Earlier this week we got to see the latest movie trailer released for the upcoming sequel film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (part 1) and today we get our first look at a new teaser movie poster for the film, due out this November … behold:

Um … dark. Gah … even tho I know how the story will end, the finality implied by this poster is … sad. I know there are a lot of y’all who are very excited to see this film — as am I — but I’m not sure I’m quite ready for the Harry Potter saga to be finished on the big screen. Thank goodness The Deathly Hallows will be split over 2 films but even still … the end is nigh.

Earlier this week Darion and I made plans to hang out together last night and our little hang out session turned into a fun night with old friends we hadn’t hung out with in ages. David and I met up with Steph, Alek and Darion for dinner at Fat Fish and then we made our way to The Abbey for drinks afterward:

We ended up running into our friend Mike at The Abbey as well as a bunch of Darion’s friends … it was a really nice night out! Try as we might to get him hooked up with a nice fella, Darion managed to hit on every single straight guy at The Abbey last night. Oy! Nonetheless, a blast was had by all.

No plans for today … I think we’re gonna keep it chill. We’re planning on heading down to Laguna Beach, CA tomorrow but today … keepin’ it chill. Happy 4th of July Weekend!

Yesterday we learned that Lindsay Lohan got punched in the face by a waitress at Voyeur nightclub on the eve of her 24th birthday (which was yesterday) and today we learn that L. Lo got busted by the cops for a traffic infraction as she was making her way to her birthday dinner at Beso last night. Well, to clarify, her assistant was the one who got busted but Lindsay was in the car when the bust went down … but, of course, she quickly bolted from the car and left her assistant holding the bag — er, traffic ticket:

Oh yeah, in case you were wondering, Lindsay‘s old assistant (pictured above) came back to her thankless job after the new boy assistant didn’t work out. Yeah, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that this wasn’t Lindsay‘s best birthday ever. Getting punched in the face at your pre-birthday party and then busted by the cops right before your birthday dinner isn’t the best way to celebrate ones 24th. Ah well, better luck next year Linds!

There has been a lot of talk in the past couple of years about the much-anticipated (and LONG overdue) Ghostbusters 3 movie, including talk from Ghostbusters star Dan Akroyd last year about how he would like to see Eliza Dushku cast in the film:

Former Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd is talking about strapping on the ol’ proton pack one more time for a third Ghostbusters movie. Aykroyd is saying his co-stars from the first two films — Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver – are also on board, and that production could start as soon as this winter. Aykroyd wants the new movie to introduce a team of five younger Ghostbusters, including several female members. He’s hoping to land Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku and Alyssa Milano to be a part of the “next generation” of Ghostbusters.

Eliza herself has been talking about the possibility of starring in the film, this is what she told to HollywoodLife back in February about the possibility of nabbing a role in Ghostbusters 3:

“I don’t know anything, I don’t have a script – it’s still a rumor thing right now” the 29-year-old actress, who starred on the recently canceled Fox show, Dollhouse, admitted to HollywoodLife.com at Discovery’s Life premiere in Los Angeles Feb. 25. She added, “But I would be excited to do it! Dan is a friend since I was a young, and I love [original star Sigourney Weaver] and would love to zip on a proton pack!”

And just recently, while she was in Australia at the Supernova Convention, she snapped this photo and posted it to her official Twitter account:

The highly anticipated third film in the Ghostbusters franchise has been something of a frustration for fans following it, as news has been leaking for over a decade yet fans are still left without a film. However, things became much more real when, a few months ago, Harold Ramis said “Ghostbusters 3″ had gone into pre-production and would be out by Christmas 2012, and rumors surrounding the cast started being spread, like Bill Murray possibly appearing as a ghost, and Eliza Dushku joining the team as a female Ghostbuster. And now Eliza Dushku has really piqued fans curiosity, as she recently posted the above photo on her Twitter account, with the following tweet: “Check me out.. I REALLY like THIS get-up! Lol. Who ya gonna call!” It could of course mean nothing, but word from the Supanova convention in Australia, where the above picture was taken, has Eliza saying that she’s signed on to a big movie and is waiting for the studio to make an announcement. So if that’s true, could it be “Ghostbusters 3″? It seems highly likely. IMDB also has Eliza listed as “rumored” for the part of Scarlet Witch in Joss Whedon’s upcoming “The Avengers”, so it could be that, too. Either way, with SDCC just a few short weeks away, we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to find out.

HMMM … I think at this point all the rumors and hints going around are a pretty good indication that she got the part. I, for one, think she would be fantastic in Ghostbusters 3. I also think it’s highly likely that she will score a part in Whedon‘s The Avengers … I could see her as Scarlet Witch … but one casting rumor at a time. The Ghostbusters Proton Pack looks fab on her, don’t you think? Do YOU think she’d made a good Ghostbuster?

Anderson Cooper and his rumored boyfriend Benjamin Maisani were spotted making their exit together from David Barton Gym in NYC, NY yesterday which is just the latest sighting to fan the flames of their rumored romance. Here are a couple photos of the guys leaving the gym together … do they look coupley to you?

Now, just because a couple of dudes are spotted at the gym together doesn’t necessarily mean that they are together together … but the gym is widely held as the “gay church” and, well, I suppose it can be viewed as suspect that Andy and Ben are together together. In the end, it really doesn’t matter if the guys are involved or not … but it would be really fantastic if Anderson Cooper were to come out (should he have anything to come out about). As you may recall, The National Enquirer reported earlier this year that Anderson and Benjamin were planning to adopt a Haitian baby together. Of course that story was merely a fabrication but, again, I would really love it if it were true. I’m not sure I love the cutoff shorts that Benjamin is wearing in these photos … perhaps it’s a nod to the Twilight werewolves? If that were the case then I think it would be very safe to assume that the rumors about these guys are true ;) Whatever is really going on between these two … let’s say, friends … they sure do look like a hot couple, wouldn’t you say?
