While Jersey Shore‘s Jenni Jwow Farley was debuting her trashtastic fashion line called Filthy Couture in Las Vegas, NV the stylishly sexy actor/singer Jared Leto was at a real fashion show at Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2010-2011 in Paris, France. As you may recall, it wasn’t that long ago that we saw photos of Jared rockin’ a hot pink mo’hawk on stage with his band 30 Seconds to Mars. Well, gone is the pink’hawk and here is a gold’hawk which Jared debuted at the Christian Dior show at the Musee Rodin earlier today:

Aww … I miss the pink. I mean, yeah, Jared looks hawt with this bleach blonde golden’hawk but … sigh … I liked him when he was pink. In any event, Jared looked really fab with his trenchcoat and sneakers ensemble. The boy does know how to dress. It’s always great to see Mr. Leto here show off his fashion sense … he’s got a great knack for making great fashion statements without falling into douche territory. I approve … and I must find these shoes!

Back in January we learned the horrid news that Jersey Shore castmember Jenni Jwoww Farley would be releasing her own fashion line and today we get to see the fruits of her labor. Jwoww unveiled her new line of clothing called Filthy Couture (natch) in Las Vegas, NV (double natch) and here is our first look at some of the pieces from her new line:

When looking at Jenni “J-Woww” Farley’s clothing line, you get the sense she had a very specific customer in mind: namely herself and her friends … The name of Farley’s line is “Filthy Couture,” so it’s not as if she’s trying to act like she’s competing with Chanel: these are party clothes, designed for clubbing and potentially eating ham in when you’re drunk and in a confessional booth on reality tv. The line sort of embodies why everyone loves Jersey Shore, and Snooki and JWoww in particular: it is unapologetic in its tackiness and embraces the ridiculous; gold embellishments, bright colors, deep cuts—the models are even smiling and wearing bright nail polish and bright lipstick. Everyone here looks like they want to go dancing. Whether or not it’s at an establishment you’d want to hit up is really your biz. Some of this stuff looks straight off the set of a Britney Spears video in 1999, right? Like Melissa Joan Hart should be dancing to “Crazy” in the background? Baby-doll dresses are a key element here, I guess. As are boobs, I’m thinking, because 98% of this collection seems to be designed with J-Woww’s particular body type in mind … And I don’t think this would have been out of place in a Motley Crue video from 1986. But I mean, please. Let’s stop acting like bringing back shoulder pads or any other heinous style from the 80s is any better … Everything is super-short and with a plunging neckline. If nothing else, the collection is cohesive … I’m not sure what the fashion world will say about her collection, but does it matter? She’s not trying to be Alexander Wang; she’s trying to be JWoww, and her clothes are just a reflection of who she is and what she sees as a market that needs to be catered to. I do wonder, however, if they’re machine washable. Gym, tanning, dry cleaners doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.

Ye gods, this stuff is atrocious … and yet, so fitting for someone of Jwoww‘s stature. While it may be true that serious stylistas with any modicum of taste would be caught dead wearing any of these pieces, there does seem to be population of Jwoww-like ladies out there who would prolly rock the hell out of this shizz (particularly the ladies who are trying to snag the guys who’d wear clothing from Mike The Situation Sorrentino‘s new clothing line). Yes, all of it is very fug … but I bet this stuff will do well with the folks out there who aspire to everything that Jwoww has achieved with her reality TV fame (yes, those folks exist). I guess they need to wear clothes too … right? What do y’all think? Do any of Jwoww‘s designs speak to you? If so, what do they say?

It’s been quite a few months since we’ve seen Madonna and her much younger toyboy Jesus Luz out and about and lookin’ amorous together … when last we saw them, they were gettin’ smoochy in Brazil last February at Carnival. Today we get to see new photos of Madonna & Child suckin’ face in Hyde Park at the Wireless Music Festival in London over the weekend … it would seem that the couple are still going strong:

When they started dating nearly two years ago, nobody thought it would last. But last night, Madonna and Jesus Luz showed their relationship is stronger than ever as they enjoyed a passionate kiss while watching Jay-Z perform at Wireless Festival. The 51-year-old star looked trendy in a leather jacket and grey fedora hat, while 23-year-old Brazilian model Jesus went for the casual look in a black shirt, as they arrived at the Hyde Park music event … the couple appeared in a world of their own last night, apparently not caring who saw them as they embraced in the VIP area. Madonna and Jesus were also accompanied by Madonna’s 14-year-old daughter Lourdes, who looked fashionable in a blue jumper as she watched Jay-Z’s performance while standing with friends. Other celebrity guests watching the American rapper’s headlining act at the closing night of the festival included his wife Beyoncé and close friend Gwyneth Paltrow. Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint, Sadie Frost and Amy Winehouse were also spotted backstage throughout the day, which also saw a performance from pop princess Lily Allen.

Dude they are still going at it? I mean, wow, I’m surprised. I knew that these two were hot and heavy for a while and it seemed like they had cooled considerably in the past few months but it’s clear there is still an attraction between them. Their relationship works so well for one another, tho Jesus is deffo getting the better end of the deal. I doubt that these two will ever really take things to the next serious level but don’t be surprised if we see them going at it like this on and off for some time to come. Who’d've thunk they’d still be this much in lurve after all this time?

David and I enjoyed a very nice and quiet 4th of July with our friends Emma and Josh yesterday at their place and we had a total blast all together. Emma provided a bountiful feast while Josh took care of the drinks … ’twas a nice time, indeed:

After we tried to watch the fireworks from the roof (not a good idea) we decided to venture out to the park to get a better view … we kinda got sidetracked and ended up watching the light show from a street corner. Trust me, it was fun … even tho it doesn’t sound like it ;) The best part of the night was just hanging out by the fire-pit together. David and I love them so much, we had a blast.

