Talks about playing a drug dealer in his upcoming new film
Chace Crawford Does ‘Los Angeles Confidential’ Magazine

Last Friday Chace Crawford got busted in Texas for misdemeanor marijuana possession but today we get to see him on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Los Angeles Confidential magazine. In his coverstory interview, Chace talks about how much of a departure it was for him to play a marijuana drug dealer in his upcoming new film Twelve and then ends the interview by disclosing his plan to drive out to Texas (his home State) in order to clear his head … which is, apparently, when he went home and got busted for pot possession. Oh, the irony. Here is Chace‘s Los Angeles Confidential coverphoto and some excerpts from his interview:

LOS ANGELES CONFIDENTIAL: You lived here when you went to Pepperdine University. Now you’re based in New York for Gossip Girl; do you like coming back to LA?
CHACE CRAWFORD: I love being in LA. New York and LA are polar opposites. I’m a Dallas boy, so for the weather, LA is where it’s at. I think the New York winters may end up driving me back out to the West Coast. What makes Hollywood Hollywood is the weather. The sun kind of hits you different out here, so every time I come here it’s rejuvenating.

LAC: In your film Twelve, out this July, you play a young drug dealer. Why was this a role you wanted to take on?
CC: It’s a complete departure for me. The character grew up with the privilege and the money, but his father is running the family’s bankrupt business, and his mom was stricken with cancer and battled that and died. So he’s almost forced to sell marijuana, and he doesn’t even know what he’s doing. He’s in over his head. It’s good for me because it’s a heroic figure, but it’s a pretty tragic, dark, melodramatic movie.

LAC: Turning to Gossip Girl, you and Serena finally really got together this season. When you and Blake saw the script, did you have a sense of, Yay, finally?
CC: I think it was almost more like, On to the next one. They’ve given her 15 game-player boyfriends, and they’ve given me everyone in the cast. It’s funny because in a certain sense our characters are very similar, and it kind of just makes sense. I was also pumped because Blake and I are good friends, and it’s just fun; we have a blast working together.

LAC: You live in a world where you are constantly in the public eye and dealing with the paparazzi. How do you handle it?
CC: In the minefield of cell-phone cameras, iPhone cameras and TMZ, it’s all so instantaneous now. It’s not worth trying to walk on eggshells and cut corners, so you either live a certain lifestyle or you don’t and hang out with certain people or you don’t. I’m single in New York, and [my castmates and I] are all in our mid-twenties, so it’s not feasible to say we’re not going to go out and have fun. It’s just how you do it and how you conduct yourself. It annoys me because you start to develop a certain kind of paranoia, and it’s a subconscious thing. I hate that. You sort of have to work through it and deal with it because it’s inevitable. And most of the time the stuff that’s said is 80 to 90 percent false.

LAC: What’s next for you?
CC: I’m kind of playing it by ear. I think I might drive the car out to Texas this weekend. Just sort of hit the road and clear the head. And relax.

Man … this interview would be so much less interesting if Chace hadn’t gotten arrested for drug possession. Maybe it’s just me but you can read all sorts of things into the answers he gives in this interview … things that pan out in his arrest last Friday. But, for a celeb like Chace, misdemeanor marijuana possession ain’t no thang … he’ll be just fine. And speaking of fine, check out some photos from Chace‘s LA Confidential photoshoot, after the jump …

Shannon Price speaks
Gary Coleman’s Ex-Wife Does Good Morning America

Back on May 28, we learned the shockingly sad news that actor Gary Coleman, who famously starred in the sitcom Diff’rent Strokes in the 80′s, passed away at the age of 42 after his ex-wife Shannon Price made the decision to take him off life support just one day after he suffered a massive head injury in their Utah home. Today, Price — who was NOT married to Coleman at the time of his death — made a televised appearance on Good Morning America to talk about the circumstances surrounding Gary‘s death and to answer some pointed questions about the tragic night that he died. Here are a few screencaps from her appearance and some excerpts from her interview:

