Earlier today we learned that Lindsay Lohan appeared in court today to answer charges that she failed to comply with the probation sentence handed to her after she was convicted of DUI back in 2007. Lindsay‘s lawyer tried to convince the court that she has been in compliance and Lindsay herself spoke on her own behalf … crying all the while:

Long story short, the judge was not impressed with Lindsay‘s contention that she was in compliance with the order and rattled off a laundry list of all the things Lindsay did that were NOT in compliance. In the end, the judge ruled that Lindsay was in violation of her probation and sentenced her to serve 90 days in jail:

She has until July 20 to surrender and begin serving her jail time. Upon release when she finishes her term, she will then have to surrender to the probation office to begin serving a 90 inpatient rehab program:

It sounds to me like Judge Marsha Revel, who has been adjudicating this case, is not playing around. I do not believe that Lindsay will only serve an hour of jailtime and then will be released. She is going to jail … for much if not all of those 90 days.

A couple of weeks ago we got our first look at the first image from the upcoming Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2010-2011 ad campaign featuring celeb spokesmodel Madonna and today we get to see a whole slew of new photos from that campaign … check ‘em out:

She is one of the most famous Italian Americans in the world. And now, Madonna is going back to her roots with a new set of stunning black and white shots for a new Dolce and Gabbana advertising campaign. One new photo sees the star in the unlikely guise of farm girl as she holds chickens alongside a male model, whilst showing off her curves in a low cut dress and cardigan. Another shot shows the star looking glam in jacket, corset and patterned black tights alongside an Italian mother figure who is clad in apron and headscarf. Madonna, looking much younger than her 51 years, is also seen lying on a bed holding a baby, and laughing alongside a big Italian family, not unlike her own in real life. Her dad, Silvio Anthony Ciccone, is a first generation Italian/American and she is the third of six children. The shots form part of the campaign for the Italian designer duo’s autumn/winter collection. Earlier this year, Madonna also appeared in a series of sexy housewife poses for the fashion house’s spring summer campaign which showed her hanging up laundry and sweeping the kitchen. The singer struck up a friendship with the Stefano Dolce and Domenico Gabbana while she was filming Dick Tracy in the early Nineties and they were invited to design her costumes for The Girlie Show tour in 1993.

Yes, I do love the Italian family vibe of this campaign but Madonna‘s pale pallor really makes her stick out in these photos. It’s like, one of these things is not like the other … instead of a regular member of this family, she looks like the distant American cousin who shows up on holiday one in a blue moon. Early last week we got our first look at Neve Campbell on the Michigan set of Scream 4 on the first day of principal filming production and today we get our first look at co-star Hayden Panettiere on set as well. Woodworth Middle School in Dearborn, MI has been transformed into Woodsboro High School for the film and Hayden was spied on set filming new scenes over the weekend … behold:

Hayden Panettiere has been finally pictured on the set of the movie. Donning a black jacket matched with a short skirt and stockings, the former “Heroes” beauty was seen filming the scene set at Woodsboro High School. During the production in early this month, Panettiere was accompanied by another new cast member Emma Roberts. The blond star was later expected to resume filming the fourth “Scream” movie on July 5 at Woodworth Middle School in Ternes St Dearborn, MI which is converted into Woodsboro High School for the production. In the latest installment of “Scream” film series, Hayden Panettiere is cast as a nerdy film geek who is a best friend of Jill, played by Emma Roberts. Original cast members including Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette return to the upcoming movie to reprise their roles as Sidney Prescott, Gale and Dewey respectively. Director of the previous three “Scream” films, Wes Craven, still tackles the helming duty for the new project, which is slated to arrive in the U.S. on April 15, 2011. As of late, it has been reported that Ehren Kruger is hired to polish the script written by Kevin Williamson.

Woot!! I just LOVE that Scream is filming in Metro Detroit. We know that some scenes are being filmed in Ann Arbor and now we know that other scenes are being filmed in Dearborn … right near where my parents live. Over the weekend the Detroit Free Press also reported that some scenes featuring Courteney Cox-Arqette and David Arquette have been filmed in a new bookstore in Northville. Ironically (and perfectly) the bookstore is called The Next Chapter. I hope we get to see more photos from the Metro Detroit set of Scream 4 … and I cannot WAIT to see the film in theaters. It’ll be really amazing to see my hometown featured in one of my fave movie franchises.

