking about boys that I remember how young she is.” (No, Fanning doesn’t have a boyfriend. So far, she says, there has been “nothing serious.”) The two, who briefly shared the screen in Twilight: New Moon, reunited in this summer’s Eclipse, the third installment of the series, with Fanning reprising her role as a diminutive child vampire in a long cape and Mary Janes … Sixteen is an age of ambivalence, a time of lingering on the threshold of adulthood with one foot safely in the realm of childhood. Some of Fanning’s recent choices seem calculated to project the message that she is no longer the wise child who debuted opposite Sean Penn’s mentally disabled character in I Am Sam when she was 6 … To her astonishment, people seemed not to be able to distinguish between the real Dakota Fanning, then 13, and her character on-screen. “When you start out young, people get really attached to who you are at 6 years old,” Fanning says. “I hope that The Runaways was kind of a moment to be like, ‘You know, I’m not that young little girl anymore, but I’m still not all grown up, either.’” There is a deliberate, patient rhythm to her ambition; right now she’s looking for a project to do with her sister, who’s 12 and is about to appear in Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere, due out later this year. Fanning is on the brink, and she knows it … “As you get older, there’s so much more that you can do in films,” she says. “I’ve never wanted to rush that; I’ve always wanted to do what’s right for my age, but as you approach 18, a whole new world opens up to you as an actor, and I really look forward to that.”

IMHO, not only is Dakota hugely talented but she is also a very bright young woman. When you see someone like Lindsay Lohan, who could’ve been a huge success had she not pissed away every chance she got with her reckless and irresponsible behavior, and then you see Dakota Fanning in comparison you can understand that not every child star succumbs to “dangers of Hollywood”. It is a pleasure to watch Dakota grow up and continue to find success with each new project. At such a young age, the sky is the limit … she seems smart enough to understand that and take full advantage of the opportunities that come her way. After the jump, check out one more photo from Dakota‘s new Marie Claire photoshoot …

The Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green Wedding Photos Hit The Internets

Last week we learned that happy news that Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green got hitched in a small wedding ceremony in Hawaii and today we get our first look at the wedding photos from the secret nuptials. Here are a few screencaps from a video report on the snaps from Entertainment Tonight along with some deets about the ceremony from People magazine:

Yes, she wore a white wedding dress – and it was Armani! Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green were married in an intimate, sunset ceremony June 24 on the beach in Hawaii, with the actor’s son, Kassius, 8, their only witness. The actress, 24, walked down the sandy aisle to meet her groom outside the Four Seasons in Ka’upulehu, and they were wed by a local kahuna, a Hawaiian priest. Kassius (whose mother is Green’s ex, Vanessa Marcil) was also the groom’s best man, and sported a jade bracelet blessed with ocean water. Fox’s Armani Privé gown featured a 16-ft. train. Her husband also wore an all-white Emporio Armani ensemble for the ceremony. “They were beyond happy, and they seemed so comfortable,” a friend of the couple’s tells PEOPLE. “They decided a long time ago that they belonged with each other.”

I LOVE that the ceremony was a tiny one … Brian‘s son Kassius Lijah looks so cute in these photos … they all look really happy. It was touch and go with these two for a while but they do truly seem to love one another madly. I’m really so happy for them both. After the jump, check out the video report from ET to see a bit more from Megan and Brian‘s wedding …