Gary Coleman’s ex-wife emphatically denied contributing to the fall that would lead to the former child star’s death last month, saying she “would take my own life before I would ever, ever harm him.” Shannon Price, who arrived for her interview in a wheelchair and had to stop speaking when she thought she might be suffering a seizure, told “Good Morning America” she said is happy that Coleman is no longer suffering. “We discussed death a few times and he always said he would be very unfair if he left me and I really respect that,” Price said “because I loved him and he loved me and we just can’t live without each other.” Coleman, who shot to fame on the television show “Diff’rent Strokes” and struggled as an adult with substance abuse and anger issues, died May 26 of intracranial hemorrhage. Price was by his side as he was removed from life support. In a panicked 911 call, Price can be heard describing the scene after Coleman apparently fell and split the back of his head open, spilling blood “everywhere” and causing her to fear for his life. “His head is bloody. There’s blood all over the floor. I don’t know what happened. I really don’t know what happened,” she told the dispatcher. Coleman can be heard groaning in the background. “Sit down, sit down, Gary sit down! Look at the floor, sit down!” she said on the tape. Then later, she told the dispatcher, “I can’t be here with the blood, I really can’t. I have blood on myself. I can’t deal.” Price said that speculation that she pushed Coleman is untrue. “I asked him if he could make me some food,” she told “Good Morning America.” “He went down there and I heard this big smack. I went down there and found him in a pool of blood.” “People can say whatever they want. I know the truth,” she said. “I would never hurt my husband, ever.” “I was with him down there the whole time. Seeing him in a pool of blood was difficult,” she said. “If it was someone else in my situation I am sure they wouldn’t know what to do either” … Price has been feuding with Coleman’s parents since his death. His funeral was postponed while the two sides argued over where he should be laid to rest. His parents have said they’ve tried contacting Price to get more information about their son’s last hours, but that she has not responded. “My brother called them and talked to the mother and said if you have any questions let me know and she didn’t have anything to say,” Price said. It was recently revealed that the couple had actually divorced in 2008, just shy of their one-year anniversary. Price said they had been meaning to re-new their vows, but their respective health issues got in the way. “We decided that wasn’t what we wanted. We just had a disagreement,” she said. “After we filed and it went through we decided that wasn’t the right choice” … Price said that despite financial struggles, arguments aired on television and the infamous “Divorce Court” appearance, the two were always in love. “Yeah, we had our disagreements, but it was golden,” she said. “Nothing could come between us.” Price said her life is now “up in the air.” “I have had a lot of health issues. I have seizures, I have anxiety,” she said. “I miss my husband a lot. I can barely get around. It’s been a trial.”

Man … I dunno … something about this woman has got me really suspicious of her actions. The fact that the couple were legally divorced in under a year and they never remarried seems clear proof to me that the couple were not as happy as Price would have us believe. I still do not understand how Price had the legal authority to take her ex-husband off life support. Gary Coleman may have been estranged from his parents but the fact that they were not notified of the decision to end his life is very troubling. I also find it very suspect that we have never seen Shannon Price in a wheelchair before … so why now? She was being filming for a television interview, why did she need to be shown in her wheelchair? I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, sometimes way too much, but I simply neither trust nor wholly believe Shannon Price. After the jump, check out video of her interview with Good Morning America and judge for yourselves …

Police authorities angered by Tila's faked suicide attempt
Tila Tequila Stages A Suicide Hoax, Lives

On Friday night, Tila Tequila posted a video to her official website claiming that one of her “multiple personalities” made a violent suicide attempt which left her with “deep slits” of slices in her arm … here is a photo of Tila‘s supposed injuries and the text of her message about the incident:

“I don’t know what happened. People don’t believe I have multiple personalities but this morning the last thing I remember was falling asleep cuz I was so tired. I blacked out and now that I just woke up from excruciating pains all over my body, there was blood and dope everywhere! She is evil! She single handedly smashed and broke EVERYTHING in my bedroom! Both nightstands, the bed lights, all of the surround sound system, my tv boxes and there’s glass everywhere. There’s even chunks of meet coming out of my arm from the deep slits from her slicing up my arm from all the broken glass! My arm meet from inside is starting to bubble up and seep through the cuts. This is so fucked up. Now that I’m awake, she just left but I have no recollection of what happened to me. I’m just crying right now hiding in my toilet…my entire room is in shambles. All the new furniture is broken and glass all over the bed. I don’t know what’s happening! Little Tila.”

As was clearly evident by the fake blood smears on Tila Tequila‘s arm, the whole thing was a sham orchestrated for attention. But, because the authorities take these sorts of things seriously, police officers were dispatched to ensure Tila‘s safety … which turned out to be a huge waste of taxpayer money and police man-hour time:

Several police, paramedics and fire rescue personnel were involved in a frantic search for Tequila over the weekend, after the former reality TV star posted a video on her website of her bloody arm — supposedly sliced at the wrist. The full-scale search spanned several counties and lasted up to five hours. The search was sparked after a series of calls to 911 from concerned readers of Tequila’s blog, RadarOnline.com has learned. Police confirmed officers from the North Hollywood Police Station were assigned to a “welfare check” on Saturday. However, an LAPD officer would not elaborate on the outcome of its investigation and whether Tequila faced further charges … Tequila was eventually located at her suburban Los Angeles home around 2.30pm PT. When police arrived, realizing her stunt had been exposed, Tila turned to Twitter.