Libidinous lovebirds Sienna Miller and Jude Law were forced to tear themselves away from one another this weekend before Jude was due to make his way to the Czech Republic to attend a film festival and Sienna was due to make her way here to SoCal. When the time to say goodbye was upon them, the couple locked lips and lovingly kissed goodbye without a single care as to who was watching:

Gone are the days of sneaking around, JuSie are clearly very happy to show the world how much they lurve one another. I suspect wedding rumors will start up soon … then perhaps pregnancy rumors. I have the sneaking suspicion that Jude and Sienna are going to make a serious go at their relationship this time around. I’m certain Jude learned his lesson about cheating (well, let’s just assume that he has) and could likely make an honest woman out of Sienna. Over the weekend we got our first look at actresses Blake Lively and Leighton Meester filming the first scenes of the upcoming fourth season of the hit CW TV series Gossip Girl in Paris, France and today we learn that actor Ed Westwick has joined the Parisian party. Joined by French actress Clémence Poesy, Westwick was spotted on the streets of Paris with co-star Blake Lively on the second day of season 4 production:

Now that Chuck is on the scene, it looks like things are going to get quite dramatic on Gossip Girl. Those of us who watched the end of season 3 know that he and Blair (played by Meester) ended things on an unhappy note. Now that Chuck is in town with a hot new chick, Blair is sure to take notice. It remains to be seen if any other GG characters will be showing up in Paris but it’ll be fun to watch and see .

Over the weekend, soccer stud Cristiano Ronaldo made the shocking announcement that he fathered a child via surrogate mother and has made the decision to raise the child on his own (well, with his mother’s help). Shortly thereafter, it was rumored that the babymama/surrogate was an American woman and that the whole baby thing was a complete surprise to Ronaldo‘s Russian girlfriend Irina Shayk (below, in yellow). Today we learn that Cristiano and Irina have made their way to NYC, NY in order to try and repair their relationship … and possibly be closer to the babymama’s home?

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Russian underwear model girlfriend puts on her best poker face as she steps out for lunch with the footballer following news of his shock fatherhood. The Portuguese star is said to have paid a surrogate mother to have his son – an American woman who asked not to be identified. Ronaldo’s new girlfriend Irina Shayk, 24, was initially reported to be devastated about the news. According to a Facebook page in her name, she knew nothing of the birth and had been left in tears by her boyfriend’s announcement. A spokesman for Miss Shayk later denied she had said anything of the sort, and said the Facebook page was a fake. The couple enjoyed a day out together in new York City on Sunday. ‘They’re trying to create a relationship,’ the spokesman added. But yesterday, wearing a summery yellow dress, Irina was accompanied by a friend as she joined Ronaldo for lunch at Da Silvano Restaurant in New York’s Greenwich Village. The women then left together with Ronaldo staying inside the eatery until they had gone. The £180,0000-a-week footballer said he was to have sole custody of the child. After Ronaldo, 25, made the announcement on his website over the weekend it was claimed the baby was born as a result of a fling, and the woman had been paid to stay anonymous. But Portuguese newspaper Diario de Noticias has now claimed the baby was conceived with a surrogate mother at the end of last summer in San Diego, where the Real Madrid star was on holiday. A spokesman for Ronaldo’s management company Gestifute confirmed he had become a father but refused to comment on the surrogacy claims.

I’m sorry but I simply cannot believe that a 25 year old professional athlete made the conscious decision to father a child on his own with a surrogate mother … I mean, it’s possible but very highly unlikely. I tend to believe the baby was born as a result of a romantic liaison and Cristiano paid off the mother to save as much face as possible and gain control of the whole situation. I also believe that his girlfriend Irina was blindsided and hurt by the news … but loves him enough to stay with him (for whatever reason). This whole story is so strange … but if Cristiano is smart, he’ll stick to the party line he’s been peddling and will just keep his head down until this story dies down. He’s a father now, his first priority should be to his son. I personally think his time would be better spent at home with his newborn child rather than in NYC with his model girlfriend.

Yesterday afternoon, David and I met up with our friends Emma and Josh for a showing of the new documentary film Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work. I had been hearing really great things about the movie but, in all honest, my interest level wasn’t all that high. But yesterday, I got talked into seeing and I gotta say … I was completely blown away:

I was under the erroneous belief that I knew all that there was to know about Joan Rivers and while I know of her, I wasn’t really too interested in learning more. I couldn’t have been more wrong … Joan Rivers is not only an iconic comic who paved the way for the Kathy Griffins of the world but she is a strong survivor with a work ethic that is completely impressive. This doc taught me so much about her life, her storied and fascinating life. I had no idea she was blackballed at NBC after a falling out with Johnny Carson in the 80′s. I had no idea that Joan was such a hard, such a talented worker. I was just entirely impressed by everything about her. My favorite parts of the doc were the ones that showed Joan‘s vulnerable parts. She is much more lovable after seeing this film. I absolutely recommend this movie to all … it’s really fantastic. Much like The Eyes of Tammy Faye truly enlightened the late Tammy Faye Baker, Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work sheds new light on the life of Joan Rivers that you may think you know … but don’t really.

