Last night I met up with my friends Tam and Rob at their place to do a bit of hanging out before we met up with Eileen for dinner at The Desert Rose in Los Feliz, CA. Tam picked the restaurant and despite the crazy-cheesy atmosphere, the food was absolutely delicious! Eileen had just returned from a European vacation so we got to hear about her fun trip and just got to all catch up with one another. Because the Turtle Party kinda went on a bit of a hiatus, we’re trying to get it together again so we can all hang out again on a semi-regular basis this Summer. After dinner, we met up with Ollie and Caleb at The Vista to see Toy Story 3:

Tam, Rob and I had already seen TS3 and were anxious to see it again but Eileen, Ollie and Caleb had not seen the movie yet. Seeing Toy Story 3 at The Vista was really super fun. It really is one of the best movie theaters in LA and should be experienced at least once in your lifetime. Naturally, we all loved the movie immensely … a fun time was had by all.

After the movie, all of us except for Eileen reconvened at Tam and Rob’s place and we somehow decided to watch the movie Tremors becuase, well, why not. I have the most random fun with those kids, we had a blast.

Tonight, Adriana and I are going to see Dead Man’s Bones perform in Eagle Rock. I had mistakenly thought the DMB show was a couple of weeks ago but tonight is the actual night of the show. I can’t wait to see the band perform live again. They were so great last Halloween, I’m curious to see what a non-Halloween show will be like. Victoria Beckham, who has famously been rockin’ a very short hair’do for the past year or so, has decided to get some length back and stepped out in Cannes, France yesterday showing off her new hair weave. As you may have heard, there was a ridiculous rumor going around that Vicki B. and hubby David Beckham were splitting up but that, of course, turned out to be nonsense … even still, these photos are the first of VB out and about since those rumors started to swirl:

Victoria Beckham stepped out today for the first time following rumours she and husband David were planning to split earlier this week. Wearing a summery yellow dress, Victoria looked happy and relaxed as she arrived in the south of France with her three sons for a holiday break in their chateau. The 36-year-old showed no sign of added stress following her publicist being forced to deny reports the couple were planning to announce the end of their marriage. As well as pair of sky-high nude heels and a snake-print handbag, Victoria also showed off her new longer hair as she arrived in Cannes. The new style, which appears to have been achieved through hair extensions, is the latest in a string of new ‘dos for the former Spice Girls star. As well as a peroxide blonde crop, Victoria has also experimented with blonde highlights and a pixie-style cut. She was accompanied by sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz as she made her way to the family chateau in Bargemon to wait for David, who is planning to fly to France following the World Cup in South Africa. The footballer is currently in Sun City in an advisory role to the England team. Earlier in the week, the couple’s publicists moved swiftly to deny Frank PR’s managing director Andrew Bloch’s claims that the pair were about to split. He had written on Twitter: ”I am hearing from a number of sources that Victoria and David Beckham are due to announce their separation in a few hours.’ He later updated his page, adding: ‘I have confirmation direct from Team Beckham that the separation rumour is “utter nonsense”. Very good news indeed.’ Bloch later told the Daily Mail: ‘I was just re-tweeting what everyone else had been saying, when all of a sudden I got a message from my friend Simon Oliviera saying it was rubbish. ‘I was more than pleased to put up a denial. I am so sorry for any problems that were caused.’

Yeah, about Becks‘s advisory role at the World Cup for Team England, yeah, that’s over. The English team fell to Germany by a score of 4-1 today, ending their 2010 World Cup run. Ah well, at least Becks as a still-committed wife (now with longer hair) to return home to. You know, I gotta say, even tho I hate the idea of hair extensions, I kinda love Vicki B. with longer hair. The look suits her better, I think. The shorter ‘do is stylish but very severe … I think the longer locks soften her up a bit. She now looks like a robot you could hug and might even hug you back. What do y’all think of VB‘s new look … do you like?

When last we saw little Satyana out with her mommy Alyson Hannigan she was still just a wee little thing hiding under a big hat begin carried around by daddy in a baby carrier … today we see that the lil’ miss has grown a bit and has practically become a big girl. Aly and Satyana have been spending a bit of time at the beach in the past few weeks, here are photos of mother and daughter enjoying the sun and surf yesterday afternoon:

Look at all of that hair! Satyana looks exactly like her mommy … they are the cutest ever! It looks like Satyana ain’t quite at the toddler stage yet but she’s getting there … fast. I hear the Hannigan-Denisofs are planning to spend quite a bit of time at the beach this Summer … I hope we get to see more of this kind of cuteness in the moths ahead ;)

