"I’m in the gym ... doing reps ... reading the books ... I’m gonna be Jacob Black."
Taylor Lautner Does ‘GQ’ Magazine . . . Again

Twilight beefcake Taylor Lautner, who we learned last month scored his own comic book, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of GQ magazine. You may recall that Tay Tay was featured in the pages of GQ last October but that appearance was just a small fashion editorial feature on fitted shirts (tho, we did get to see a bunch of hawt pics) … this time, homie is on the cover! Here is our first look at Taylor on the cover of GQ along with some excerpts from his coverstory interview:

At 18 years old, Taylor Lautner has found himself to be the heartthrob of millions of teens around the world, despite his short acting resume. His loyal Twilight fans have propelled him into the spotlight for his role as Jacob Black, (once a mob of rabid “Team Jacob” members swarmed him in a Brazil, forcing him and co-star, Kristen Stewart, to lock themselves in a small room until the SWAT team arrived). But this level of fame, as GQ senior editor Mickey Rapkin discovers (over lunch at the Olive Garden), comes from an extremely humble and oddly fortuitous beginning – one that involves a karate program, the Blue Power Ranger, and his pilot father. And while Lautner seems to have learned to cope better with his popularity, the young star demonstrates an impressive level of modesty and a sincere appreciation for his comparably quiet home-life for someone experiencing such success so early on.

Taylor Lautner on what it felt like to present at the Oscars, with Kristen Stewart:
“I would have passed out if she wasn’t there!” Lautner says. “You’re looking down and you’re talking to George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio—and they’re listening to you!”

Taylor Lautner on having to audition a second time for the role of Jacob Black:
“I’m in the gym, and I’m doing reps, and I’m reading the books, and I’m studying the character. I’m just saying to myself, ‘I want this role. I love this role. I’m not gonna lose it. And I’m gonna know it better than anybody, and I’m gonna do that extra
rep, because I’m gonna be Jacob Black.’ ”

Taylor Lautner on if he’s considered getting his own place:
“Um, you know, not so much. There’s really no point. I’m so busy. I really haven’t thought about it…. The thing I love is that my home life hasn’t changed. I still help out with the garbage. I still help out with the lawn.”

Taylor Lautner on being careful about his rep as a “beefcake”:
“Originally I was supposed to take off my shirt. The script [of Valentine’s Day] said we were walking into school and Willy takes off his shirt. I said, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa. Time out. He’s gonna take off his shirt in the middle of school? No, no, no. The reason I took off my shirt for New Moon is because it’s written in the book that way. And there’s reasons behind it.”

Awww … our little Taylor is becoming a man so quickly. One day he’s featured somewhere in the pages of the biggest men’s magazine in the world and the next he is gracing the cover with his own coverstory interview. My, how time flies. After the jump, check out one more photo from Taylor‘s GQ photospread to see what’s in store for you when you buy this magazine when it hits newsstands next week …

Meet the new First Ladies of the 'Housewives' franchise
Bravo TV Introduces ‘The Real Housewives Of Washington DC’

Back in May of 2009, Bravo TV announced the initial development of The Real Housewives of Washington DC and today — over a year later — we get our first look at the newest batch of ladies to join the Real Housewives family. Here is our first look at the first promo photo of the DC Housewives cast along with the full text of the press release announcement:

The most talked about installment of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives” franchise is set to take on the Hill, premiering on Thursday, August 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Bravo’s “The Real Housewives” franchise presents a slice of life amongst affluent, educated women, some raising kids, some driving careers, all interacting with friends and family as determined by the unwritten social rules of the Beltway. With the franchise’s expansion to our nation’s capital, “The Real Housewives of D.C.” introduces five intriguing women whose relationships with each other, and with the city in which they live, are a compelling combination to explore the nexus of politics, society, and even race, as well as how the proximity to political power dictates where one fits within Beltway society. These connected D.C. power players all have their pulse on the most important cultural events, political galas, gallery openings, and fundraisers in Washington society. They are: Mary Schmidt Amons, the true Washingtonian and granddaughter of radio and TV personality Arthur Godfrey; the mother hen and owner of D.C.’s top modeling agency, Lynda Erkiletian; feisty Brit Catherine Ommanney, married to a White House photographer; model and founder of D.C.’s America’s Polo Cup, Michaele Salahi who became the focus of media attention following the White House state dinner last November; and Harvard grad, active political fund raiser, and philanthropist Stacie Scott Turner. For more information, click HERE. “The Real Housewives of D.C.” went into production shortly after the historic election and inauguration, reflecting D.C. almost as its own character in the series. “We wanted to dive into the Beltway subculture as it underwent an historic shift, one that previously has not been readily accessible or portrayed, and look at the political hierarchy and definitive social circles that make up D.C.’s unique society,” said Andy Cohen, Senior Vice President, Original Programming and Development, Bravo. “We knew this was going to expose a different social narrative from any of our other ‘Housewives’ series – provocative and engaging in a whole new way.” Bringing viewers inside the lives and homes of movers and shakers in the community, the D.C. housewives move comfortably from fundraisers and prominent events to discussing everything from issues about race to money and politics to relationships and high fashion.

Most of the cast of The Real Housewives of Washington DC aren’t particularly famous outside our nation’s capital … save for Michaele Salahi, who you may know as the tacky White House party crasher. Based on her behavior thus far, I can already tell that I’m not going to like her very much. The other ladies, tho, look very nice and will likely be great additions to the Real Housewives franchise. After the jump, check out individual promo photos of the the new cast and find out a little bit more about each of them …

For the second time in 4 months!
Another Car Belonging To Charlie Sheen Has Been Stolen, Driven Into A Ravine

Remember back in February of this year when we heard that one of Charlie Sheen‘s cars had been stolen from his home and then was found at the bottom of a ravine in the Hollywood Hills here in SoCal? Yeah, well, it happened again … no lie. A second car belonging to Charlie Sheen was stolen last night and was, again, driven off a cliff in the Hollywood Hills here in SoCal:

For the second time in recent months, a luxury vehicle belonging to “Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen has been found over the side of a cliff near the actor’s Sherman Oaks home, police have confirmed to KTLA. A security guard spotted the Mercedes-Benz in a ditch along the 13,300 block of Mulholland Drive just before 3 a.m. Tuesday, according to Los Angeles Police Department officials. The vehicle was about 100 feet over the side. Fire crews responded and determined the vehicle had been abandoned. The engine was running and the keys were inside the ignition. Officials ran the plates and the vehicle came back registered to Charlie Sheen, police told KTLA. LAPD officials contacted the actor at his home and he didn’t even know the car had been missing. It’s being assumed the car was stolen, police told KTLA. The incident is under investigation. The scene was almost identical to one that played out a few months back involving another one of Sheen’s luxury vehicles. In February, a different Mercedes-Benz belonging to Sheen was found upside-down at the bottom of a ditch in the same area. The actor had reported the car stolen from his nearby gated community. Sheen reportedly parked the car inside an open garage at his Sherman Oaks home with the keys still inside the ignition. Sheen apparently told authorities he felt safe leaving the car that way because he lives in a gated community. It was not clear whether the actor was targeted in the theft. Investigators said nothing else was burglarized from Sheen’s home.

Ya know, gated community or not … I’m gonna guess that the likelihood of one’s car being stolen and driven off a cliff, into a ravine will go down exponentially if Sheen starts NOT leaving the keys to his unlocked car in the ignition … just a wild guess. I mean … I know that my cars don’t get stolen and driven off cliffs on a regular basis most likely because I don’t leave my keys in the ignition of my unlocked cars but … you know, just WILDLY guessing here. To be honest, I thought the car in the ravine thing was a bit silly the first time around … this time it sounds downright dumb. Lock your cars, Charlie. Seriously.