This evening, the 4 of us are meeting up again to see the new Joan Rivers documentary A Piece of Work. I hope all y’all are enjoying this extra day of vacation … woot!

Last week we learned that Lindsay Lohan‘s birthday/4th of July weekend got off to a bit of a rocky start after she got punched in the face by a waitress at her pre-birthday party and then got pulled over by the cops on arrival at her birthday dinner … but today we learn that the rest of her Independence Day weekend went a bit more smoothly. On Saturday night, a very stylishly dressed L. Lo made her way to a private house party in the hills and managed to make it thru the night without incident. On Sunday afternoon, she surfaced in Malibu, CA and — again — avoided incident:

Firstly, Lindsay looks fantastic in all of these photos. It’s clear she wanted to clean herself up for her birthday. She managed to avoid any run-ins with the police (that we know of) and was able to successfully make it thru the weekend without succumbing to any drama. Trust me, I know that one well-behaved weekend does not mean she has turned over a new leaf but it’s a good sign. Lindsay is due to appear before the judge overseeing her probation case and may have her court-ordered SCRAM alcohol-monitoring bracelet removed. Of course, the judge may instead rule that she needs to keep the SCRAM bracelet on and may punish her for alleged violations of the terms of her probation. We’ll see how long this good behavior lasts … for her sake, it hope she has turned over a new leaf. Perhaps she’s found wisdom at the new age of 24 … after all, miracles can happen.

On Friday we saw photos of LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan doing a bit of warming up at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA as he prepped for his first Galaxy soccer game since returning home to the US from the World Cup in South Africa. The Galaxy took on the Seattle Sounders in Carson last night in a battle for 4th of July supremacy and managed to soundly defeat the Sounders by a score of 3 – 1. Here are a few photos of Landon Donovan doing his thing on the soccer field last night and some deets about the game:

Los Angeles Galaxy moved nine points clear at the top of Major League Soccer’s Western Conference on Sunday night courtesy of a 3-1 home win over Seattle Sounders. Edson Buddle opened the scoring for the Galaxy after 18 minutes and Juninho doubled their advantage three minutes after the interval. Steve Zakuani halved the deficit for the visitors midway through the second period but a James Riley own goal 13 minutes from time restored the two-goal cushion. Buddle and Landon Donovan were playing for the first time since returning from World Cup duty. The result marked Los Angeles’ 11th win in 15 games and left the Sounders second from bottom in the Western Conference.

You know, I bet Landon is really happy that David Beckham — his LA Galaxy teammate — is off enjoying some vacation time with his family in Europe these days because with Becks out of the picture, he is the big soccer cheese here in LA. Actually, I’d go so far as to say that Landon Donovan is currently the most famous soccer player in the whole US. I’m glad his performance at the World Cup has elevated his status a bit, hopefully he can use the momentum to keep bringing wins for the LA Galaxy. Landon has languished in Becks‘s shadow for a long time … hopefully this will be his time to shine.

It’s been some time since we’ve seen mama Gwen Stefani out and about with her son Kingston James but the duo surfaced here in SoCal over the weekend at a local Party City here in town. Gwen emerged from the store with a large bouquet of balloons while Kingston carried a small Spider-Man piñata. I’m gonna take a wild guess and say they were headed for a birthday party:

Gwen and her boys attend a lot of birthday parties so it’s not totally clear where they were headed with this stash of party supplies. My hope is that they went straight home so that Gwen could burn the oversized, saggy diaper bottoms she wore on this errand. I’m sure someone’s gonna say that these baggy pants things are “fashion forward” but they just look silly to me. In any event, Kingston is still far too young to be publicly embarrassed by his mother’s dress and he looks really happy with his pinata so I think he’ll be ok. Ah Gwen, I still heart you … whether you wear MC Hammer pants or not.

Spotted … Blake Lively and Leighton Meeter in Paris, France filming scenes for the upcoming 4th season of the hit CW TV series Gossip Girl. As you GG fans may recall, last season ended with Blake and Leighton‘s characters Serena and Blair packing their bags for an upcoming trip to spend the Summer in Paris together. This week, production of the series starts up as the ladies get to work on season 4:

Yes, while some are enjoying Summer vacations both here and abroad, the GG cast is already hard at work on the next season of their show. Tho, I have to say … filming in the beautiful city of Paris doesn’t seem like that much hard work to me ;) I doesn’t seem like that long ago that Gossip Girl season 3 was still on the air … now they’re filming the new season and new eps of the show will be back on the air in no time. Blah! It seems like the Summer just goes faster and faster with each passing year. I’m certain we’ll be seeing more of the Gossip gang in Paris in the coming weeks. Oh la la.

When last we saw Zac Efron flaunting his wares on the beach he was on the island of Maui, Hawaii enjoying some downtime in between events at the 2010 Maui Film Festival (which honored him with this year’s Shining Star Award) but today we learn that Zac has already made his way back home to SoCal. He was spotted with a group of friends on a beach in Malibu, CA celebrating the 4th of July yesterday … but, unfortunately, he was fully clothed:

Yeah, I know … we can’t expect the guy to be nekkid all the time but you’d think he’d be more willing to shed his shirt at the beach no matter what the circumstance. In his defense, it was a bit chilly here in SoCal yesterday so I can’t really fault him for wanting to keep his shirt on … plus, he still looks good in these photos. Let’s just hope that the weather heats up significantly here in SoCal so that Zac can feel more free to disrobe just as significantly as the Summer continues.