Yesterday we learned that Prince Harry of Wales has made his way to the US to enjoy a 3 day visit in the New York region in an effort to strength the US-UK military alliance and to raise awareness for the need to aid wounded veterans after they return home from their tours of duty. Yesterday we saw photos of Harry with the cadets at West Point Military Academy and on the deck of the museum ship the USS Intrepid which is docked in NYC. Today we get to see a few fun photos of Harry throwing out the first pitch yesterday at Citi Field for the NY Mets (who played the Minnesota Twins) and participating in the Achilles Hope And Possibility Race event that took place in Central Park earlier today:

Britain’s Prince Harry has a pretty good arm. Harry threw the ceremonial first pitch with a bit of zip before the Mets played the Minnesota Twins on Saturday, the second day of his visit to New York. “He did well,” said Mets knuckleballer R.A. Dickey(notes), who tutored Harry for a few minutes before his pitch. Without much fanfare, Harry walked to the mound when the Mets ran onto the field before the first inning and received polite applause from the Citi Field crowd. He was wearing a blue Mets cap and a white T-shirt with “walking with the wounded” written on the front in red lettering. The Mets had made him a pinstriped jersey with “Wales” and the number 22 on the back … Standing on the pitching rubber, Harry sheepishly waved to the crowd before shaking his right arm several times and doing a full body jiggle to loosen up. He then made a hard, accurate throw that was a little high, forcing catcher Rod Barajas(notes) to stand from his crouch to make the catch of the pitch that crossed the plate. Dickey spent about five minutes with Harry before the game helping him with his mechanics. He said the prince was throwing with a more straight-armed cricket throw so he told him to bend his elbow. “We didn’t talk about Parliament or anything,” Dickey said. “We’re just two guys having a catch” … A lieutenant in the British Army, Harry spent several innings in a luxury suite with Mets owner Fred Wilpon, the founder of Welcome Back Veterans, a charity which provides support and treatment for soldiers with post traumatic stress disorder.

HMMMM … don’t you think that Prince Harry looks pretty good as a baseball player? It looks like he’s got his form down, I think the Mets should do everything they can to sign him up. But in all seriousness, yeah, Harry looks like he would make a right good baseball jock. The look suits him. Yesterday we learned that lovebirds Britney Spears and Jason Trawick packed up their shizz and left LA so that they could enjoy a romantic weekend getaway together down in Palm Springs, CA and I mentioned that Britwick made a few pit stops on their way out of town at a few of Britney‘s favorite places — namely Starbucks, Denny’s and the gas station. Today we get to see a few really cute photos of Britney getting a gas pumping lesson from her man at said gas station:

Okay, yeah, I know it’s weird to see a couple lookin’ all in lurve at the gas station but y’all know how much Britney loves her gas stations. And, to be honest, we don’t usually get to see the couple looking so normal and happy together. While it may sound weird for a couple to be affectionate at the gas pump, I’m certain that many of y’all have gotten all lovey-dovey in random places … it’s just sweet to see Britwick look so loving towards one another. This is a side of the couple (er, the affection not the gas pumping) that I would LOVE to see more of in the future.

Kylie Minogue joined her BFFs (and musical collaborators) the Scissor Sisters on stage yesterday on Day 3 of the Glastonbury Festival taking place this weekend on Worthy Farm in Glastonbury, England. Sisters singer Ana Matronic explained to the crowd that a “lucky, lucky concert-goer” was chosen to join the band on stage to sing one song with them … it turns out that that “lucky concert-goer” was none other than Kylie Minogue herself who dueted with the band on their song Any Which Way:

Kylie Minogue beamed as she took to the stage tonight for her Glastonbury debut. The 42-year-old singer wore a sexy see-through leotard and thigh high boots with disco ball-type mirrored detailing as she performed during the Scissor Sisters set. She performed Any Which Way at Glastonbury with the Scissor Sisters’ frontman Jake Shears, who co-wrote her new album Aphrodite, from which her new single All The Lovers is taken. It was a Glastonbury first for Kylie, who pulled out of the festival in 2005 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. And the broad smile on her face throughout her performance showed she couldn’t have been happier to have finally made it to the world-famous music festival. Speaking before her performance, Kylie said she couldn’t wait to get back to performing live, explaining: ‘It’s how I connect with people, that’s what I really wanted to do, get back on stage.’ The Scissor Sisters set was watched by thousands of people, including celebrity fan Kate Hudson, who is at the festival to support new boyfriend Matt Bellamy when he headlines the second night with his band Muse.

Sidebar: I had no idea that Kate Hudson had hooked up with the Muse dude, wasn’t she just with Alex Rodriguez from the NY Yankees? I can’t even keep up with that girl and her many men … but I digress. I absolutely LOVE that Kylie joined the Scissor Sisters on stage for their Glastonbury performance yesterday … what a fun treat for the fans in the audience. Kylie shared on her official Twitter account that she was outfitted with a stage access pink wristband but I assumed she would just be hanging out with the band on stage … not actually performing.