“Peace out u ignorant fuck Not my #TilaArmy but whomever said I’m commiting suicide! FUCK OFF! Why would I??? I got mad $$$ & LOVE! STFU”

Police questioned Tequila for more than an hour before concluding the incident wasn’t real. “Tila assured police she was OK,” said a source, familiar with the operation. “Police went through her apartment and while they didn’t indicate what, if anything, they found, Tila was spoken to and advised that it was a stupid stunt… she was warned.”

Meh … all of this is just par for the course for the very troubled Tila Tequila. As you may have heard, she has been cast to appear on the next season of Celebrity Rehab but because the show is having a hard time casting any other celebrities for the show, the new season may never make it to air. We all know how much Tila craves attention so it makes sense that she would try to drum up publicity for herself in any way possible. I honestly do not fear for her life … not at all. She is having way too much fun to ever harm herself. Her silly ploy to out-trainwreck the trainwrecks isn’t even remotely entertaining. Still, I have to wonder … how far will she actually go in order to win the public’s attention when her hoaxes aren’t enough?

Collects accolades, an award and a SMOOCH from Scarlett Johansson
Sandra Bullock Attends The 2010 MTV Movie Awards

Yesterday we learned that Sandra Bullock, who has been out of the public spotlight in the months since the cheating scandal involving her husband Jesse James broke back in March, made a surprise appearance on Saturday night at the 2010 Spike Guys’ Choice Awards. Today, as expected, we hear about Sandra‘s appearance at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards where she was honored with the Generation Award. Sandra Bullock, in fine funny girl fashion, accepted her award with grace and laughter and looked like the good ol’ Sandra that we all know and love … and then she planted a big kiss on Scarlett Johansson‘s lips. Ah … it’s good to have her back:

For the second time in as many days, Sandra Bullock stepped before the public, looking radiant and collecting awards. Sunday night her prize was the Generation Award, presented at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards and marking her first televised appearance since the March 7 Oscars and the domestic drama that followed. Defining the Generation Award as something that goes to “old people” who are clearing out to make way for younger ones, Bullock told the crowd inside Universal City’s Gibson Amphitheater, “That’s not going to happen. I’m staying. Because no matter what you might have seen or heard or read lately, I love what I do. And I’m not going anywhere.” Further clearing the air, Bullock, 45, said in response to what may have been reported about her, “One, I’m not dead. Two, everyone has cellulite, not just me. Paparazzi need more flattering lenses. And whoever established the high road and how high it should be should be fired.” Scarlett Johansson, Bradley Cooper and Betty White introduced Bullock, with the very mention of her name receiving a standing ovation, followed by prolonged applause – all as Bullock was sitting in the audience. “I’m not alone when I tell you I hope you know how loved you are,” said Cooper, also acknowledging that their movie flop, All About Steve, had cleaned up at this year’s Razzies – happily, the same week Bullock won her Oscar for The Blind Side. White said of Bullock, “You are grace defined, and I adore you madly.” Then, in keeping with the riotous nature of the MTV Awards, White made fun of Bullock’s movies, twisting all their plots into pieces. (At the Jan. 23 Screen Actors Guild Awards it was Bullock who presented the Life Achievement Award to White.) Finally, Johansson just stood on the stage and said nothing. Once Bullock got up to the microphone, she told Johansson that she loved her, but her presence was “a little weird,” and asked what she was doing there. The tall blonde explained that she was there for her husband, Bullock’s The Proposal costar Ryan Reynolds, who couldn’t attend. Johansson also noted that Bullock and Reynolds should have won the MTV Award for Best Kiss (which instead went to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson), because their kiss was “so sweet.” So Bullock lip-locked with Johansson. That accomplished, Bullock said, “Can we please go back to normal – because therapy is really expensive.” She also asked for a prayer for those contending with the oil spill in the Gulf.

This is just great … I knew absolutely that Sandra would get back to her old self when she was good and ready to do so and it appears now that she is ready for things to just “go back to normal”. While I’m sure the pain of what she’s endured (and still endures) with her shitty soon-to-be ex-husband Jesse James is still strong, she really seems ready to move on and enjoy life again with her new son Louis Bardo as well as her adoring fans (which is basically everyone on planet Earth). After the jump, check out video of Sandra giving her acceptance speech (and kiss to Scarlett Johansson) at last night’s MTV Movie Awards