After the movie, we met up with Emma and Josh’s friend Guy for dinner at Vegan Glory and then dessert and drinks at Luna Park:

I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Pink reader Jasmin at Luna Park … she was such a doll and is now my fave new LA waitress. We had a lot of silly fun last night, the perfect way to end the long 4th of July weekend.

Tonight, I’m meeting up with Ollie and Caleb to see Marina and the Diamonds at the Troubadour. It should be an amazing show! I cannot wait … I’ll be sure to post pics and a full review tomorrow :)

Mariqueen Maandig Reznor, beautiful wife of and new musical collaborator with Trent Reznor, has confirmed officially to Women’s Wear Daily that she and TR are expecting their first child! Q talks to WWD a bit about her pregnancy, her love of fashion and the new self-titled EP from How to Destroy Angels (her new band project with TR) which is released in stores today. Mariqueen Maandig, the 29-year-old singer of How to Destroy Angels, prefers to maintain a little anonymity. It’s hardly surprising considering she’s married to rock’s extraordinarily private Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. “I like to stay in a shroud of mystery,” Maandig says. “I tell people [Trent and I] met at a Mensa meeting, because we met under such unusual circumstances,” she continues, declining to elaborate. Maandig even tried to keep her pregnancy under wraps. “There have been requests for photo shoots with these recent interviews, and I needed a good reason to decline,” she says. But now there’s a good reason for the public to know her business. She — along with Reznor, 45, and his longtime collaborator Atticus Ross, 42 — are set to release How to Destroy Angels’ self-titled debut EP today. Known as Q to her friends, Maandig was born in the Philippines but grew up in Orange County. She always knew she wanted to be in show business but wasn’t sure which part of it appealed to her most. “For a brief period in my youth I really wanted to do Broadway,” she says. “But after being in one school musical I realized I wasn’t into [it] as much as I thought, so that dream died.” She continued to sing in her school choir. “Then I got into ‘Miss Saigon,’ which sparked my interest in singing [professionally],” Maandig says. (For the record, her fandom of Nine Inch Nails extended as follows: “I had a couple of his albums but never went to any of his shows or bought any T-shirts.”) But Maandig was also “really into fashion.” So following high school she majored in merchandise marketing at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandise in Orange County. After becoming “uninspired,” she dropped out. “My friend saw that I was really unhappy and asked me what my skills were, and I told her that I can sing,” she recalls. That friend subsequently introduced Maandig to the bass player of psychedelic indie-rock L.A. band West Indian Girl … Then she met Reznor (though she’s not saying how) and they became engaged in spring 2009. By summer she had left West Indian Girl to pursue her own career. She joined Reznor on his “Wave Goodbye” tour and married him in October. Soon they started experimenting with their own music. With Maandig on vocals and synthesizer and Reznor producing the majority of instrumentals with Ross, the trio put together a six-song EP that Maandig describes as more feminine and subtler than Reznor’s unambiguously hard sound … Plans for a full-length follow-up are on hold due to Maandig’s pregnancy, but the band hopes for it in early 2011. Reznor and Ross are also working on a film soundtrack, the name of which they naturally won’t disclose. But right now, the biggest project on Maandig’s mind is a baby name: “I have a list, it’s so hard. It’s like here’s a brand-new life and you’re in charge of it, now go!”

Firstly, MUCH LOVE and CONGRATS to the happy couple on the news of the forthcoming Baby Reznor!! I am quite confident that the couple are elated beyond words. Second, altho How to Destroy Angels already released their debut EP for free online, I know fans will want to rush out to buy the physical copy today as well … so get out there and buy those EPs. As you may recall, Trent Reznor announced last week that he is scoring the upcoming soundtrack to the new David Fincher film The Social Network (due out later this year) so … the Reznors have got A LOT going on. Let’s send them all our love and congrats today. Isn’t this just the best news … I couldn’t be happier for the expanding family :D

It wasn’t that long ago that the sight of Matthew McConaughey wearing little more than boardshorts and flip-flops was a daily occurrence … but since he settled down with babymama Camila Alves and fathered two children with her, Matthew‘s shirtless days have been few and very far between. When once he would be shirtless in his front yard, at the grocery store, at church (not really) now we only get to see him shirtless at the beach … and not even then because he now likes to cover up with a wet suit. But, at last, Matty boy decided to get back to the good ol’ days when clothing was a option he would normally opt out of … here are photos of Matthew with his son Levi Alves at the beach in Malibu, CA yesterday afternoon:

Ah yes … I remember these pecs. It’s been a while since we’ve seen them, tho. But you know, in all honesty, as much as it would be nice to see the man half-nekkid all day every day again I much prefer the more settled Matthew McConaughey to the previously more wild, less dressed Matthew McConaughey. I think is role as father has really changed him for the better and whether he’s clothed or not, it makes him seem all the sexier. At least now we know we can count on him to share the flesh every once-in-a-while … and that is always a good thing.
